Silver Crusade

Male Human

Your stomach growls. There’s no more food in your supply. What was once a large, soft ball of succulent nutrition is now nothing. Absent. Your rational mind does not know what to do.

Instinct, however, directs you, and gives you one simple instruction. Leave. You feel it in your soul. It hadn’t occurred to you that there might be more things outside this little ball you’d been in as long as you could remember, but now that you thought about it, maybe it made sense. If there was no more food in here, maybe there was food out there.

Extending your fore claw, you can feel the edge of this little sack. You know you have to break free.

Roll a strength check to break your egg.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Confused and more than a little scared about what might happen, Amddiffynnydd extends his claws and starts pawing at the leathery wall that envelops him. He begins gently, testing the wall, then as the hunger and instinct to leave and stretch out overwhelm him he begins to tear at it frantically.

Strength Check: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Shhhhhhripppp, the leathery case around you rips away.

Your head poking out of the casing, you look around, your lungs filling with the outside. Above and below you are big, grey plates, and around you are long, grey and brown bars, standing up in the space between the two plates.

Outside the bars, though, you see more outside. The space you’re in is about ten times as long as you, and eight times as wide. In front of you, there are some fluffy things. They’re weird. Two of them are about twice as big as you, and one of them is even bigger than that. They’re circling around you and making a low, grovelly noise. They don’t look very nice to you.

Roll Initiative

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Blinking away the remnants of the egg and looking around Amddiffynnydd jumps up at the sight of the furry shapes and turn towards them. Gathering his nerve, he looks out at the figures and says, "You fellows wouldn't know where a dragon could get a bite to eat do you? I'm starving!"

As I understand it, the bars are between me and them, correct? Should they make a hostile move towards me I'll use my slow breath weapon and back away.

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Little Creature A: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 = 9Little Creature B: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Big Creature: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Silver Crusade

Male Human

You are in a cage. Things like breath weapons will pass through the bars. A claw attack or tail swipe will not. Also, you won initiative, so it's your move.

The creatures snarl and snap at you, letting out short barks.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

I'll repeat what I said in Giant and Gnoll and maybe Dwarven? (They're furry, right?) Should they continue being hostile then I will use the slow breath weapon.

Rules wise I'm speaking and readying my breath weapon if they remain hostile

Silver Crusade

Male Human

The grey furry quadrupeds do not seem to be responding to your words. As you speak, one of the smaller ones leaps up to your height, attempting to bite into your cage, but succeeding only in chewing on the bars.

Reflexively, you spit out your slowing breath at them.

Fort Saves

LCA: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
LCB: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13
BC: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

The breath slows all of them.

Moving at a strange, slow pace, the other smaller creatures jumps up and chews on your cage while the larger one crouched down, as though preparing to jump.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

I wonder if maybe these animals are trapped as I am. Since they haven't shown any sign of intelligence, I don't wish to harm them if it's not necessary. Trusting to the bars of the cage I back as far away from the creatures as I can and hope they hold and my attackers get bored.

Breath Weapon: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Silver Crusade

Male Human

The little creatures do nothing but chew on the bars of your cage for another round. The larger one, however, jumps into the air and lands on the surface in front of your cage.

As he growls, you hear a deep snarl from the massive creature, again squatting as though he intends to jump.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Trusting that the top of my cage can support the beast if he jumps again, I lock eyes with the big one and growl back at it. Summoning all the command a creature a minute or so old can muster, I shout at it, "GET DOWN!!!", and extend my claw in the direction of the floor.

Breath Weapon Duration: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Intimidate Check if needed: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15

Silver Crusade

Male Human

The smaller creatures shrink back from you as you speak, their pace still slowed. The largest creature, however, jumps forward.

Even at his slowed pace, he rockets into your cage with all his weight and strength, knocking it to the floor.

Strength Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

However, the bars of your cage are sturdy, and do not waver.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Clearing my head from the fall and crash, my first thought is I shoulda stayed in that egg. Seeing as that's not really an option, I hope a shot of acid will convince this thing I'm not a good meal. Growling I mutter at it, "I said GET DOWN!!!" and let loose with a stream of acid.

Breath Weapon Damage: 2d10 ⇒ (9, 6) = 15

Breath Weapon Available: 1d4 ⇒ 4

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

The large creature speeds up as your breath hits it, but it is caught in the line none the less, emitting a high-pitched yelp.

