"Well done," Kohl says, as soon as he's able to speak so anyone but Sid can understand him. "That wrestling move was very impressive, Zavier."

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

"Did I just kill my first giant?" Sid says a little shell shocked.

Brawler (Beast Wrestler)/17 | HP 193/193| AC 22 T 16 FF 19 | F 17 R 16 W 13 | Per +21 | Init +8 | MaFe 11/11| KO 3/3 DC 26 | Combat Stamina 20/20

Hah, Sid is giant slayer like rest of us! Yes Zaiver take down one eye Kohl! But is too easy for them to escape. Zavier hold should be UNBREAKABLE! Must train more!

Zavier waves at the fleeing humans Tell all about GiantSlayers!

You head on for a few more hours, following the path as indicated by the geode map. The stream you have been following has now become a river at this point and it drops down into a large, winding valley. A wide, well-trodden trail descends into the valley alongside the river.

The valley lies beneath the slopes of several tall mountains, carved by a snaking river fed by numerous mountain streams. (You are coming in at area B on the map.) It is now starting to get dark

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

"I here these mountains get dangerous at night. I can help us not have to worry about attack at night."

If folks agree to rest Sid cast keep watch.

"With this spell we can all keep watch and not sleep but feel rested in the morning."

Then for the second spell he casts will cast rope trick.

"With this we will be in another dimension, I can't fully close it off but the entrance is invisible and spells can't enter. There will be a rope hanging out of it but if we put the rope against the side of a tree it will be really hard to find for those not knowing what to look for."

Sid will cast rope trick so that the rope runs down along a tree hoping it will blend in. At minimum it will not be visible from 180 degrees.

Brawler (Beast Wrestler)/17 | HP 193/193| AC 22 T 16 FF 19 | F 17 R 16 W 13 | Per +21 | Init +8 | MaFe 11/11| KO 3/3 DC 26 | Combat Stamina 20/20

Sid very smart! No one sneak up GiantSlayers!

M Half-Elf Warsighted(Oracle)-8 | HP 40/64 | AC20 T11 FF19 CMD22 | F+4 R+4 W+7 (+2 vs enchant)| Init+2 Percept+4 low-light vision | Current effects:-2CON

Kohl is pretty astonished by Sid's ingenuity. "That's damn handy."

Perception: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12

While you are resting you see two large creatures flying by.

They are has the head of a badger, the hooves of a stag, and a wide mouth with sharp ridges of bone instead of teeth.

They do not appear to have noticed you

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Knowledge Any Creature: 1d20 + 18 ⇒ (11) + 18 = 29

Does Sid know what the creatures are?

Sid you recognise the creatures as leucrottas. They are immune to disease and poison. They have an ability that functions like suggestion if their opponents are unaware of them and they have a powerful bite that can do extra damage.

The creatures do not appear to have noticed you.

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

"There a Lecrottas in the area. We should be careful they are trick and can control your mind. I'm sure there are many worse magical beasts, maybe even dragons."

If everyone is good to go we can head out in the morning.

Goliath Druid 17 | AC 29 w/Barkskin (32 v. Giants w/Barkskin)/14/24 | HP 212/212 | CMD 28 (32 v. Bull rush or trip) | F+18, R+10, W+19, (+2 v. Spells, SLAs, and poison) (+4 to saves v. SLA and SU abilities of giant)| Perc25, Init+4 | Darkvision 60’

Dolgrym was happy to let the beats pass and resume their hunt tomorrow.

The leucrottas fly around for a bit and then head off, presumably hunting. The rest of the night passes uneventfully.

Where do you want to head to next?

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Which letter(s) does the map seem to indicate is the Minderhal's Valley. Or at least the final point on the crystal map.

C seems like the next obvious choice (it will get more complicated after that).

"This valley has a lot of twists a turns. We could head directly to our goal or we could explore the whole valley. It would take longer but so far our side treks have produced weapons from previous giant wars that, I think, will be helpful. What does everyone else think?"

