DM Heterocephalus
Upon reaching the noble's house Breunnor can see scores of nobles wearing a half mask of various animals heads such as vulture, tiger, lion and rabbits etc Some of them are undressed as they frolicking around drinking premium wines and laughing. Topless slave girls move around the courtyard serving drinks and finger food.
A fat obese katapesh noble who is lying down on a couch eating grapes off young girl's body noticed Breunnor.
Aaahhhh there you are!!
DM Heterocephalus
The fat noble broke into laughter wiping tears off his face.
This slave is really something...hahaha...funny dwarf..
The fat noble walked to the middle of the courtyard and clapped out loudly drawing the attention of his guest.
Greeting my friends. Know that at Luthin Scolerius house one can always find joy and death....
May I present you a play of death. Revile in their dying breaths as they kill each other so that they may live another day to die on another....I present you your show.
The guests screamed and laugh wildly upon Luthin introduction as Breunnor is made to stand before Aramus.
Begin!
Roll initiative.
Put your actions in spoilers thanks. Btw your dog has arrived Areilla.
Onimais Shaoti
Onimais takes out 5 six sided dice made of bone with red dye markings on it.
Let's play The King's Hand shall we?
A player shall roll 5 dice in hope to win. By putting a bet of 10 gold into the pool he gets 3 attempt. The order of winning suits is as follow.(It's like poker)
In order of strength. (In the event of tie, the bigger number wins. E.g: A full house made of 3s wins a full house made of 1s)
King's Hand- 5 of the same kind.
Queen's Hand- 4 of the same kind.
Full House- 3 of a kind followed by 2 of a kind.
High Straight- 2, 3, 4, 5, 6
Low Straight- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
Three Musketeers- 3 of a kind.
Double Double- Two pairs of 2 of a kind.
Pair- 2 of a kind.
(If the Pair's, Musketeer, Double Double tie we will look at the highest single digit to determine.)
1. Bet 10 gold. Roll 5 dices. Decide which to keep and lock it in.
2. Reroll the dices which you do not keep. Look at the result and lock it in.
3. Bet another 10 gold. Reroll those dice you did not keep again.
4. Final result against the rest. Winner take all.
E.g.: Ariella rolls 1, 2, 3, 5, 5. She decides to keep 5, 5 and Reroll the rest
She rolls 5, 2, 3. She keeps the 5 to form 5, 5, 5, 2, 3. Thinking she has a chance at Full house or better she pays another 10 gold to Reroll 2, 3. She got 5, 1. Thus her final is 5, 5, 5, 5, 5, 1. A Queen's hand of 5 suit.
Onimais smiles and throws 50 gold unto the center of the table.
An incentive to get started.
1st roll: 5d6 ⇒ (1, 5, 3, 1, 3) = 13
Keeps 1, 1, 3, 3
2nd roll: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Pays another 10 gold.
3rd roll: 1d6 ⇒ 5
Double Double of 3 suit
Bah!! Beat that!
Gamble Session 1
Onimais rolled 1, 1, 3, 3, 5 Double double 3
Gold Pool: 60 Gold
It's the weekend so expect it to be slow. No fights yet and have to resolve Breunnor and Aramus fight too. So feel free to take part if you want. Can RP and build some friendship. Talk to each other dammit!!!
Aramus, The Brazen Fool
Aramus bows to the noble. "May I play the part to the best of my ability."
He then turns to Breunnor. "The first move is yours, master dwarf!" he calls with a small bow and flourish as he draws his blades. "I think you'll need it."
Alicarus Vorasik, "The Ripper"
Gods, do I hate double posting...
Alicarus seems quite happy to partake of the marvelous feast laid out. "Much better than my last job," he says as he grabs some food and pours himself a large glass of wine. "There, the service was terrible. This Nightingale place--for all the craptalk people give you, you sure can serve us!" Alicarus reaches out and pinches the buttock of one of the serving girls as she passes. "And perhaps I can serve you, hmm?" he whispers in a husky burlesque tone, then laughs.
Ariella Moiraine
Ariella nods in acknowledgement of Bruennor and Owyn at their earlier comments saying, "Long as we have the same master and you keep your 'little guys' away from me, I have no quarrel with you." After this a box arrives with a messenger, he asks for Ariella. Inside the box is a cute little miniature poodle adorned with pink bows.
