Yakopulio replies, "I said I don't know anything about the details. Some guy at my bar I work at told me that the mayor is looking to do a new play that hasn't been done in a long time. Jimmy said he saw a director and and that famous actor Thesling Umbero Ulvaud at the mayor's place this morning. I just assumed the two were related. I don't know about that stuff. Sheesh. I serve drinks and listen to people. I hear lots of things that go on in this city as a bartender. You'd be amazed at what people tell me."
As you might have guessed, Yakopulio's main talent is local knowledge and recent rumors.
Council Chairman
|
So, what do you want to do?
| Jimmy Bodrick |
Jimmy sits down and places his head into his arms. He speaks with a soft voice: "Jimmy's never been in a play without Moshley... Jimmy's not sure if he can do it without Moshley..."
I'd prefer to first bring full closure to the things that happened in book 1's adventure: sell/buy stuff, retrieve and bury Moshley. I don't think this has to take a lot of time? Perhaps a day, which would also be enough to completely heal up with Ezren's and Jimmy's spells.
Storywise I'd like to remind you that Moshley's still wearing the kNight's Bane outfit, and people who find him may tie this to Jimmy: they're known for performing together.
Council Chairman
|
Yes, this is the "downtime" to do whatever you want. I'd like to get that stuff done over this weekend, but it seems it is taking a bit longer than I expected. If you want to do it, then go do it. I asked what you wanted to do, so please go do it.
| Jimmy Bodrick |
Abruptly standing up, Jimmy moves to the safe house's exit. "Jimmy goes back to Moshley now. Jimmy thinks anyone who wants to join should come now."
Before actually leaving Jimmy casts a few healing spells on himself, preventing the wounds from yesterday's battle open up.
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
CLW: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Jimmy then exits the safe house and moves toward the market, the voices in his head telling Jimmy he should first deal with the minor distractions. Once everything Jimmy wants to buy is bought, and everything he wants to sell is sold, Jimmy moves toward the place where the party left moshley's corpse.
Does anyone else need healing too?
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain joins Jimmy in lugging, selling, and buying of stuff. He purchases a few more arrows, spreading his money around to different vendors as so he can't be tracked to one fletcher.
He is still in a daze from yesterday's assault, he feels quite jumpy and uncertain as he goes...as if he has changed.
"You getting all you need, Jimmy? I'm buying a few things, but saving my money for other stuff. It will be good to have that wand about the safehouse in case someone needs it."
Council Chairman
|
It's a long walk all the way back up there, but there are no real roadblocks anymore. You arrive about 1.5 hours later to the place where Moshley died. You see that his body is mostly stripped of anything useful. The (k)Night's bane clock actually hangs from the door, almost as a symbol or flag. You notice that tieflings are moving about in Rego Cader more freely now.
I really have no idea how or where you bury a body or burn it, or drop it in the sea. Up to you.
Council Chairman
|
Areil will channel healing to get everyone to full health.
| Jimmy Bodrick |
"Jimmy got everything," Jimmy replies to Tristain, not saying much else while walking.
Once the yarrive at the place where Moshley died Jimmy notices the kNight's Bane symbol. He takes it and stows it in one of his pockets. Jimmy then enters the building and sees Moshley's stripped body.
Mother: My boy! Oh no, Moshley... My... my child!
Jimmy wraps Moshley's body up in an old cloak he brought from the safe house while tears well up in his eyes again, refusing help if offered any. He picks Moshley's body up, and slowly walks to the exit of the building. "Jimmy's... and Moshley's parents... are buried just outside of W-W-Westcrown.... Jimmy wants... w-wants to... wants to bury Moshley next... to them..."
@GM: Please read my PM.
Corey Evander
|
Corey will visit a few alchemists to purchase some curatives and other sundry potions...to be used in his "art" of course.
Also he will purchase an upgrade in wardrobe to include noble style clothing along with the ring and jewelry to belong.
***
During the rest of the week he will spend his time learning what he can about this upcoming Play as well as hobnobbing in the theater circles.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain is somber as helps Jimmy with Moshley's body.
This is not something he should have to go through alone. This is a pain best shared.