GM we can have the talk about the plan for the valley as a whole as we explore the first few locations as they are all on the way. This will keep the game moving and the party moving.

M Half-Elf Warsighted(Oracle)-8 | HP 40/64 | AC20 T11 FF19 CMD22 | F+4 R+4 W+7 (+2 vs enchant)| Init+2 Percept+4 low-light vision | Current effects:-2CON

"Normally, I prefer the direct method, but you are correct, Sid. I'm fine spending a little extra time."

@Sid- yeah that's fine

The map seems to be leading you to an area in the centre of the valley (Area Z on the map)

Area C

The dusty path eases down a gentle slope littered with small boulders. Jagged grey mountains rise on all sides, their peaks resembling the broken jaw of a fallen god. On the surrounding slopes, small copses of fir trees cling desperately to patches of rocky soil, their exposed roots tenaciously grasping the earth in knotted tangles.

Perception 15

Goliath Druid 17 | AC 29 w/Barkskin (32 v. Giants w/Barkskin)/14/24 | HP 212/212 | CMD 28 (32 v. Bull rush or trip) | F+18, R+10, W+19, (+2 v. Spells, SLAs, and poison) (+4 to saves v. SLA and SU abilities of giant)| Perc25, Init+4 | Darkvision 60’

Perception 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (6) + 13 = 19

Dolgrym you can hear the sounds of two people arguing together with the occasional growling of a bear. You can also hear a heavy thudding noise

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

"Do we want to approach invisibilly or call out?"

Brawler (Beast Wrestler)/17 | HP 193/193| AC 22 T 16 FF 19 | F 17 R 16 W 13 | Per +21 | Init +8 | MaFe 11/11| KO 3/3 DC 26 | Combat Stamina 20/20

I wish to wrestle the bear! Zavier says.

Coming into view is an Ettin, accompanied by a cave bear.

You can all have a surprise round action should you wish

Using map 2

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Sid will cast haste in the sunrise round.

M Half-Elf Warsighted(Oracle)-8 | HP 40/64 | AC20 T11 FF19 CMD22 | F+4 R+4 W+7 (+2 vs enchant)| Init+2 Percept+4 low-light vision | Current effects:-2CON

Kohl casts lead blades on his sword.

Brawler (Beast Wrestler)/17 | HP 193/193| AC 22 T 16 FF 19 | F 17 R 16 W 13 | Per +21 | Init +8 | MaFe 11/11| KO 3/3 DC 26 | Combat Stamina 20/20

Zavier charges the bear!

Unarmed Strike Charge Haste: 1d20 + 17 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (15) + 17 + 2 + 1 = 35
Unarmed Strike Damage 1: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8

Zavier charges into the bear before it even has a chance to notice him.

Zavier initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (4) + 4 = 8

Kohl initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Sid initiative: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8

Dolgrym initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

bear initiative: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7

ettin initiative: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10

Initiative order:

Block 1: Dolgrym and Kohl

Block 2: Ettin

Block 3: Zavier and Sid

Block 4: Bear

So Block 1 your actions

Goliath Druid 17 | AC 29 w/Barkskin (32 v. Giants w/Barkskin)/14/24 | HP 212/212 | CMD 28 (32 v. Bull rush or trip) | F+18, R+10, W+19, (+2 v. Spells, SLAs, and poison) (+4 to saves v. SLA and SU abilities of giant)| Perc25, Init+4 | Darkvision 60’

Dolgrym and Basher double move toward the enemies.

Would someone move us 40’? Thanks.

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

You are hasted 40ft is a a single move.

Do you want to attack as well Dolgrym?

M Half-Elf Warsighted(Oracle)-8 | HP 40/64 | AC20 T11 FF19 CMD22 | F+4 R+4 W+7 (+2 vs enchant)| Init+2 Percept+4 low-light vision | Current effects:-2CON

Kohl runs forward to flank the ettin with Basher. (I think that may be a bit far even with haste, but if I can attack, let me know!)