"Oh, Princess you're here!" the massive woman coos like a little girl, scooping up the little dog and snuggling it. "I missed you so much baby!" she says, "C'mon, I got a special treat for you." Setting the dog down she lets it follow her over to the corner where she set the white ape's member. Taking out a large knife, she chops half a foot off the end, and minces it up into little bits. Using her own bowl from the table she scoops up the weenie-bits and sets them down before the dog who yips a couple times and then starts chowing down. Grinning like a proud mom, everyone who wasn't already certain can now see that something is seriously wrong with Ariella's mind.
Jobasha "The Jaguar"
Jobasha isn't a gamblin man unless he knows he will win.
Jobasha "The Jaguar"
Well as long as it isn't my money...
5d6 ⇒ (2, 4, 2, 2, 4) = 14
Jobasha "The Jaguar"
"I'll keep that."
Chasik"Bash"
|
Before all the gambling...
Chasik will enjoy the hot food and good wine. He will ignore the human woman delivering drink. The don't have scales, not his type, that may change one day though ;). When he hears of the man waiting at the door to collect the goods Chasik promises him, he will head to the private room, spit some venom into a vial and pluck a scale from his body. He will then walk to the door to deliver his part of the bargain.
Yesss, I am a man of my word. Here are your sssamples I promisssed you. Hope you enjoy these sssuperior ssspecimens human.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well since i can't lose my own money why not see if lady luck sssmiles upon me?
Chasik will put down the 10gp to get three attempts, assuming I understand I get the rules correctly.
5d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 4, 5, 2) = 19
keep 5,5, re-roll the other 3 dice.
3d6 ⇒ (3, 1, 3) = 7
keep the 3,3...re-roll the final dice in hopes to complete the Full House
1d6 ⇒ 3
WOOT! so that leaves me with a final score of 33355...no worries rules were slightly confusing so I have 30/50gp remaining...and if i win the pot i would get 90g more...*crosses scales*
Onimais Shaoti
Pppffftttt!!! Dice!!!
Onimais throws up both hands as he looked at both the results of Chasik and Jobasha.
Gamble Round 1
Onimais 1,1,3,3,5 Bet 60gp Double double 3
Jobasha 2,2,2,4,4 Bet 10gp Full House 2
Chasik 3,3,3,5,5 Bet 20gp Full House 3
Pot: 90gp
Current Leader: Chasik
The 3rd attempt will cost you another 10gp
Breunnor Kegbreaker
Initiative 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Gee ya bein so kind if not stupid at least ya be dyin with proper manners
as Aramus takes his bow Breunnor steps back to allow his weapon the full measure and it twirls around to slam into Aramus chest
using the force of the hit to knock Aramus to the ground trip attack 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Aramus, The Brazen Fool
Aramus gives a heavy exhale as the blast from the weapon knocks him to the ground. Standing as he grabs his weapons, he flashes the fading sunlight into the dwarf's eyes. "You couldn't see what I was doing?" he jests. He then twists one of his swords about in the air, muttering under his breath. Defensive casting dazzling blade.
Concentration DC 17: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Aramus curses as his spell fizzles out due to lack of concentration on his part.
Breunnor Kegbreaker
AOO for standing up (I have a reach weapon) 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
As Aramus attempts to stand the Moutain thunder ball comes crashing down but Aramus rolls to avoid the hit.
Fort save 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (16) + 10 = 26
Ohhh look at the pretty lights.... NOT
breunnor swings mountain thunder once more putting more power into the attack.
Attack (with Power Attack) 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
damage 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18
Breuunor backs away a few steps Ya be a bit nimble but ya ain't got any balls ta finish me so come on ya effin brainless eejit
move 5' step back
Aramus, The Brazen Fool
Aramus deftly dodges the ball as he stands, grimacing as the dwarf grins right through his "blinding" glare. He attempts to dodge the ball again, but it smashes into his chest, hurting him.
"Good shot," he calls, finally slipping back into the arena mindset, "but it's unfortunate that you're using the only ball you have!"
Perform (act): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (5) + 14 = 19
"Ladies and gentlemen, now I shall show you true skill!" Aramus calls as he dashes forward.
Using the signature move
Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21
Blinding Flash again, DC 15 or blind
Trip maneuver: 1d20 + 9 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 9 + 3 = 30
Gladius attack 1: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Gladius damage 1: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Gladius attack 2: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Gladius damage 2: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
So, you're tripped, at least. Unless you're blinded, you avoid the attacks; if you ARE blind, you take 6 damage. WOOOO!!!
Aramus is at 36 HP; all other stats stand as in his spoiler.
Breunnor Kegbreaker
As Aramus advances of breunnor attempting to manuver past his wrecking ball managed to duck just as the ball passes over Aramus's head.