"There you go, Jimmy, let me...help...oof...yeah, but the cloak around Moshley's...yes, I think Moshley would like that...and let's not forget the...there you go."
Tis a sacrifice for a greater good. I hope.
"Yeah, let's go take care of his body."
Tristain will continue to help Jimmy with the body.

If you look at the city map, there is a theater in the mainland called the Limehouse Theater (#35). This theater had burned down about 15 years ago, but has been restored thanks to the funding of the current mayor (who as I mentioned is a HUGE fan of the theater). The theater used to be owned by former gnome actors. They had a son who was an actor and they said they adopted a human boy as well. You don't know where they are now, but it is said that the human boy they adopted was cursed somehow. If you were to "learn about this play", that would be the place to go. Should you decide to go there, please post in gameplay your intention to go there and it will require some brief role playing.
| Ezren Geitus |
At the safehouse
Listening to Yakopulio very closely. "That sounds like are way in...much better then trying to hack our way in. I am not much of an actor but I can fake it for a while."
Shopping
Ezren will follow the group to get Moshley's body then he will find the ingredients for his Holy water and scrolls.

Yaopulio looks at you strangely. "You're a priest, right? Those are the best actors around. You don't really believe in that holy stuff, do you? So, the best actors around are the priests if you ask me." She waves and says if she hears anything else at the bar, she'll let you know. Now that the city is getting back to normal, she's hoping it results in lots of drinking and tips.
Council Chairman
|
Since you aren't roleplaying the announcement to others, as that seemed to be a statement, you'll go alone.
You head off to the rebuilt Limehouse Theater by yourself and outside you see a sign for auditions for an upcoming play. Inside the Limehouse Theater, which has been painted a soft green color to denote its name, you find Robhal Nonon there talking with a a shaggy old man. Robhal says, "Your a worthless old man Millech, this will never do! Are you able to comprehend what I'm trying to say in that dull brain of yours, or am I wasting my time? Should I just be talking to your hump instead? I said, very clearly, NO SIGNS! This is the most important play I've ever directed, and I will not have any hack off the street ruin it."
"But sir," the old man replies, "I've sent letters to everyone you've asked. They all refuse!"
"It's your fault they refuse! You must not have explained that I'm directing it on behalf of the Lord Mayor...Hello, what are you doing here?" He looks at you as does Millech.
What do you do? Robhal can be found in the NPC listing on the campaign info tab.
| Jimmy Bodrick |
Carrying Moshley's body, eventually letting Tristain help, Jimmy walks to the city's gates. Once there a guard stops Jimmy when recognizing him, but the guard quickly realizes something's off. It takes Jimmy some time to explain that Moshley fell off the stairs and broke his neck, crying while he tells the story.
When the guard asks Jimmy where he's bringing Moshley's body, Jimmy explains about his parents' family grave: "J-Jimmy's mother and father... are outisde of town... *sob* Jimmy wants to bury Moshley next to them... *sob* in the family grave..."
The guard lets the men carrying Moshley's body out of the gate, and Jimmy proceeds walking to the Bodrick family grave. At the grave, which is at the edge of a large cemetery, Jimmy and those with him are greeted by a priest. "What happened?" the priest ask as he approaches with a worried expression, and Jimmy once more explains that Moshley fell off the stairs and broke his neck.
Jimmy and those who came with him follow the priest into a small shrine, which appears to be devoted to no particular god or goddess. A few years prior to their deaths, Jimmy's parents had paid the shrine in order to make funeral arrangements for themselves and their kids. Moshley is taken to the back of the shrine, where the few bloody clothes he was still wearing are exchanged for a clean set of clothes.
After Moshley is made presentable and placed in a coffin, the priest brings the coffin to the front of the shrine and opens it. A short and sober ceremony is held during which Jimmy starts crying. Some of the voices in his head, including that of his mother, join him in his pain.
At the end of the ceremony Jimmy steps up, and in between his sobs and tears Jimmy says farewell to his big brother: "Jimmy misses Moshley... Ji... Jimmy's very sad now... Jimmy wants you to be back..."
Mother: Jimmy... *sob* You should rest...
Jimmy: Jimmy wants to know... why are you here, mother? Jimmy doesn't get where Moshley and father are... they're not here...
