"GAH GREZZAG, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO MOVE OUT OF THE WAY OF THE SWIRLY SWORDS!" Poshment shouts as the saw cuts into the Half-Orc and his own arm. He outlines Grezzag with both of his index fingers, granting him protection from further attacks.

Poshment pulls a scroll from his sleeve, unfurling it with a flick of his wrist. "Milani, grant us more of your favor!" he cries out, the scroll crumbling as the power stored within is released.

Vivianne deals Hellion a mighty blow. This is followed up by Alldur's acid and energy bolts. The Hellion Chassis seems to be noticeably weaker from this onslaught.

Zimdoz moves much closer to Hellion, behind Vivianne, and takes one shot at Hellion, powering it with his tanglefoot ordnance.

Zimdoz's shot goes right through hellion's chassis severing its consciousness and the robot falls apart.

There is no loot in the chamber.

"WE DID IIIIIIITTT!" Poshment screams, his little body quivering with intensity. Leaping on his nearest companion, he shakes them with joy before jumping onto the next one.

"WE'RE UNSTOPPABLE! YEEEEAAAAAH!" he cheers, now jumping on Hellion's shiny, metal corpse. THATAWAY!" he shouts, pointing back the way they came

Sorry GM, I misunderstood! I thought I had already gone when you asked for other PC actions. Searching for loot in all the ways we know how, then to any of the areas we haven't already? Looks like a deadend here to me. Who is damaged?

She breathes a sigh of relief as she sees Hellion fall, walking forward to the wreckage of the robot. Taking her sword, she hacks off a chunk of iron and stuffs it into her pack. She glances back at Poshment and laughs. "Calm down, we can celebrate when we get to an inn."

Zimdoz looks a bit tired and nods at Vivienne. ”Indeed. Let’s spend some time searching for a bit and see what we find. If this really was Hellion - he was certainly not easy but I wasn’t expecting him to go down so quickly. Alldur, could you look at his remains and try to figure out what’s going on?” Zimdoz searches Hellion’s lair and corpse for anything useful.

'I'll call that a successful test of that new spell! We got to see a full range of actions out of Hellion before he was defeated!' Alldur enthusiastically darts forward and begins crawling over and examining Hellion's chassis.

Know:Engi: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (17) + 15 = 32 checking for basic function and to see if the chassis is salvageable.


Alldur you think that the chassis is unsalvageable. It looks like it was specifically designed to house an artificial intelligence. It also looks as if there was an attempt to transfer the AI's sentience elsewhere, although this failed.

Looking amongst the wreckage you find a neurocam which plays automatically. It reveals that Hellion was interested in an android oracle called Casandalee whom Hellion regarded as something of a kindred spirit. He believed that Casandalee knew much of unity: its defences, its weaknesses and ways it could be combated. Casandalee fled Silver Mount after betraying Unity and took with her a neurocam. Much information could be on that device. Hellion's information confirmed Casandalee fled to the area by the town of Iadenveigh.

"Play it again, play it again!" Poshment cheers as the video ends. "I liked the part where the other one broke free!"

After dusting his clothes off, he kicks a rock. "So... about this inn? Iadenveigh probably isn't going to move anytime soon, BUT, now hear me out, I've heard the inn's around here are hit or miss, so I say we get to one of those first, yeah? Just like Vivianne said!"


You can find an inn. Redtooth joins you and tells you that all of Hellion's minions have fled Scrapwall.

Poshment can be found regaling as many people as he can about the routing of Hellion and his crew. As he becomes increasingly inebriated, the details get more and more convoluted until, finally, he curls up to sleep under one of the benches in a corner booth for a night's sleep.


The following day you head to Iadenveigh, a town which is approximately 140 miles west of the town of Torch. Iadenveigh is a large town, populated primarily by worshippers of Erastil. As you arrive the town guard suggest you talk to the hunter Redfang at the High Home, he is responsible for welcoming visitors.

"That's nice, point us in the right direction, but also to the best inn you've got! We'll need a place to sleep and get smashed, after all!" Poshment asks the guard happily. Once he gets his answer, he wanders off in the direction of the inn to book a room before wandering off in the direction of High Home.


The High Home is both a tavern and a community centre. You soon come face to face with Redfang who asks you what you are doing in the town.

"So, are like your fangs red, or how does this work?" Poshment asks as he gets inappropriately close to Redfang's face and tries to look at his teeth. "Oh, I know the line for this! Say 'aaaaahhhh!', but like for a lot longer than that."


"Hmmm yes. Well it has always been hard to extend trust to outlanders. We are a self-sufficient settlement-we have no real need for trade, and care take care of ourselves. It's the safest option, as I know you understand. It's difficult to tell who you can rely on, but there are two things you can do to earn the trust of the Deadeye Council. First, I would like some help in solving a problem with one of our more...colourful residents. Second, there's an issue with a possible traitor in our midst that outsiders would be particularly well suited to handle."

"But why do we need the Deadeye Council? Sounds like they sure need us! We can easily do all of that! No problem!" Poshment boats proudly, balled fists on his hips.


"Well, if you can help that would be incredible! Is that the same for all of you?"

Zimdoz looks weary after all the travel, this is the first time in his life that he’s really left areas he’s comfortable with. ”Um, yes. I’d be glad to help. So far we’ve tried to help everyone we’ve met, and it hasn’t all led to a fight. We may negotiate if that’s okay?” He’s pretty small and inconspicuous, so it’s hard to see how the hooded ratfolk is a threat to anyone, but his sharp, beady eyes betray this to some degree.

'I'd like to hear more about both jobs before we agree to anything. What's the story on this 'colorful resident'?'


"That's reasonable...

Firstly on the edge of town there is a farm owned by a man named Jevik. He has few friends. He often complains about monsters, mutants, bandits and metal men interfering with his farming, so much so that it's become something of a local joke. But his latest complaints seem more plausible if only because he was sober when he made them. I need someone to go and check it out, if only to put the Council's minds at rest.

The second is more of a problem. In some ways I'm glad you've come to Iadenveigh - people who have ran afoul of embedded agents of the Technic League. Iadenveigh has had its confrontations with the League, but they've largely left us alone of late, since we don't have anything of interest to them. Yet I have reason to believe a spy from the Technic League is somewhere in Iadenveigh- a fear that has only grown darker now that I've heard tales of similar problems in other towns throughout the Numerian Plains. Alas, I can do little, for I have no proof. If the townspeople got wind of this, they'd point fingers every which way and might end up punishing the suspicious rather than the guilty. I need to know if my fears are based in fact, and if so, I want the spy identified before I take any formal action. Will you help?"

"Farmer? No problem!" Poshment says confidently. At news of the Technic League, however, he begins to jump up and down. "The League? HERE?! If they are, we'll find them! I've got a nose for this sort of thing!" he claims, crouching down on all fours and sniffing the floor as he crawls around. Then he lifts his head. "Any leads for us?"