The smaller creatures also speed back up, running over to your cage and attempting to break it.

Strength Check 1: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 1 = 16
Strength Check 2: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13

Each failing, the larger one attempts the same thing.

Strength Check: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11

But to no avail.

Meanwhile, however, your acid breath seems to have worn at the bars.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

"NOW GET BACK!!!" I continue to admonish the attackers, making myself as big as possible in the vain hope the acid will convince them to back off. I ready an attack in case they are able to break through, hoping I don't have to use it.

Silver Crusade

Male Human

The creatures seem afraid, but continue to pound against your cage.

Strength: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 1 = 10

The first one fails.

Strength: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

As does the second

Strength: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

The largest creature, though, breaks your cage open where you had dissolved it.

Your readied action is triggered. Make your attack rolls.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4
Claw 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Claw 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (15) + 12 = 27 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

I quickly pounce on the larger creature in the hopes of disabling or scaring it away. Nicking it several times, I let out a roar partially to scare it and partially in an attempt to bolster my own courage.

Silver Crusade

Male Human

All of your attacks connect fully with the creature, making it yelp. Still, it growls back at you with resolve.

(Which actually brings us back to your turn... so yeah.)

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Briefly looking beyond my attacker, I press my advantage in hopes of opening an escape route.

Bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Claw 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (4) + 12 = 16 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Claw 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Silver Crusade

Male Human

After your third hit, you see the creature collapse in front of you.

The two smaller creatures snarl at you. They step forward and attempt to bite you.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

The creature is successful. Its teeth dig into you, opening up a bloody wound.

Damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

The other creature does the same.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

It is less successful, however.

As you seek an escape route, you notice that, to the right, you have a straight shot to this large chamber's exit, though leaving would likely give the creatures an extra chance to swing at you.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Springing into the air for the first time, I launch myself towards the exit. I gain enough altitude to stay out of range of my attackers and take a quick look around as I move out of the chamber.

Perception if needed: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (16) + 13 = 29

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Taking off into flight still provokes attacks of opportunity from the creatures, and they swing at you.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17

They both miss, however, and you fly off.

On the other side of the narrow exit, from which the creatures do not seem to follow you, you see a long hallway. It's pitch black, but your darkvision allows you to see the world around you in monochrome.

The hallway continues ahead, leading to the only light you see. It also branches off to the right, from which you detect no light. Which path do you choose?

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Curiosity getting the better of me, I head towards the light, staying near the ceiling. If the walls/ceiling are stone I use my climb stone ability to creep along them quietly and try to discern where the light is coming from and who may be using it. If not, I fly near the ceiling until I come across a good place to hide and listen

How bright is the light and approximately how far from me is it? Also how long is the hallway?

Silver Crusade

Male Human

As you crawl along the walls and ceiling, you reach the light before very much time at all passes. The light is moderately bright, and seems to come from a strange, wavy mass at the end of a stick. As you approach, you see a hallway of such sticks, partway down which is a room from which you can hear a loud clanking sound, and from which you can smell a rotten, ghastly odor.

Past there, the hallway continues into a room, but you can only see a sliver of it, and can tell only that it is bathed in more light like you had seen.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Wincing at the smell, I creep closer and try to peek into the room without attracting the attention of whatever made that clank.

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Roll a Stealth Check

Perception: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22
Perception: 1d20 ⇒ 14

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Silver Crusade

Male Human

You successfully peek into the room without being detected.

Inside, you see two strange, tall creatures. The first, the evident source of the clanking you had heard, is shorter than the other. It rests its back and rear legs on a block of metal, while with its forepaws it grips two objects, a long, glowing stick with one, and a short stick with a large block on the end with the other. It is striking the glowing stick with the block.

To its right is the source of the smell, a creature a bit shorter than it, with dark grey flesh and exposed bone. It stands awkwardly, as though not far away from falling over.

What do you do?

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Taking in the room, I look for a way out other than the one I came in. If there isn't one, I'll go back and take the other hallway. If there is, I'll hop down and ask, "Were is this place and can you tell me how to get out?" I'll also have my slow breath weapon ready to go in case things turn bad, again.

Silver Crusade

Male Human

There is no such exit.

