”Everyone step back and I’ll see what happens,” the dwarf says, nodding at Sid’s idea. He wasn’t 100% convinced, but it was a good idea anyway. He stepped forward and touched them, starting with Trudd, moving on to Kols before finishing with Grunndinair.

Dolgrym you push the runes and the door opens. As the door releases some fresh air you find 2 bodies in the chamber you are in, the air releases some of the cobwebs around them. One is of an elderly dwarven woman. The other is a slightly younger dwarven woman with arachnid like eyes and basic spinnerets on her hands and feet.

Sid there is magic on the door, you can detect a transmutation aura.

"Well, that's rather disturbing." Kohl likes the burning idea, though we may want to make sure there's enough air in here that it won't choke us.


Sid you recognise the spell as the greater brand spell, however by opening the door correctly you have bypassed the trap that would set it off.

Moving into A5

The tightly spaced pillars that line the walls of this wide chamber gracefully suspend a vaulted ceiling, walls, ceiling and pillars alike have been cut from the surrounding stone. Centuries of dust coat every surface, and the air is stale. A large translucent panel is set in the centre of the floor. On either side, a stone door sits inside a low arch.

Did the order I touched the doors in make a difference? If so, it was just blind luck as I didn’t have any sort of plan.

A nauseating stench of filth fills this chamber. Various items of broken furniture are sloppily piled into curious arrangements throughout the room. Among the piles of wreckage are toppled statuettes of jade and serpentine, shards of clay and porcelain urns, and several crushed drinking steins. The western wall of the room bears several large cracks and a few small holes where it meets the floor.

Sid, you find a trap designed to fire a crossbow bolt if anyone enters too far into the room.

Once the trap is pointed out to him, Kohl moves forward carefully and tries to disable it. (casting guidance first)

Four statues of idealised dwarves stand against the walls of this chamber, next to stone fonts. A dusty film covers the fonts, and their basins are inscribed with Dwarven runes. A massive stone panel on the room's eastern wall bears a bas relief likeness of a dwarven warrior garbed in a suit of scale mail and wielding an oversized spear. The carved figure is unadorned with the exception of its right hand, which is leafed with silver.

Dolgrym and Sid you notice a small gap between the stone panel and the wall. It is clearly a secret door and it looks as if it has been deliberately left open.

Huge stone panels line the walls of this chamber, each depicting a carved scene, but all of the panels have been damaged or defaced in some way. Hundreds of footprints crisscross the dusty floor. Two doors exit the room to the south.

"Assuming the evil dwarves that were buried alive here continued to hate Steelhand I imagine they woud deface the tomb. If they are alive, undead or fused with spiders they could still be in here."


Dolgrym you recognise that all of the footprints are identical in size and shape.

Clearing away some of the dust you see there is a plaque that says "The Betrayal of Lokmorr."

Yep. Checking for traps and pausing just outside case anyone wants to buff.


Two wide alcoves flank the eastern portion of this room, the floor of which is inlaid with the symbol of an ornate warhammer. Each alcove contains a large iron brazier and is crammed with a variety of baubles and trinkets. Beyond the alcoves, the chamber narrows and a flight of wide steps climb to a vaulted recess. A great stone sarcophagus, its lid pushed to one side, lies in this space beneath a large translucent panel in the ceiling above. A smaller alcove stands on either side of the stone coffin. The northern alcove holds a five foot tall iron cage, its bars bent and twisted out of shape, while the southern alcove contains an elaborate iron candelabra covered with drippings of dried purple and red wax, which holds dozen of melted candle stubs.

Also in the room is a stocky dwarf with what looks like an iron hand
