I deliberately keep a extract slot open for each level, so I can spend a minute to mix up an Infusion of Communal Ant Haul. Would that be a viable solution?
Victoria Hennessee

Relieved the creatures have stopped attacking, Victoria lets out a cheer Well done, team!
She reaches down to the two great beasts, closing her eyes, she touches them.
Sacred Touch You were exposed to a potent source of positive energy as a child, perhaps by being born under the right cosmic sign, or maybe because one of your parents was a gifted healer. As a standard action, you may automatically stabilize a dying creature
Then she gets a puzzled look, before a smile forms on her face.
Anyone have a large wagon and team of draft horses in their haversack?
She does not have any spells that will last long enough to make a difference with the hauling
Hakaam Al-Ajam
|
Hmm. After considering it, Hakaam probably wouldn't be able to prepare another mutagen while traveling on foot. So lets hope we don't run into trouble on the way back. Between that and our lack of healing, I am somewhat concerned
| GM Cody |
I guess with communal ant haul, you guys might be able to drag these bulettes back to Urglin. Very Will Smith in Independence Day style. I couldn't find a weight for these guys anywhere on the internet.
With some help from Kazzok's potions and numerous ropes, you guys set out to drag these Bulettes back into Urglin. After about an hour, the sun is still high in the sky. A few of you may notice something.
Just as you guys round a hill, Urglin is visible in the distance, maybe just a mile or so off. A Sudden gust brings with it a large dust storm enveloping the group. Visibility is reduced to just 5 or so feet in front of you, all sight of the bird lost.
Hakaam Al-Ajam
|
I do have a time question: With Communal Ant Haul active, are we able to get back to Urglin in less than an hour? Or rather, I guess the salient question is, if this is a prelude to something sinister (as these things tend to be) is it within the next hour or so?

Just need a couple more perception checks, I know 35+ can be pretty hard to achieve at this level. Yeah, the scenario presents some options for how you guys might convince the Bulettes to come with you but in regards to travel time it just says "Once the PCs secure a captive bulette, it takes 1d4+1 additional hours to return to Urglin."

As the sudden duststorm passes just as quickly as it arrived. A huge shadow has overtaken where you guys are standing. As the roc lets out a shrill screech, it finishes its dive, charging one of the tasty Bulettes!
Charging it and wrapping its talons deep into its flesh.
Even as it charges, Darro let's loose a powerful arrow but it's buffetted away by the even more powerful bird's wings!
This seems to be an advanced Roc, or as the scenario calls it, a Cinderlands Roc :P, a 20 isn't enough to hit even with it charging. It has grabbed hold of the Bulette, on its next turn it'll attempt to fly off with him

The Bullete and Roc both begin falling to the ground, the Bulette honking and roaring but Victoria is ready with a Feather fall, saving both animals!
out of combat, good job guys, I’m gonna hand wave you guys capturing your Bulette again, the thing has like 5 hit points ,
As you return to Urglin with not one but TWO Burettes, you enjoy a brief period of celebrity as the normally aggressive and unwelcoming citizens gather to admire the beasts and the adventurers who were strong enough to capture them. This following grows all the way to the Bloodworks, and by the time you guys reach the arena, you have an informal entourage of several hundred citizens who are as eager to the see the bulette tear apart gladiators as they are to slap one of the Pathfinders on the back and compliment you on your hunting prowess.
Ploog’s Pitmaster takes the Bulettes from you and leads them down a dark tunnel into the underbelly of the arena, with Ploog himself inviting you up to his office.
”Thank you retrieving those Bulettes for me, its amazing you were able to capture two of them even,” Motioning to a scrawny, down-on-his-luck orc wearing rags, a harness for carrying a few tools, and a set of masterwork manacles that is standing off to the side of the room. ”Here is the best guide around, Gulros”
you guys can roleplay with Ploog now if you'd like, or Gulros, or each other,
Darro Demonbane

Darro and Blackthorn refrain from watching any spectacle of beastly gladiatorial combat.
Hakaam Al-Ajam

"Indeed great Ploog of Urglin. These two are a mated pair, a fine addition to your arena. I can only imagine that, in your infinite wisdom, you have already imagined the possibilities of Urglin-bred bulettes. As we have so vastly exceeded, we would make a small request of you; that you provide us with introduction to the Gorumite clergy so that we may purchase some wands from them, as well as introduction to an establishment where we can rest before we undertake our journey to find Kline. And finally, perhaps an introduction to your most trusted weaponsmith, that we may arm, or re-arm ourselves further" asks a humble Hakaam, his head bowed down into the dust.
This guide looks like a joke. Skin and bones, I'm not even sure he will last.
Archibald Peck
|
Hakaam speaks the truth! These should do you quite nicely - so why don't we talk about what you plan to use them for. Surely you don't plan to simply send them to the slaughter!
| GM Cody |
With a self-assured smile, Ploog states, “Perhaps you failed to understand the nature of the bargain, pinkskins. You brought me a bulette, and I introduced you to the best guide around. That guide is still my property, and I won’t have you touching him or speaking to him out of turn.” He spares a moment to pick at one of his lower canines in thought before continuing. “If you wish to purchase him, of course, I would be open to negotiating a second favor—one far less troublesome and time-consuming. In return, the slave will be yours to do as you wish. Interested?”
Kazzok Odolgun
|
Kazzok grumbles at Ploog's arrangement, and pulls the others aside.
"I don't like dealing with greenskins, but we should seek to get our guide under the best possible circumstances. Let's do this other favor, and then we can sell the guide to someone less cruel than Ploog when we're done with him"
Hakaam Al-Ajam
|
"We'll hear your task, but do not constitute it as acceptance of the task, great Ploog or Urglin. And as for the other requests?"
| GM Cody |
Merry Christmas everyone and Happy Holidays, we'll be getting back into the swing of things tomorrow first thing! I hope you all didn't mind the slow down too much
| GM Cody |
Ploog a large smiling spreading across his tusky orcish mouth, "It's simple really, the town of Urglin loves you already, theirs only one thing they'd love more and thats to see you lot fight my champion, Vroth the Crusher, Hah and what a match it'll be! If you win, well the slave is yours and you can claim Vroth's mighty collection, he's amassed quite a number of items from his many losers."
Darro Demonbane

"Before we give you an answer, who is this Vroth and how does he fight? And will it be just him versus us or does he fight with others? You know of us and it would be foolish for us to answer blindly without gathering all the relevant information."

Victoria listens silently, not altogether happy about participating in a gladiator event.
"An additional question or two regarding this contest. Would we select our champion to face him alone or all of us at once? And are there any restrictions on supporting spells or prayers? ."
| GM Cody |
Grumbling, "Vroth the Crusher is an Ettin, a powerful Son O' A b*!+&, my best fighter and prized champion, in a fight like this to help even the odds he'd be fighting with his four prized Aurochs,"
Hakaam Al-Ajam
|
"I see. Will you accommodate our previous request?"
| GM Cody |
Waving you off, "I can give you a an hour, it'll take some time to get word out to the town that we are having such a glorious fight,"