AOO for passing through threaten area (i backed up forcing you to move 10' to reach me) 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Fort save for the blinding 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (3) + 10 = 13
this time the flash hit breunnor square in the eyes leaving him momentarily blinded and prone.
breunnor stands (take an AOO for standing) doing his best to defend against the attacks as he clears his eyes.
Breunnor swings his ball in a circular arc in the hope he can connect with something. but finding nothing.
blinded attack 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (8) + 11 = 19 miss chance (<50 miss) 1d100 ⇒ 45
HP 57 / 63
AC 17 (blinded AC 12)
Aramus, The Brazen Fool
Doesn't matter since you missed, but Aramus tumbled toward you, with an Acrobatics higher than your CMD, so you wouldn't have gotten an AoO. Just letting you know.
Aramus grins as Breunnor stumbles to his feet, obviously blinded. He swipes the dwarf with a gladius as he stands.
AoO with gladius: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6
After dodging the wild swing, Aramus takes a couple more swings at the dwarf, hoping to send him sprawling once more. "Foolish small one! You can't defeat me; just give up!" Yet he knows in his mind that if the dwarf manages to hit him again, Aramus may well fall. Full attack using Combat Expertise.
Trip attempt: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Gladius: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
Okay, does the penalty and/or loss of Dex to AC from being blinded also apply to CMD? Because if it doesn't, than Aramus is prone right now. If he's standing, his AC is now a 19; if he's prone, it's a 14 (ouch...).
Also, if he's prone, this is a hilariously sad battle. I wouldn't be surprised if the lords called it off and had us both just put to death for our mediocrity haha. Freaking dice rolls...
DM Heterocephalus
The obese katapesh lord and his guest laugh hilariously at the exchange between the 2 gladiators. As Aramus falls prone again while a blinded Dwarf swings blindly.
Hahaha!!! This is hilarious the should have join the troupe!!!
Alicarus Vorasik, "The Ripper"
"Sure," Alicarus says, moving to join the slave master. "Nothing like pretending you have money!"
Bet 10 of the 50 gold.
First rolls: 5d6 ⇒ (3, 3, 3, 1, 5) = 15 Keep the 5
Second rolls: 4d6 ⇒ (3, 6, 5, 2) = 16 Keep the second 5
"Hmm... What the hell."
Betting another 10 gold.
Third rolls: 3d6 ⇒ (5, 3, 3) = 11
"Haha!" Alicarus shouts, pumping his fist in the air. "Full house, 5s over 3s!" Final dice: 5,5,5,3,3
Onimais Shaoti
Baahh you win!!
Alicarius wins 110 gold
One more!!!
Onimais throws in another bag of 50 gold.
5d6 ⇒ (5, 2, 6, 6, 3) = 22
Keep 6, 6
3d6 ⇒ (3, 5, 1) = 9
Pay 10 gold
3d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2) = 4
Blasphemous God!! Double double again??!!
Onimais face palms.
Go ahead win it.
Round 2
Onimais 6, 6, 1, 1, 2 Double Double 6
Pot: 60 gold
Breunnor Kegbreaker
see the dice gods hate us this is nearly as bad as my normal table game I am left wondering if I am roll d20's or d10's
best I can tell if blinded you loose Dex bonus to Ac (+ additional -2 to AC) If you loose dex bonus to AC then I would also assume you loose it to CMD but probably not the additional -2 to AC so my base CMD=20 -2 for no dex bringing it to 18 and +4 for dwarf stability for a final total of 22
the first trip attack was so high that it beat my CMD even with the stability
With Aramus lying prone Breunnor sets up again so that his enemy is within his reach (10') and swings down on the prone Aramus once again putting all of his power into the atack 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28 smashing aramus in the chest for 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14 damage
And stay down !! ya panty wipe enuich
missed a crit by 1
current HP 51 / 63
BTW don't forget I have Diehard feat so even if you get me to zero I still have a few rounds of fight remaianing

paying 10gp leaving me 10/50gp was given to play game. re-rolling all 3 dice.
3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 4) = 12
Hells yes, hat r the odds of that happening lol. totl score is Full House of 44455 :)

Second roll: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 5) = 12
"Ahh..." Alic clasps a hand to his chest. "Looks like I lost this one...
Final dice: 1,5,5,5,6
Aramus, The Brazen Fool
Aramus, unsure of what else to do after tripping himself and then being pounded again, stands once more, hoping he can somehow dodge the ball that, no doubt, will come his way once more (AoO here). Hoping beyond hope, he tries his most unlikely tactic yet.
