Okki's profile has a bunch of gestalt tomfoolery in it at the moment. I'll re-load it quickly as I can seperate the data from the alias to another game I joined when I thought this one was doomed.


Ok how dose everyone feel about Kibbles idea of having me roll Imitative? Are there any other rolls that you feel would benefit the group by having me roll them?

As for combat, I feel that it works best to provide the basic defensive stats for the opponents. This allows for each of you to know weather you have succeeded in your actions against the foe and means that no one needs to wait for me to wright up a response to each action. Is everyone fine with this? Dose anyone have a suggestion on how to run combat a better way?

Having the DM roll initiatives tends to be much faster and gets everyone going more quickly, so I say it's a good choice. As far as the other bits, I'm okay with them, too.

Some of my pbp groups have thrown out initiative altogether in favor of GM turn and Player turn. It keeps posters from having to wait on someone elses initiative. Then they just made improved initiative to mean a +1 dodge bonus in the first round of combat.

Other than that, I'm just great-full you took over and don't want to make too much extra work for you.

seen that too that way people post first come first hit. you could use average initiatives for us and average for them and roll two initiatives us vs them that could make it easier.

It just simplifies the whole process really. You go, then we all go, then you go.. until combat ends. Also makes Aoo's easy, since we should be pre-rolling them on our turns.

I haven't tried Okki's way but that could work better, otherwise sometimes you end up having to repost actions when your action is invalidated by someone earlier in the initiative.

I haven't done it with us having the stats before either (well, maybe once), but it seems like it would help make things smoother, so sounds fine.


@Chubgrub You couldn't charge the wounded horse (former bandit A's horse) as you wouldnt have a clear path. You could charge the horses of bandit B, or bandit G. You could also charge bandit D, plz let me know which you prefer. You can try to stab ppl with a club, but i think you might have a hard time.

@Kibbles Happs did make his ride check, by a considerable margin. That didn't help him much against Frag's lance almost ripping him apart. Considering the couple feet of steel he finds himself impaled upon, I think you should be free of any attacks while you charge the terrible Horse.

@Hophop I'm unable to find a mudball spell, plz provide a link. unless your just throwing mudballs at him, in wich case cary on ;)

    Just letting you all know, tomorrow, I'll be getting on a plane to the US. So there will be a huge gap of time where I will most likely not be online. I might check in from Beijing, but I can't guarantee it. Also, I'll be in the states for about a week, and I'm sure I'll have internet at various points, but I'll also be moving stuff and visiting friends, so I might not be available quite as much as I have been. Aside from my day in the Beijing Airport I should manage once a day just the same though!


    Trading the weapons and armor will net you 400gp, Oleg will exchange supplys and weapons as he sees fit to cover the total. I will give every one till tomorrows post to decide if they want something from the loot or ask for goods from Oleg.

    Farg farg doesn't want any of the long shanks kit, he does want a heavy steel shield and a long sword though. Small sized of course. = 35g

    If we can afford it, I would like a small short bow and 40 arrows. = 32g

    Oleg has a small heavy wooden shield, and a long sword that is medium. he dose not have a small long sword, nor a Scimitar, however these items are easily attainable and would require a week to get.(game time) Medium Short swords could count as a small long sword for small pc's.
    Bottles of perfume are hard to come by in the greenbelt. If Oleg has any, he isn't selling them.