Creeping past the room's occupants, you see a sliver of a room up ahead, bathed in light.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

I head towards the new room, hoping to find my way out of wherever this is. I try to peek into the room, hopeful of finding some friendlier occupants or a way out.

Silver Crusade

Male Human

You see another fire, this one larger than the last, and two creatures. They both look similar to the ones you saw in the other room, except that one is about half the size of the others you've seen.

They are sitting by the fire. You think they are talking, but you cannot hear them, which seems strange, as you are close enough to.

There is a way out on the other side of the cave.

Roll a Stealth Check again, unless you weren't trying to be sneaky.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

As I watch them for a minute, I wonder if they can somehow talk in their heads. Deciding if they can, it's probably best not to be seen at all, so I continue to try to sneak past.

Stealth: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

Silver Crusade

Male Human

As you sneak through the room, the smaller creature's head snaps toward you. He stands up and points a digit at you. "It's the Dragon!" he says. He looks like he's shouting, but the sound reaches you almost as a whisper.

Roll Initiative

Halfling Initiative: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Human Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26
Another Roll Whose Function Needn't Concern You: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

If possible, my first action will be to use my slow breath on both creatures

Silver Crusade

Male Human

The larger creature stands up shouting a word and moving his hand oddly. You aren't quite sure what to make of it.

The creature then picks up a stick, similar to the one you had seen in the other room, but not glowing, and runs around you before approaching you from behind.

The smaller creature, meanwhile, stands up and steps over to you, moving to be directly across from its companion, with you in the middle. It thrusts the item toward you.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22

It hits a spot between your scales and hits you in an important vein, causing you roar with pain.

Damage: 1d4 + 3d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (6, 5, 5) + 1 = 18

"Now, go back to your cage or I'll poke you again," the little creature declares with a grin.

"Careful!" the larger one whispers. "The clients want him alive."

"I know. I'll be gentle in the end."

Because they are across from each other, you cannot use your slow breath on both of them. What do you do?

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Bracing myself for the expected attacks, I leap to the ceiling and breathe down on them. "Who wants me alive? Where is this place?"

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Make a fly check to talked off at a 90 degree angle if that's what you meant, though taking off at a 45 degree angle to the left would be better for you.

Attack of Oppertunity: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21

Attack of Oppertunity: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20

Both of the creature swing their weapons at you as you leap, one attack bouncing off your scales, the other making its mark.

Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

From your vantage, you strike them both with your breath.

Fort Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10

Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20

The larger creature seems to be slowed, but the smaller one is able to withstand the cloud unharmed, with much coughing.

"You can talk?" the creature says as it coughs.

In its slowed state, the larger creature runs over to where it was and drops it's stick on the ground.

The smaller one, meanwhile, drops it's stick as well, pulling out a clear container with a strange, translucent liquid.

"We don't ask our clients who they are, kid. Cult if Kostawhatever is all I know. Now, fly back to your cage and be good. Nothing'll happen to you that way. Pinky swear." He uncorked the bottle and drinks the liquid. As soon as he finishes it, he vanishes from view.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Fly: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (4) + 15 = 19

"Of course I can talk, now if you'll excuse me, I'll be going now." I look around for an exit. If there is one besides the one I came in, I'll take it, if not I'll go back out the way I came in.

Silver Crusade

Male Human

After nine squares of movement down the hall, you see around the corner into another room. Inside, you see another of the smaller bipedal creatures, standing over a big, hard-looking slab on which is strapped another of the larger ones. The smaller creature is sliding a blade through the larger one's flesh, causing a red liquid to pour out.

As you approach, you notice several other creatures strapped to the tables as well, and you hear a faint scream coming from the one currently being attended.

Other than the way into the room, there is a path branching off to the left. You have 55 feet of your first movement left. None of the creatures in the room seem to have noticed you. What do you do?

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Feeling a deep instinctual rage at the torture of the other creatures, I ignore my own wounds and stay near the ceiling. If the ceiling is stone I'll land on it or there is a perch to land on, I'll land on it, if not I'll stay in the air near the ceiling. I wait just a beat to prepare my breath weapon before entering the room.

Fly if needed: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (16) + 15 = 31
Breath Weapon: 1d4 ⇒ 3
Stealth if needed: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 11

This would be the 2nd round since I last breathed, so it will be available next round, correct?