Mother: Moshley passed away, dear... Your father... Your father's still there... At the theater...
A chill goes through Jimmy's spine when he hears his mother's words. "Jimmy... doesn't get it..."
Mother: He's trapped, Jimmy... Your father's trapped there, he can't leave yet... We were practicing a play, it hadn't been played for years... Something went wrong while practicing, and your father's been... unable to find rest...
Time passes while Jimmy's simple mind processes the loss of his brother, and what his mother just told him. Slowly, Jimmy realizes he may be the only person who can help his father. "Jimmy has to go to the theater..."
Council Chairman
|
You cannot go to the theater today, as it takes you a long time to get up to get up to the northern part of the city from where the shrine is, then to go bury him, you'll barely have enough time to get back before dark.
You'll have to go tomorrow. Do you wish to go by yourself or with others? If you wish to go by yourself, just send me a PM. If you want to go with others, you'll have to roleplay that.
Corey Evander
|
Dressed in his fine clothes and decked out with his bling, I'm Corey Evander and I'm here to help make your play a resounding success. I hear you already have that lout Thesling cast, so I figured I'd lend you my talent since you obviously need a good looking male lead who won't spook any horses.
Council Chairman
|
Robal is briefly speechless as you called Thesling a lout. "This play is too important to risk on newcomers like yourself with the acting talent of a trained seal. I need professionals! We are NOT going to have open auditions!"
Millech squirms at Robal's insistence of no auditions. "But, sir, the play opens in one week. All the actors you sent letters to have refused. What are you going to do then?"
"Nevermind you idiot. I'm the one with brains here. What's your name boy? I've never seen you act." Robal begins to pace, rubbing his forehead in stressful agony. He begins to pull on his thinning hair and says, "The play starts in seven days, so come back here in six days. If I have a part still open, you might be able to help. I'm sure it won't be a speaking part, since you'll almost assuredly ruin the lines. But, you'll have the pleasure of working with the greatest director in Cheliax. You won't be invited to the Mayor's after-party though, so don't get your hopes up. Only actors with significant speaking lines get invited to the Mayor's parties."
He motions for you to leave as he yells for an inkpen and paper.
Council Chairman
|
As the day passes, you all regather at the the Shrine to look at the new stuff you have purchased, acquired, sold, and hand out new items. This means all discussions/role play that you have done so far during the downtime have passed just to speed things along.
The Shrine of Aroden is mostly empty. You have some time to interact with one another. There will be several more days (of game time) of downtime remaining. In real life time, I'd like to finish downtime roleplay today/tomorrow. Thus, you may post lengthy and multiple actions in a single post if you like.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain looks over the purchases, somewhat expecting a horde of Hellknights to burst into the safehouse at any moment.
"I'm sure glad to have this wand. What is our next move? Say...Ariel...the nightlings had ways to make it really dark upon command. Do you have anything that help us with that? Maybe something to cancel out their darkness with light?"
A continual flame rock would be swell. A heightened continual flame on a rock would be sweller.
Tristain looks around for the Jersey meatheads, looking to spar and practice. If they are around, the will look to swordfight. If they aren't around, he'll try to get Corey to duel.
"Corey, what do you think of this plan we're hatching?"
| Jimmy Bodrick |
Jimmy decides he needs rest first, and will visit the Limehouse Theater the next day. He follows the others to the safe house, where he shows them wand of cure light wounds and hands it over to Ezren. "Jimmy think Ezren should take it, because Ezren's very good at healing wounded people."
Council Chairman
|
Ariel will tell you that he's only a lowly servant of Iomedea and cannot conjure up divine actions that complicated. However, he can try to brew potions for you over time at a reduced cost. It will take time. So, if you tell him what you want now, he can make it for your next level.
Admittedly this is rather pointless since you have the CLW wand, but if you want a low level potion (spell level 2 max) for level 4, he can make it for you at half price.
Corey Evander
|
Corey will step back and bow. Then I will see you in a few days, since so few talented actors will want to sully their reputations by being on stage with him, even for the chance to be directed by the most talented director in Cheliax, perhaps even Golarion itself. Diplomacy 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (18) + 7 = 25
Corey will turn to leave but as he goes he will say one parting remark. A shame you haven't got any of the Phandros in your play...
