With the goblin locked up in the first room, Booker scans the room for whatever loot the goblin was "guarding." He, perhaps surprisingly, finds a fair amount:

A incendiary grenade I, two shock grenades I, a stickybomb grenade I, two detonators, a tool kit (engineering kit), a fire extinguisher, and 500 UPBs.

Booker then turns to the door towards the bridge. Hack-it presses a couple of buttons and...

A laser blast streaks across the hall, striking the wall. Thank goodness for remote door opening!

The trap seems to have been crudely jury-rigged, and the blaster is ruined in the process. Thankfully though the room has a lot more to offer. A storeroom containing the crew’s personal mining and prospecting tools and other supplies, it now contains resinous shards of noqual 1 bulk, worth 500 credits. In addition, you find a disruptive fusion seal (5th), two mk 1 serums of healing, and three medpatches.

When the ysoki opens the door though, he gets more than he bargained for as a pair of akatas look up from a dead goblin and spy fresh meat.

Torin's mind crashes into the akata's. There's little left inside for it to fight with, and the beast drops abruptly afterward

For defeating another pair of akatas, the party receives 800 XP.

The party takes a cursory look around the room. There are a pair of cocoons here, replete with noqual. (Bulk 2, 1000 Credit total.)

you notice a flame pistol lying on the floor of the cargo hold, discarded by one of the Acreon’s crew apparently. The pistol’s petrol tank currently has 8 petrol remaining.

Hack-it opens the door. The Acreon’s port cargo hold contains much of the ship’s supplies—extra food and water stores, replacement air filters, spare parts, and the like. There is also a shipping container approximately 8 feet square, addressed to the Eoxian Embassy on Absalom Station...

The container is sealed and has no manifest detailing its contents...

So I JUST went back and reread the recent posts. I'll need to retcon a bit:

As Booker preps the crate for the return trip, he heads on over to the docking station. As he asks Hack-it to open the doors...

Hack-it finds that there's an override in place. A quick bit of investigating finds some really bad news.... The Hippocampus is gone. Somehow, for some reason, the ship's return autopilot was engaged.

As of this moment, you're stuck...

Surrounded by machinery, this long chamber stretches across the width of the ship. It looks like all of the Acreon’s main engineering functions can be operated from this room, which also contains a tech workshop expansion bay. Unfortunately, a pair of akatas have made this place their lair.

”Booker, can you explain to me what exactly happened to the Hippo? Didn’t you put the parking break on when you left?! I thought you were a pilot and knew how to park ships and stuff?! What are we supposed to do now? I can’t live here in this death trap for long! Those blue beasties are going to come and eat me up sooner or later. This pistol will help for a little while, but even these weapons are going to run out of charges. I mean, we don't have unlimited batteries." Gig goes into hushed tones at this moment. "I also have a secret to tell you. Please don’t tell the others, but I really don't know how to shoot these lasers.”

There's a chance flat-footed works differently. Until I get clarification I'm saying the akata is flat-footed, which means...

As Gig waxes aboutt he current situation, Hack-it opens the door. The vesk wastes no time, and dashes into combat. Dunk gets a lucky shot in on the akata, striking before it can ready itself for combat.

The akata bites back: Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11, but can't get through Dunk's armor.

The other charges across the room to gang up on Dunk: Bite: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9, but trips over a cable on the way!

Booker, hearing the report from Hack-it, issues a seemingly endless stream of expletives in several Pact Worlds languages. "What in the &$%@! #^@%!%##$ &*@!##% did you do?!"

After he calms down, he decides to move the crate back to where it was and have Hack-it the room. "Somethin's not right in there. Rest of the ship firs'." I take it all of the gear and noqual ore I put on the Hippo is now gone?

Booker ducks under the flying machine and shouts at Gig. "I don't have time to explain it to you!" The artillery laser thunders at an akata.

Attacking injured akata first; if that one is down, I will aim for the other.