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Correct

Perception: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13

Initiative: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11
Initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Distracted by his foul work, the creature does not initially notice you. However, he turns his head up to look at you as you hear a crossbow fire toward you.

Attack Roll: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (8) + 9 = 17

The bolt does not hit you. However, the first small creature's pointing alerts the torturer to your presence. He turns up toward you. He grins, and shoots lightning up at you.

damage: 7d6 ⇒ (5, 6, 4, 1, 4, 2, 5) = 27

You get a reflex save for half damage.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
Diving at the torturer, I go for his throat in a fit of rage. The smug grin and obvious enjoyment of his "work" pushes my anger to new heights.
Bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3

Silver Crusade

Male Human

As you land near the table, the creature on it, still conscious, smiles at you. It grunts and groans, struggling to place it's finger next to you. It is able to, however, and it casts a spell.

Healing: 3d8 + 7 ⇒ (7, 1, 5) + 7 = 20

You feel many of your wounds heal.

Slow: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

You hear the larger creature you slowed approaching behind you, though they still seem to be slowed down, and do not attack.

The other creature from before also does not attack, attempting to hide beneath a table. stealth: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (5) + 16 = 21

Counter with perception.

Meanwhile, the creature in front of you attempts to touch you as it casts a spell.

Casting Defensively: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (6) + 11 = 17

However, as he attempts to avoid your assaults, he batches the casting.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Perception: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

I whisper a thank you to the creature on the table and lay into the caster in front of me with everything I can.

Claw 1: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Claw 2: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (20) + 12 = 32 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Crit Confirmation: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 Crit Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Bite: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (18) + 11 = 29 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Silver Crusade

Male Human

You do a substantial amount of damage to the small creature in front of you.

The creature who healed you begins to utter a prayer. You do not recognize precisely to what he is praying, but his words speak of healing, hope, and the wonders of the heavens above. You are affected by the Prayer spell. (+1 luck bonus to everything, basically.)

As you float, you see the large biped from the other room take out some strange substance and apply it to the weapon they've been using to fling arrows at you.

Meanwhile, the first smaller biped, aware that you have detected its location, looks around for something to do. Eventually, he smiles, and climbs up on one of the tables, where another creature, one of the large bipeds, lay. He points his crossbow down at them. "I think it's time we reconsider the issue of whether you surrender," he says. The creature he is threatening, beaten and broken, barely sturrs. (This is not the creature who healed you.)

At the same moment, the creature you had damaged takes a step back, pulls out a scroll and uses it, immediately disappearing.

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Infuriated by this development, I fling myself at the smaller creature, trying to knock of him off the table. Taking to the air I build up as much speed as possible, bracing for the impact (And AoO).

Charging Bullrush: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24

Silver Crusade

Male Human

The creature is unable to use his attack of opportunity, as he is instead taking advantage of his readied action to shoot his victim.

Coup de grace damage: 2d3 + 3d6 ⇒ (1, 3) + (2, 4, 5) = 15

The creature is not killed, but is reduced to unconsciousness and badly wounded.

Your bull rush is quite effective, knocking the creature off of the table, leaving him prone on the ground.

The larger creature from the other room fires at you.

To Hit: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (2) + 11 = 13

However, their projectile does not harm you.

The smaller creatures below you stands up, provoking an AoO, and then pulls out his melee weapon.

Meanwhile, you do not see what the invisible creature does.

Stuff: 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (7, 7) + 3 = 17

M Neon Dragon (Copper) Wyrmling

Being the copper dragon I am, I can't resist as I swat a claw as he gets up, "Surrender is off the table!"

AoO: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Snarling, I continue my assault on him
Bite: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (14) + 12 = 26 Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Claw 1: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Claw 2: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (2) + 13 = 15 Damage: 1d4 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

Silver Crusade

Male Human

Every attack hits but your second claw.

The larger creature from the other room shoots a projectile at you. To Hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29

The attack is successful. Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

The smaller creature smirks. "Heh heh. Bring it on boy." He attacks you. to hit: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25

He hits. Damage: 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

At the same time, the Wizard tries to poke you. To Hit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

As you are flat footed and this is a touch attack, 10 will hit. You are effected by Shocking Grasp. damage: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 4, 1, 1, 1) = 8

It is empowered, so you take 12 damage.