Outside Corey will wait for the hunchback to come out. Excuse me good sir! Might I have a few words with you? Would you care to join me for the mid day meal?
Diplomacy with the Hunchback. 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Domino - HoW
|
Domino will happily try to duel with Tristain, though it is obvious that his combat technique is not efficient, as if he was trained more for the show of it.
Combat Round 1.
Standard Action - Feint (Bluff) 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (1) + 13 = 14
Feint: You can use Bluff to feint in combat, causing your opponent to be denied his Dexterity bonus to his AC against your next attack. The DC of this check is equal to 10 + your opponent's base attack bonus + your opponent's Wisdom modifier. If your opponent is trained in Sense Motive, the DC is instead equal to 10 + your opponent's Sense Motive bonus, if higher. For more information on feinting in combat, see Combat.
Combat Round 2.
Standard Action - Attack with Short Sword 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

Chatting and comparing purchases with Tristain at the safe house.
Yes some light, especially hands free would be helpful...thats why I bought this Ioun Torch (Continual Flame Wiz lvl 2)
You were curious as to my earlier request, back when you first took notice of me...about the acid. Since we are in this all together and after what we have done, technically dead men, I must share my secret with someone. I am a Scion of House Phandros, my great-uncle Marcus is the head of our noble family. Why he saved my life I doubt I'll ever know, but I am a shame to them because of my mother's crime. Sometimes after performances, my true identity has been discovered and the family gains a little more fame and prestige...simply by my actions. I swear that the good we do here, will have no benefit for the family that provides none for me...THAT is why I want my features destroyed.
Other useful things I purchased...alchemist fire, some more acid, holy water, potions of healing, one as a restorative potion as well.

Talking about the plan
So do we really have much of a plan yet, really? Beyond lets get into the mayors house, snoop around until we find this vault, get into it, get out with what we want and THEN still get out of the mayors house? Not too much of a plan...need a little bit more of a how to do that...
Council Chairman
|
You do speak with Millech, who reminds you that's his name, doesn't want your money. He tells you that nobody Robhal is trying to get will do the play, as it's too dangerous. "Da Six Trials of Larazod was banned for good reason, after all. Killed all the good actors. Nobody dumb enough to actually try it." He suggests if you want to stay alive, don't come back as the play is certain suicide. With that he bids you goodbye.
Corey Evander
|
Back at the safe house with everyone Corey will relate what occurred on his visit to the Limehouse.
So in just a few days time, we can go there and hopefully ply our "trade" and get in as some kind of acting troupe...so perhaps we'd better get some practice in together in the mean time...
Working to help instruct in the basics of theater and acting, generating some kind of routine with folks. GM what kind of check(s) may you like?
Council Chairman
|
No checks for now. That will happen later. As for what the play is, all you can figure out is that is was banned a few hundred years ago for being too dangerous. There are no copies of the script as they were destroyed to prevent a performance. So, where did they get a copy? Hmmmm.
Council Chairman
|
If Will Smith and Marky Mark can do it...
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain, knowing the ways of humans all too well, does not fall for Domino's feint, instead using the rouse to mount his own attack.
1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (19) + 6 - 4 = 21 to hit; (nonlethal)
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8 damage. (nonlethal)
Tristain practices with his scythe, no blade extended lest...uh...premature death happen.
Tristain dances a bit after his strike, hitting Domino solidly.
When Domino's next blow connects, Tristain tries again.
1d20 + 6 - 4 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 4 = 5 to hit; (nonlethal)
1d6 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7 damage. (nonlethal)
"Yeah, I'm still getting used to this, Domino. I've never been much of a fighter. Too many toughs in this town...and everything is stacked against you."
Council Chairman

When you visit the theater, there are no signs or indications that a play is to be performed there anytime soon. Rohbal and some hunchback old man are in the theater. They tell you to go away, yhat they are awaiting responses from real actors, not local hacks.
As expected he is incredibly rude to you. If you inquire further he just insults you. The old man recommends you come the day before the play as the director will be more receptive to you.
| Jimmy Bodrick |
When he's told to leave the theater Jimmy hesitates, but the hesitation stops when the old man recommends Jimmy to come back later. Jimmy nods, and heads back to the safe house.
