Some of these people seem know her...and Koya will take care of her. I should clear out and make some space.
Vera remarks, "My room is down the hall if you need anything, but otherwise I will take my leave and give you some privacy. "
Heading out into the hall, she notices Lem and walks towards him. While they wait, she reflects out loud, "It's all very concerning, isn't it? To attack someone like that...burning them with fireworks with seemingly no provocation. I'm not sure I'll ever understand the goblin mind..."

Talin follows them out of the room.
It is fortunate that despite their fecundity and natural love of all things fire that they do not do more damage to their environment. However, it is something to be aware of if they must be dealt with, we now know they armed with more than just torches and dogslicers.
Lem breaks slowly out of his trance, a statue coming to life. His words are measured as he speaks. "Very concerning. They are an evil that must be purged." Lem tests the muscles in his arms, contacting and extending them in a controlled motion. He looks toward the dark-haired man. "Knowing is important. We should gather what we know from all who will help. Are the others coming out soon? "
Talin turns back, looking behind him. I do not know. I am Talin by the way, Talin Vhiski
"Ah, yes. Vera Thaddeus. I was in town helping Koya look after her mother, before..." Vera's voice trails off a little, as she feels a brief moment of sadness remembering Niska's death. However, she is quick to recover, "You're Sandru's brother, right?" she asks Talin, before turning to Lem and remarking, "I don't think we have ever been aquainted."
Talin nods, though he remains calm, the Hawk sitting on his shoulder fidgets and preens his wing. I am related by blood yes, but my tribe taught that brothers are not just bound by blood, but by deed. .
Lem shakes with a start. "Of course. I should have. . . . I'm Lem. I . . . I grew up here, but I've been away for awhile." Lem shifts uncomfortably for a moment, before coming to rest, seemingly calm again. "I do not believe I am remembered fondly here. I hope,though, to prove I am not the person I was before."
Following the others out of the room, Yuto nods. "Troubling is not even the half of it." He smiles though and looks to them.
"Yuto Yukimura. Like Lem here, Sandpoint is my home, born and raised." He places a hand on the other mans shoulder. "Good to see you back, Lemollas. Don't take it too rough, but there was a pool on whether you would come back or not!"
Joking aside, he looks to the others. "Well, I think that, for now, the best we can do is pray and hope Shalelu and Ameiko do well. I'm going to go and inform Sheriff Hemlock what has happened. Least the town can do is set a strong watch up to make sure the little creeps don't try to attack in surprise."
GKirkhan, apparently invisible to everyone, gives Vera a hug when her voice trails off.
"Don't be sad. Hyu don't vant to make me sad too, do hyu," Gkirkhan tells her as he wraps his arms around her, his nearly naked body warm and comforting.
Vera lets out a loud and rather embarrassing "eek!", as she quickly pulls away from the mysterious stranger. Red cheeked, she backs away from him, so that Lem, Yuto and Talin are vaguely in between her and the man. Straightening her posture to be assertive, but her voice betraying that she is rather discombobulated, she proclaims quite loudly, "Sir, I do believe you have mistaken me for a woman with which you are familiar."
Turning to Yuto, she replies far to eagerly, "Yes. The sheriff sounds like a great place to go! Perhaps we should check with the others. You know, safety in numbers." Non-subtly giving the Gkirkhan the side eyes, she quickly adds, "B...because of the goblins...of course!"
Yuto just chuckles and nods. "Of course, Miss Thaddeus. Because of the Goblins. Surely no other bothersome folk with green skin around here." He looks over at Gkirkhan and grins before motioning for Vera to follow. "Come along, we'll tell the sheriff all we know. And make sure Shalelu doesn't try anything stupid like sneak out while I'm gone, please. Last thing I need is Ameiko tanning my hide for 'letting' her friend go on a crazy mission half-burnt up."
He leaves, heading out to find the Sheriff.
Talin looks at the group, somewhat confused by the interplay. I have not had the opportunity to meet the Sheriff yet, and it would be wise to inform him quickly of the situation.
He turns to the large Half-orc, seeming more comfortable with him than he has around the others so far. I have not heard your name warrior, yet your skills may be useful on our self-appointed task.
Gkirkhan looks at Vera confused by her reaction before looking at himself.
"Hyu know, dis hain't de first time Hy've hugged a gurl like dis, dough dey didn' seem to mind too much," he chuckles, "vell, if ve're gun after goblins, Hy need to get dressed for de occasion. Noddink gets a goblin dancink like a big svord."
Turning to Shalelu, he blows her a kiss, "Und don' vorry huyr pretty head. Hy'll leaff a vew for hyu to chop up ven hyu're feelink betta."
With that, the tall, broad-shouldered half-orc slips back into his room, a minute later, he emerges fully-dressed and carrying a greatsword, a warhammer, and half-a-dozen daggers.
"Hokay, Hy'm ready!"

Giovanni smiles at Shalelu's response. "I believe you have a number of volunteers waiting in the hall for you. If you do set out in the morning, it would be appreciated to not be left behind." With that Giovanni bows politely to the both of them and sees himself out of the room.
Seeing that the gathered crowd has expanded with more new faces, Giovanni's eyes fall to the floor. His shoulders slump as the weight of his anxiety becomes palpable. He attempts to speak, but his words fail. His eyes snap shut, as his hand lifts grasping his neck. His fingers pulse on the back of his neck, trying to calm himself. After a moment, he attempts to find his voice again, speaking to the floor in a small voice. "Shalelu knows what tribe attacked her, and where to find them. She wants to go in the morning. Mrs. Koya does not want her to go.
