In particular, I would like to ask:

  • Did you find the game easier to follow with the mechanics in spoilers?
  • Did marking movement with arrows help during combat?

Marking movement with arrows was fine, except for I had a lot of trouble with it myself as I couldn't get it work properly for me... I noticed others had no problem, so I guess it's just me and my computer illiteracy. As for using spoilers, as you may have noticed, I often forgot, but that's my bad. I didn't find it particularly helpful as having the dice rolls in the open never bothered me really... It was neither good nor bad imo... Game was fun though.

I liked both. I thought the spoilers helped to separate RP and flavor from mechanics. I'm new to PbP, but that's one big advantage I see so far over F2F (this is my first PbP chronicle): it seems easier to present your action as flavorful thing, rather than a mechanical thing, and I think the spoilers help that.

The arrows worked well for me, and I would like to continue them (and will adopt that for games I GM), but I also am pretty familiar with Google apps, and I could see it being frustrating for someone who isn't.

I don't think the mechanics in spoilers really helps at all. It's just one more thing to remember to do while typing, which I sometimes forgot about. And I never did figure out how to draw the arrows on the maps, though I didn't try particularly hard. It seems like a good idea, if it isn't too tough to do.

So I can level this little gnome up to 2nd level. Now I just have to remember what I was saving up gold for. I have over 1000 gp now, and there's really not that much that a wizard needs that badly. Those partial wands at higher CLs than usual on this chronicle sheet look tempting, not to mention the Pearl of Power.

Between the web site availability issues, and my own personal life getting in the way, I may not have time to get Skivrik's stats entered before Thursday.

I'm sorting through everything right now, the last table just finished--or rather, I ended it because of the site outages.

If the website will stay up for another hour or two, I should have an announcement for all of the tables.

All of the tables are finally finished!

While I am happy to have tried the experiment, it is not something I want to repeat. The workload was definitely manageable, but it ended up not being fun for me. And I suspect that many of you would also have enjoyed it better if I was able to focus more on quality and less on quantity.

I will be cutting back to five tables for the next round, which means we are short a lot of seats. GM Hmm came up with a great idea though. Once the GM School finishes, those players will be running The Wounded Wisp, and they have agreed to reserve seats for those of you who won't be playing the sceanrio with me.

I've sent PMs to the players who will be going through Wounded Wisp with me. For everybody else, please RSVP here if you want to reserve a spot for the next round of the Wisp.

I don't know for sure, but most likely those games will run as part of GameDay VI, which starts the end of August.

As an alternative to waiting for GM school to finish, I would be willing to run a Wounded Wisp table for this group (maybe recruiting a replacement for my character). If there's enough interest I'll make a new thread and post it here.

With the web site reliability issues, I'm actually kinda glad we're not continuing. I don't want to start any new PBP games until the site is more stable. I've still got two others to finish (one where I'm GMing), so we'll see how the site's doing by the time they're done.