"Jimmy didn't catch what the play's name was?" Jimmy says with a questioning look, staring at Corey with wide open eyes when Corey shares what he discussed.
Jimmy did hear it... Jimmy remembers that title... Jimmy's mother and father were talking about it when Jimmy was young, and they still lived...

09:00 / Thursday (following week)
Essentially a week goes by, and as you have been told by Millech, you return to the Limehouse Theater the day before the play's opening. Corey also remindes you that he learned that the only people who can get access to the mayor's after party have to be actors with major speaking roles, so looking to do something other than performing in the play isn't really an option.
When you reach the theater painted in a light green hue, you notice that there are no signs announcing the play. In fact, other than some sounds coming from inside, you'd think it was abandoned. The yellow-green doors are unlocked and you walk inside.
This theater seats about only 60 people and the stage is relatively small, perhaps only 10' deep and 20' wide. Sitting in the theater about 5 rows from the back is Robahl Nonon, the famous director of Cheliax. On stage you see Thesling Umbero Ulvaud, the best actor in Westcrown. Along side him are two women, a fat lady with lots of jewelry and a women Jimmy recognizes as Calseinica Nymmis, who befriended him a while ago.
The three actors are standing on the stage with some people reading (poorly) some lines from written parchment sheets. The old fat woman says, "Really Robahl, this is just unacceptable. Someone of my talent working with these, these, ordinary people! It's just, unacceptable! They are ordinary people!"
"What the heck do you want me to do? I've written every decent actor in Cheliax and none of them are showing up. So shut your fat mouth and start acting rather than performing like a wet sweating seal. This play is going to get us all killed if we don't do it!" Robahl is also sweating, although it isn't from the heat in the theater.
"Oh look, it's the wanna be's. Hey Robahl..."
Robahl cuts him off and quickly says, "Stop calling me by my first name, Thesling!
"Hey Mr. Nonon, it's the amatures who work on the streets here in Westcrown. You should give them the roles. I'm sure they'll do great! I'm sure they would do a fine job! Please, give them a chance!" Thesling smiles in a very sinister way.
Calseinica says, "Oh, I saw the tall one perform not too long ago, he and his gnome friend did a very, well, old-fashioned performance. Don't you remember Mr. Nonon?"
"Yes, yes, I remember that terrible display. Boring as ever. No action, no spunk. Nothing anyone else couldn't do. Can any of you read lines? It's the most basic function of performing in a play."
Does anyone accept his offer to read some lines? Obviously you can do whatever you want as well. If you decide to read lines, feel free to roll your acting skill. Anyone can do this, not just Corey/Jimmy.
Council Chairman
|
Thesling, being the best actor in Westcrown, doesn't need papers to read from. However, he does hand you the papers from one of the "ordinary" people reading on stage.
When you finish, Thesling says, "Wonderful! You should be in the play. Robahl..."
"Stop using my first name! It's Mr. Nonon. He was terrible. The most monotone, uninspired yapping I've heard. Still, he's better than that other dolt. Millech! Get rid of him."
"Mr. Nonon, I'm backstage, I can't do it!"
The man who was reading papers looks left and right on how to get off the stage. As he's looking around, the fat lady pulls out a dagger and stabs him in the back. "You're done! We've got a replacement!" She giggles as the man slumps to the floor of the stage.
"Millech! Clean up the stage!" Millech comes from backstage and puts the body in a wheelbarrow, which already has another body in it. He gives Corey a strange look as he puts the next body in it and wheels it offstage. As he goes by, Thesling kicks Millech in the butt. Calseinica just turns her head and tries not to look at the blood.
Robahl ignores what goes on and turns to the three of you not on the stage. "So, I have a few more openings. The other people didn't work out, as you can see. Our performance is tomorrow."
Calseinica says, "Mr. Nonon, I'm sure they will work out. We should not have anymore auditions. There's been enough bloodshed this morning."
"Don't tell me what to do, newcomer! I'm the director."
"Yes sir, I just meant, if we continue with auditions, they won't have enough time to be directed by you to turn them into something special." Robahl nods his head, apparently agreeing that his amazing directing skills could be the key.