I am Talin Vhiski of the Shakiiri-Quah clan. Does anyone know where we might find the Sheriff?
Gkirkhan thinks hard for a minute before giving everyone present a wide, toothy grin.
"Hy know! Hold dis, dis, und dese, und dis," he says as he hands Talin his sword, his hammer, his belt full of knives, and his thick, heavy leather jacket. Unencumbered by weapons or armor, he heads for the stairs popping his knuckles.
Talin collapses under the weight of the weapons. He struggles to extricate himself from the pile of metal.
Wait, I meant for us to go to him not for him to come to us!
"But hyu saeed hyu didn' know vere he vas. If he komes to us, ve know eksactly vere to find him!" Gkirkhan continues to head for the stairs.
Lem takes a moment to realize what's happening. "But I do know where the sheriff is. There's no need for this!
Talin continues to struggle under the arsenal he is currently under, trying to be careful he dislodges a couple of weapons and sits up, his legs still pinned.
Gkirkhan we will not be able to help Shalelu or GET TO KILL GOBLINS if the Sheriff locks you up for starting a fight!!
Gkirkhan stops in his tracks.
"Hyu mean tonight's not de veekly barfight night?" he turns around, looking very confused.
"Hyu guys do dat here, don' hyu," he adds, starting to go from confused to looking as if someone had told him his puppy had died.
No its going to catch up to Yuto and meet the Sheriff night.
Giovanni, turns down the hall and away from the obnoxious crowd as soon as his message is delivered. He goes out to the street, following after Yuto and Vera. He matches his stride with theirs clearly following, but making no effort to catch up with the two.
Giovanni reads the note and lets free a heavy sigh. He wordlessly turns leaving the rest of the group and returning home. He hopes to be in bed soon and return early not wanting Shalelu to leave him behind by setting out too early.
Vera reads the note to herself.
"Pixies Kitten? Is that another tavern? I don't think I've ever been there..." she asks the locals in the group, seemingly oblivious to any undertones in the name. "I know he said not to bother him...but isn't this the type of thing that the sheriff ought to know immediately? I'm sure this would be a worthy interruption of whatever he is doing..."
I cannot think of a greater emergency than a potential Goblin raid on the town. I overheard townsfolk talking about a previous Goblin raid that devastated the town. I suggest we find out what Pixies Kitten is and warn the Sheriff.
Lem shakes his head, "No, you wouldn't have been there. And I do not believe you want to go either. We will inform him in the morning. For now, let's make any plans we need to put into place."
"Hokay, here's de plen. Schtep vun! Find goblins! Schtep two! Swink sword und/or hemmer at goblins! Schtep tree! Keel de goblins," Gkirkhan tells the others, "Oh! Und vhere iz dis Pixie's Kitten und vhy vould de Sheriff go dere?"
Your plan has all the subtlety of a dire boar in rut. I would suggest a more careful approach, perhaps scouting ahead and determining numbers before fully escalating to all out war.
"Heh, Mamma sed de same tink vhen Hy vas growink op."
Vera looks a little confused with the whole situation. Not sure what exactly to say to the half-orc, she instead replies to Lem, "I really do believe the sheriff should know about this immediately...Does he have a second in command we could talk to?"
Yuto looks over at Gkirkhan and laughs. "Step four? Step five is profit, though." He lets out a soft laugh before turning to Vera. "The Pixie's Kitten is... A special place. Trust me, just stay clear. Let's head back to the Rusty Dragon, I'll see if we can't get you all checked into rooms and then I'm heading home and waking with the sun."
Lem looks down at his deflated belt pouch and clicks his tongue. "I had not originally intended to sleep inside the town's walls, but with the goblins, perhaps . . . " Lem trails off. After a moment, he looks up, "Let's go see if I can still get a room tonight."
Vera asks one last time, "So, there is no one in town we can inform of the goblin situation? The mayor? A deputy? Town guards? I don't know if this is a wait 'til morning piece of information..."
I would suggest stopping by the bridges into town and informing any Watchmen or Guards of the attack. Wisdom suggests however, that given the lack of additional sounds of battle or
looks around for any sign of large fires
large bright blazes, that the goblins have not continued their assault. Given there ability to see in the dark of night, it is unlikely that such an assault will occur this evening and we should indeed return to the inn and recover for the following day.
This should provide Shalelu some time to recover and hopefully Ameiko will be able to shed additional light on the subject.
Vera nods to Talin and replies, "That is true. However, I do think it would be best if the town guard was made aware, just in case. At the very least, I think I shall try and tell the guardds, like you suggested."
Saying little more, she begins to walk towards the nearest gate, until she can find town guards.
If you do not mind the company, allow me to join you. While I do not fear a current goblin attack, I would be remiss to not consider all possibilities.
Talin will turn to follow, or return to the Inn depending on Vera's response.
"Of course." Vera replies to Talin. "You probably have more information than me anyway, since you went to help Ameiko."
"Good evening gentlemen. I wanted to report an incident that happened a few hours ago. A woman named Shalelu arrived at the Rusty Dragon a few hours ago, quite bloodied from protecting her friend Ameiko from goblin attacks. While both woman are already receiving care, I thought it would be remiss to not report the possible goblin threat to the authorities." Vera catches her breath for a moment, before continuing, "I initially wished to tell the Sheriff. However, the locals I spoke to suggested that I not disrupt him while he is in some place called 'The Pixie's Kitten'. Would you be able to pass the information along or is there someone else I should inform? Several of us were discussing investigating the matter in the morning."