First, he tumbles in close, toward the dwarf. Acrobatics: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (10) + 12 = 22
Next, he lines up a shot at the dwarf's head, and slices down with both gladii, hoping to decapitate the fellow. This provokes the AoO, as well.
"Fool dwarf, your head lies but four feet from the ground--I'll try and cover that in one swing!"
Perform (act): 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (8) + 14 = 22
Sever attempt: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27 (Holy... I don't know if that counts as an auto success in this case. It's my understanding that that clause applies to the roll against CMD. I'm going to go ahead and do the percentage; but the DM should rule on this, even if he makes this a special case since I don't particularly want to win.)
Sever has a 19% chance of working.
Does it work?: 1d100 ⇒ 56 (Phew!)
Though it looks that the blades will separate the dwarf's head from his shoulders, dwarven bone and muscle are known to be rock hard. Aramus' swords only bite a little, before they fall away.
(You got two AoO's and took no damage this round.
HP: 22/54
All else as in class spoiler.
Breunnor Kegbreaker
no combat reflexes feat so only 1 Aoo
As Aramus gets up Breunnor takes advanatage of the opening with the wrecking ball slaming towards Aramus's head.
alright ya fat-arsed mental scunner time ta be squashed like da bug you are
attack Aoo 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
damage 1d10 + 10 ⇒ (10) + 10 = 20
As Aramus moves in for the sever breunnor feels the blade slam into his neck but the angle was wrong breunnor can see the blood pouring from Aramus sensing the end is near. Nice try to end it early But I be to damn tough fer that. I can can only say one thing... Breunnor sinches up on the ball's chain and swings it around in an arc slamming into Aramus' head THERE CAN BE ONLY ONE!!!
swift action shorten the ball to close combat
Attack roll 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30
damage 1d10 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
DM Heterocephalus
Bravo!!! Bravo!!! Highlander!!! That was a fantastic show hahaha!!!!
The obese Katapesh Lord ran up and hug Breunnor as he kicked prone Aramus in the chest
So shall we kill?? What say you???
The katapesh lords gathered around Breunnor screaming.
Kill!! Kill!! Kill!!! Kill!!
Up to you Breunnor to kill or not to kill
Aramus, The Brazen Fool
Aramus accepts the blast as he stands to strike Breunnor. However, he can't keep standing after being blasted in the face by the dorn-dergar. He falls to the ground, unconscious, bleeding out.
At -10 hit points. -14 kills me. DO IT!!! FINISH HIM!!!!!
Glad this is over.
Onimais Shaoti
Alright Chasik you won this hand you slithering snake haha!!
Chasik wins 100 gp. All used fold will be returned.
Well that's all for me! Eat well and rest well. You have all done you house proud...
Garris I believe Lord Mendes will have a word with you. The rest of you rest well for tomorrow we will resume training. A little teamwork I say..
With that Onimais left the gladiators at the table.
RP a bit know each other. Tomorrow training starts and you will be given a free teamwork feat.
Garris "The Dragon"
Thank you Onimais.
Garris will get up after having his fill and head up to the balcony. He will approach with head down never raising his eyes to meet his lords.
My lord I will be the most ferocious gladiator your house has ever seen. I will line your coffers and more with gold before I meet my end. I will do all of this because it seems destiny has brought me here to better my self in preparation for the good I will do once I am away from here. I thought that you should know that I possess other skills as well. Ones that can further this ludus off the sands. I humbly ask of you to allow me to do this for you and the ludus. If you cold supply me with the alchemical things I need as well as some other resources, I could supply this ludus with potions to heal the men between battles. Alchemical objects that the men can use on the sands, and various poisons as well. Again thank you my lord for seeing me.
Garris drops to a knee and bows waiting to be dismissed or addressed.

We still have 10gp/50gp to start with; left over for 2 rolls, if Onimais is willing to put up 50gp more lol...if so then. if he doesn't put up the initial 50gp, then i will gladly take the 100gp i won :)
5d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 3, 1, 3) = 18

Jobasha "The Jaguar"
"Gotta walk off some of this meal..."
Jobasha will walk around the areas of the Ludus in which he is permitted, speaking with anyone who wants to.
Ariella Moiraine
Jobasha feels a hand stroking the nape of his neck. Turning around he sees Ariella behind him grinning. "You're such a pretty kitty." She says, attempting to pet him further. "Do you like water?"
Jobasha "The Jaguar"
Jobasha, visibly perturbed, steps back two steps. "Not particularly."