"Yes, you are right for once. The four of you will do exactly as I say. If you listen to me, I can turn even the worst actor into something respectable. There are four speaking parts that are currently unfilled."
"Robahl, I mean, Mr. Nonon.."
"Shut up Thesling! You idiot. It's your fault nobody wants to work on this play." Robahl turns back to you. "As I was saying, there are four parts to the play. We are going to perform The Six Trials of Larazod. I've only got summary scripts right now, our patron who is funding this production will provide the full script right before the play. It's under lock and key as it is the only surviving copy known to exist. Not that it matters, you all are bumbling idiots so it won't make a difference if you practice or not."
Thesling jumps down from the stage and puts his arm around Jimmy. "So, Robahl, I have some suggestions! Give this guy here the role of Drovalid and that monotone fellow on the stage the role of Larazod!" Thesling sort of hugs you tightly as he recommends your role.
"Hmmm, okay, Thesling." The fat lady on the stage looking at the blood getting cleaned up points her dagger at Ezren and says, "Well, he looks like a holy man, make him play Tybain and I guess that other raggedy fellow can play Dentris."
"Fine! Fine! Whatever. It doesn't matter, this play is doomed. I have to go speak with our patron to get the script and make sure the theater is getting ready. Why don't the four of you get to know your fellow actors while I'm gone. We perform tomorrow afternoon at the Nightshade Theater." Robahl walks out of the Limehouse Theater to go see his contact. Thesling gives Jimmy another hug. Millech finally finishes cleaning the stage floor. Calseinica comes down from the stage to greet you.
Feel free to interact with your fellow actors. The stage hand isn't that interested in talking as he has a few failed auditions to deal with. The Westcrown City map has been updated to show #17 is the Nightshade Theater, located on the island. None of you have been to the island before (which is where the nobles of Westcrown live), so you are unfamiliar with that region and theater. You do know it's supposedly the fanciest theater in Cheliax.
| Tristain the Chalker |
Tristain takes the script from Corey, briefly glancing over the words before ascending to the stage.
"You want me to start now?" Tristain looks at his feet as if the might no longer be pointed forward. "Should I read?"
Tristain reads, trying to make the best of it.
1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12 Charisma check...
Tristain feels himself rushing some parts, jumbling over other words, missing inflections on others. Still, he's pretty happy with his performance. If it could be called such. He looks to see what the director thinks.
Council Chairman
|
Thesling tries not to laugh. As mentioned, the director Robahl Nonon has left the theater.
| Ezren Geitus |
Ezren clinches his fist as the fat woman stabs the man in the back. ... she will get hers soon ... these people have no regard for human life ...
Trying to keep his cool Ezren stands in the corner away from the other actors. ... check your anger ... we mush do this to save the city form a much worst affliction ...
Council Chairman
|
Calseinica sees Ezren in the corner and comes over to him. "What's the matter? Don't like your role? You get to play the honorable Paladin Tybain. He's my favorite character. So noble, so true. Aren't you excited?"
The fat lady walks up to Tristain and shows him her bloody dagger. "You know, cute fella, I'm a big star around here. Are you a big star? I would see my name written in large letters, 'Delour Aulamaxa to perform tonight' and men would just flock to me. That was probably 15 years ago. I normally get a huge cut of the revenue, so don't expect much in terms of pay."
Thesling says to Jimmy and Corey, "I'm so excited you guys are in the play! This is great! It really, really made my day that you're in it. So, when you're both dead, do you mind if I start going out with those women you hang out with?"
| Tristain the Chalker |
As mentioned, the director Robahl Nonon has left the theater.
Tristain grimaces, not wanting to believe the director would leave in the middle of his 'performance'.
Oh well. Maybe I can work the sets or the lights or something.
Tristain kicks the air next to him, angry at his performance.
"I didn't want to be a stupid actor anyway."
Noticing Millech will the cart (and clearly part of stage productions), Tristain will approach him.
"You need help with that cart? I can lift a bit if you need it, Millech."
| Jimmy Bodrick |
Mother: This place... it's changed so much...
