Poshment Pamplemousse |
Artificial intelligence? Like man made smarts? This place is just full of bizarre oddities. "Where can we find your Lord Hellion?" Poshment asks, not really expecting useful information.
________
Is there anything else we want to try to get out of her before checking the rest of the place out and handing her over to the town leaders?
Poshment Pamplemousse |
"I suspect there are, but not many that can create a person..." Poshment responds. "Frankly, this is all quite beyond my expertise. If this Hellion can make people, he does sound like a god to me, but not one I am familiar with."
Grezzag |
Grezzag scratches the back of his head. "I dunno if it's that godlike, you'd think if a god could make a person, he could also just make power as well and wouldn't need to send someone to go fetch it."
Zimdoz |
”I don’t know much about this stuff, but it surprises me that the ratfolk of Scarwall would be involved in such affairs. They usually keep to themselves, but they were always a bit more insular than my family. That’s why we moved.”
Alldur Folmes |
'Sounds like we need to find this 'Casandalee' and convince it to stop 'Unity'.' Alldur says, more as a memory aide than for his companions benefit.
Zimdoz |
"Yes, that sounds reasonable." He nods at Alldur. "But little else of what she said makes sense. Perhaps with data to collect it could make sense."
Zimdoz gasps when she dies. "Oh no! Poor woman."
Vivianne de Tregan |
Vivianne moves to say something and starts as Meyandalee cries out. She moves forward and starts checking for signs of life, before eventually sighing and hanging her head. She'll pull her holy symbol from her side and mutter an inaudible prayer into it before straightening herself out. "Let's finish what we have to do in here... Once we're done, I wish to bury give her a proper burial."
Grezzag |
Grezzag starts as the android falls.
"Uhh.. did she just get smote? Ok, that's kinda godlike, I s'pose. But if it was this Hellion that did it, must've been because she said too much, which means he knows what she said, which means he'll know we're coming."
Poshment Pamplemousse |
"We're coming? And what precisely do you mean by that?" Poshment asks. "If this Unity is so great, I'm sure it can handle the other one!" he says nervously. If this Hellion can kill her just like that from Scarwall, what's going to happen to us if we start poking our nose in its business?
"I say we clear the rest of this place and go enjoy being the saviors of Torch for a bit. Why don't we talk about challenging this AI thing later?" Maybe after we've all come to our senses...
Poshment Pamplemousse |
"Shall we then?" Poshment asks his companions, motioning towards the exit.
________
Leveled up! Once we get back to town and right before we rest, I will make sure everyone is fully healed.
Zimdoz |
"Yes, let's head back. We should try to turn off the lights and seal this place up on the way out. Maybe then people won't meddle with the torch again." Zimdoz is ready to go.
Will itemize the new things onto the sheet tomorrow, but my alias is updated!
Alldur Folmes |
'I would prefer if at least we could get back in here. There's so much more I'd like to spend time with. But I agree, maybe for now it's best we bring our findings back to the town.'
Poshment Pamplemousse |
"I doubt too many will be able to get down here after we take that card thing with us!" Poshment points out, eager to back to some sort of civilization after all of this.
Poshment Pamplemousse |
"Why certainly!" Poshment responds, gladly accepting the honor of being flagbearer, even if just for a moment.

According to the forums James Jacobs has said this:
Silverdisks are depleted batteries that are worth 10 gp and are used as currency in Numeria, but have no other use.
You head back to town and are thanked by the Town Council for returning Khonnir and for restoring the Torch. As promised they pay you the reward of 4000gp.
Poshment Pamplemousse |
Once their reward has been received, Poshment goes out of his way to spread the story of what they had done among the locals. Time to build up that renown! Can't be a hero if nobody knows who you are, after all.
Poshment Pamplemousse |
Having lived the high life for a couple of hours now thanks to the free drinks offered by the citizens of Torch, Poshment pulls up a chair next to Vivianne. His face quite red, it is clear he is more than a few drinks in. "SO!" he starts, doing his best to compose himself. "What... um, what do we want next? That AI hoo-haa sounds like... um like it'll continue to agitate... the... uh... Scarwall?"
Alldur Folmes |
Alldur also avails himself of the townsfolk's hospitality. Spying the gnome making for Vivianne's table, the Wizard weaves his way purposely to intercept. 'Anything that, er... leads to the discovery of more of that 'treknology'. I think I'm beginning to understand the way it's put together. Stuff's really interesting' He leans heavily against the table for support as he speaks.
Zimdoz |
Zimdoz will help Vivianne out, as much as he can. He doesn't know much about the religious things, but he hates when people are hurt.
He returns to the tavern, and sighs. "So, what have we learned? Khonnir is still hurt - is there any way that we know to cure him now? Did we pick up that skill during the exploration?" He drinks a small amount of alcohol, then packs a few vials in his bandolier for experimentation, and then fussily begins to itemize and clean all of his gear.
"Go on, Alldur, you'll know better than I will."
Grezzag |
Grezzag joins the table.
"Reckon we should track down this Hellion. A doomsday weapon generally means no good news for anyone, and it'll be easier to smash it before it's powered up. An' if Hellion wants to get power from here, it might send more people next time, and they might not try being sneaky again."
"Any of you know anything about this Scrapwall or Scarwall?"
Vivianne de Tregan |
Vivianne offers a nod of her head, and then a shake of her head. A sigh escapes and she rubs her neck. "I'm afraid of no help for information, I know next to nothing about Numeria. It's incredibly different from Galt. If you all want, I could a look at this Khonnir? I'm a decent healer, and I can probably find a kit in town.
Daniel Penfold 357 |
Vivianne, you head over to the temple. Khonnir's condition is stable, however you quickly realise that remove disease is needed to heal him. It looks as if the wounds are infected with small metallic creatures. You wonder if one of the devices you got from Meyanda might help, possibly the vitality serum
Poshment Pamplemousse |
"Galt, you said?" Poshment asks, surprised to be in the presence of a compatriot. "So uh, so am I!" he admits. "In the... In the morning, I can help Khonnir. I'll, you know, uh... I'll pray for the aid from Milani!"
"My good, green, fellow! I too know little about Numeria. The morning... After I visit Khonnir... With V.... I'll ask about town. We are, uh, quite popular!" he explains slowly before dosing off on the wooden table.
Alldur Folmes |
Before retiring to his room, Alldur ensure's that they come get him before they leave. After a brief shopping trip, Alldur returns to his room and begins attempting to instill a few interesting metal scarps he'd found down below with magic energy.
Going to spend as much time as I can before we need to move on cranking out wands. Looks like I can't fail the crafting check so that makes things easier.

There are no caravans travelling to Scrapwall at present, however you could travel by boat some of the way.
Khonnir suggests that on the way to Scrapwall you head to a small fort on the west bank of the Sellen River called Aldronard's Grave which is directly opposite Scrapwall. The fortress is often unoccupied, however if there are any crusaders or worshippers of Sarenrae there when you get there they may have some more information about the current situation in Scrapwall.