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Persuiming we are using a more normal scale than the on this map, 5 or 10 ft, you can make it in one move. If the scale is still 25ft/square then it is a double.

Also, Sid could have hit the Ettin and the Bear so he would have done that.

Goliath Druid 17 | AC 29 w/Barkskin (32 v. Giants w/Barkskin)/14/24 | HP 212/212 | CMD 28 (32 v. Bull rush or trip) | F+18, R+10, W+19, (+2 v. Spells, SLAs, and poison) (+4 to saves v. SLA and SU abilities of giant)| Perc25, Init+4 | Darkvision 60’

Dolgrym and Basher move ahead and attack the closest enemy, inspired by the Haste Spell.

Attack with Haste 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 11 + 1 = 30
Damage 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Basher follows up.

Attack 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 11 + 1 = 32
Damage 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 6) + 5 = 17
—-
Possible Crit 1d20 + 11 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 11 + 1 = 28
Damage 2d6 + 5 ⇒ (6, 4) + 5 = 15

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Ignore the thing I said about hitting both. I got two games mixed up in my brain.

Dolgrym smashes into the ettin with his hammer, closely followed by Basher who tears great lumps out of the ettin's flesh.

The ettin swings his flails at Dolgrym in response.

flail: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (16) + 12 = 28

damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (5, 3) + 6 = 14

flail: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19

damage: 2d6 + 6 ⇒ (6, 3) + 6 = 15

Block 3 your actions

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Dice : 5d4 ⇒ (1, 2, 1, 2, 2) = 8

Ettin reflex: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18

cave bear reflex: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16

Both creatures are blinded.

Zavier, what are you doing

AC 32 107/107HP

I could not hit the bear without hitting the rest of the team. Sorry for the confusions.

Gallant will headbutt bear in the throat (dirty trick) to try and sicken the creature.

CMB : 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (13) + 13 = 26

Brawler (Beast Wrestler)/17 | HP 193/193| AC 22 T 16 FF 19 | F 17 R 16 W 13 | Per +21 | Init +8 | MaFe 11/11| KO 3/3 DC 26 | Combat Stamina 20/20

Zavier grapples the bear!
Grapple Haste: 1d20 + 22 ⇒ (3) + 22 = 25

Gallant headbutts the bear, Zavier fails to grapple it

Is there a save against the sickened?

AC 32 107/107HP

Nope with dirty trick they can use there move to remove the condition.

M Half-Elf Warsighted(Oracle)-8 | HP 40/64 | AC20 T11 FF19 CMD22 | F+4 R+4 W+7 (+2 vs enchant)| Init+2 Percept+4 low-light vision | Current effects:-2CON

sword flank haste PA bladedance : 1d20 + 12 + 2 + 1 - 2 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 12 + 2 + 1 - 2 + 1 = 22 dam: 3d6 + 13 ⇒ (3, 1, 1) + 13 = 18

Kohl strikes the Ettin and it falls, dead.

On to block 3

Zavier manuevers into a flank with the bear and tries to grapple it again!

Flank grapple haste: 1d20 + 22 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 22 + 4 + 1 = 31

Zavier manages to grapple the bear.

Sid, your action

AC 32 107/107HP

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (20) + 11 = 31
Damge: 1d6 + 13 ⇒ (4) + 13 = 17

Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (14) + 11 = 25
Damge: 1d6 + 13 ⇒ (5) + 13 = 18

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

Sid will let the strongs do the fighting.

"You guys got this."

Brawler (Beast Wrestler)/17 | HP 193/193| AC 22 T 16 FF 19 | F 17 R 16 W 13 | Per +21 | Init +8 | MaFe 11/11| KO 3/3 DC 26 | Combat Stamina 20/20

Ohh gallant has a crit!

15 AC:14 T:13 F:11 | HP 172/172 | CMD:18 | F:+10 R:+8 W:+13 | Init:+6 | Perc: +19, Dark

The second attack is his confirmation and damage roll. He is not a troll, gargoyle or the like right now so he only has one attack.