Jimmy quietly follows the others inside the theater and watches Corey perform. When the fat woman stabs the actor who's being replaced by Corey, Jimmy clenches his fists.
Tea drinker: Dear heavens!
As Thesling recommends Jimmy and the others get a role, Jimmy expects the fat woman to stab the other actors who've been replaced as well. All seems fine, until Thesling hugs Jimmy.
Mother: The ass-man's touching my baby boy!
"Don't touch me," a voice that should sound familiar to Thesling whispers, using Jimmy mouth. One of Jimmy's clenched fists is about to go up, when his mannerism changes again.
Tea drinker: I'm not letting you ruin this... You did enough damage last time...
Violent guy: ...
"Well chap," the tea drinker says as he takes over Jimmy's body, pronouncing the words slowly as if talking to someone dumb, "I would appreciate it if you'd stop touching me. I am aware of your affection involving the behind of wo... men... but I'd rather not have you hold me this bloody tight."
The tea drinker subtly frees Jimmy from Thesling's hold and walks Jimmy over to Corey.
Tea drinker: Come on, chap. You can do this!
Jimmy regains full control over his body on the exact same moment his hands grab hold of the papers. His eyes scan the text, and he returns the papers to Corey. "Jimmy can do this!"
Perform (Act): 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Without needing the papers with the simplified version of the script, Jimmy easily acts out the part he just read.
Council Chairman

Delour Aulamaxa is a bit annoyed that Tristain is ignoring her approach. Millech gives Tristain a strange look. "Actors always being rude. Not sure what game you play, leave me alone. You'll be in my wheelbarrow soon enough I think." Mellech pushes you away in a kind manner and tries to go about his business of dumping several bodies into a garbage unit out back.
---------------------------------------------------------
Calseinica replies to Ezren, "I do know that he's supposed to be the comic relief of the play. Unfortunately...." she takes a very long pause, wondering how to phrase the next part of the sentence, "Well, Robahl says that usually he's the first one to, um, finish the play. However, the longer you can keep playing Tybain, the better the play usually is." She tries to smile, but her acting ability is pushed to the limit. "You'll be fine I'm sure. I don't have any formal acting training either. I've only got a minor role, I play Illsandra. I only got the role because of Delour Aulamaxa. She thinks this will help my career."

Thesling says, "Well, I'm just practicing holding you tight like I'll hold your women tight after the performance. You know, I usually invite a special woman to go with me to the after-party at the mayor's residence. Those parties can last a few days. I expect the after-party of this play to go on for quite a while." He watches Jimmy's performance and says, "Better than I expected, but still not half my skill. Maybe you'll all do better when they perform the ritual acting rite prior to the performance. You will see real skill when I perform the star role of Haanderthan." Turning to Corey he says, "Not sure how long you're going to last playing Larazod with this brute fellow playing Drovalid the torturer. He looks like he can bring the torture. But don't worry....that makes the acting easier when you scream in pain."
Jimmy, don't forget your bonus for being in the presence of Calseinica.

During the day, you will be fitted with your outfits. Ironically, the outfits are only basic adjustments to your existing armor. You're told that the Six Trials of Larazod is an adventurous play, so you'll be wearing what you normally would wear in an adventure with only some minor adjustments to add flair for the people in the back rows to see clearly.
Rohbal Nonon does not return for the rest of the day, so you really don't have a script. You have basic information about the roles:
Haanderthan - played by Thesling, is the star role and an accuser.
Chorus/Narrator - played by Visbaronetess Delour Aulama (the fat lady), who introduces each act [a relatively minor role, ironically].
Illsandra - played by Calseinica Nymmis, who has assurances from Delour Aulama that the lethality regarding her role as Illsandra have been greatly exaggerated and Delour has promised a priest in the audience to help her if needed.
Larazod - played by Corey, is the 'second' leading role and is the accused who must face trials.
Dentris - played by Tristain, a sharp-tongued wizard who has a knack for biting insults and a quick wit, and who acts almost as a father figure to Larazod.
Tybian - played by Ezren, is the comic relief of the play, a bumbling paladin whose devotion to Aroden is even more comical in this age, due to the deity’s death.
Drovalid - played by Jimmy, is the torturer who eventually has a change of heart.
