White as a sheet and clearly in shock Silas stammers, "Gods. I thought we where dead! But it just sorta keeled over before I could do anything." He looks around wide eyed before muttering, "Ugh that's my blood, ahh it hurts."

He takes a moment to compose himself before getting the wand out. The party's wounds are many and serious so it takes repeated applications and the wand grows hotter and hotter before crumbling into dust with a flash of radiance!

Silas examines the elixir, sniffs and screws his face up and in a rage he smashes the vials against the wall. Through gritted teeth he mutters, "Ugh! Disgusting. Made with the filthy essence of some master undead that wished to cow it's herd."

He stomps around the room for a bit and soon calms down. When Jaxom talks about the strange room with the evil presence Silas nods, "I think so. We had better assume the worst about that room and whatever lies beyond the door. I've been saving a few supplies..."

When the party get close to the room, but before they enter, Silas produces a scroll case and tells the party, "A while back I bought a few scrolls of Death Ward and Daylight and one of Bless Weapon. The Death Ward will last a bit under ten minutes. Should we use them now or after we find out where that door goes?"

The passage empties into an octagonal chamber. Vaulted crawlspaces sealed with iron bars are in the northwest,northeast, southwest, and southeast corners. In the center of the room stands another statue of a priest, dressed in formal robes with his head bowed. A set of double doors exit from the southernmost side.

No one sees anything in the Room, but there are still Evil Auras inside the walls.

Only Gilmork is inside the room correct? Or is Silas also inside the room?

This is a more potent version of a common Shadow. A shadow is an undead that skirts the border between the gloom of darkness and the harsh truth of light. The shadow prefers to haunt ruins where civilization has moved on, where it hunts living creatures foolish enough to stumble into its territory. When the Shadow crept out of the darkened corners, Silas yelped "Aiiei not another one of these!" A moment later, he rather bashfully adds, "Ahh Ahhem! I meant to say, pah what a pitiful minion of hell! Never fear, we shall beat it with our superior numbers!" Suddenly six Silases stalk forwards to confront the undead menace!

Of course what the rest of the party couldn't see what that rictus grin and he almost robotically moved to face his doom, thinking 'What am I doing?! What am I doing?! Why am I not running a way, this is stupid I should be running away not trying to poke a shadow with a sword...'

If you go down the stairs...
Stairs bisect a bell-shaped foyer that opens into a broad rectangular chamber with wickedly spiked walls. The rectangular section recesses into the floor almost five feet below the foyer, creating a tiered section of ledges adorned with rows of statues. In the center of the room, a three-foot-tall iron furnace stands atop a marble dais belching out gouts of toxic-looking smoke. A moat filled with a curious bubbling liquid surrounds the smoky brazier.
