Stiehle makes a deceptive feint toward the trapped priest, then springs forward, between Taeon and the ooze in front of him to give himself a bit more room to maneuver as he spins around near the opening from where the creatures emerged.
He fires at the same target, hoping to end that particular threat and focus on the others that are closing in on the others. The operative notes that the ooze seems to react quickly to his actions, stifling his ability to catch the creature by surprise.

@Zoey- It is just the overall reaction from the fans that determine a small outcome at the end for you individually. You can earn through the booth visit, Using an skill during an action to be flashy and show off with a -4 penalty, or overall just being entertaining. I have been listing it out as the times come up.
Eevee tries a quick trick and fails miserably as the android nearly drops the azimuth pistol. Ash freely drops his pistol and draws a flaming doshko. Swinging, he surprisingly misses the slow moving ooze.
Taeon recognizes these oozes as autonomous synthetic fluid. They are immune to critical hits, paralysis, poison, polymorph, sleep, stunning, gaze abilities, illusions, visual effects, and flanking. This particular ooze is also resistant to acid based attacks and offer no intelligence.
Pulling out his autopistol and fires a bullet into the hallowed temple grounds. Leaping back Stiehle fires his membrane laser into the middle of the ooze. the gelatinous mass shudders and quivers but remains whole.

The young Starfinders obliterate the remaining ooze and the elder dwarf continues to reach up for aid. He calls out in the same strange language that Ylga did before, though he does seem to understand Aklo. He struggles but the rubble holds him fast.

The group slowly rests in short shifts as they dig the dwarf free from the rubble. He responds back in Aklo as well, with Stiehle translating the conversation forward.
Holsin grins as he is freed at last, he rubs at his sore and scuffed legs, bending them a few times to make sure they still function. Checking out alright he stands with a bit of help. "Thanks fer the help. The cave tremor stuck me here under an arch, then those things started leaking from the walls. I think they wanted to eat me! Luckily Torag saw fit to send you." Once able to move his arms, the dwarf touches one to his chest and his wounds begin closing up. The whole sight is a bit strange as Torag disappeared centuries ago.
"I am Holsin, the Marbleheart's chief priest. Torag often sees fit to bless the clan with what my sermons ask for. Evidently, he feels we must prove ourselves as well; or we would have already achieved our Quest." At this, his eyes light up. "But I feel the surface is near!"

Stiehle answers Diamond. "I agree that this is most strange. Ylga said that her people, the Marbleheart Clan, have been seeking the surface for about a hundred years or so - apparently when they received a sign from Torag. She said that the sign was a tremor that started her ancestors on their 'Quest for Sky'. It could be that the tremor they felt was the very first time these goblins began blasting holes in this moon."
His eyes flicker toward Taeon and Ash. "I believe that these dwarves will be dismayed by what they find on the surface, if they truly think that they are still on Golarion. Still, the priest was able to heal himself, so perhaps their god is somewhere still, just as they believe. And in any case, they deserve to know the truth of things and not live in the delusions of a past that is forever lost." Stiehle is more than willing to help these dwarves reach the surface. Witnessing the truth of their situation might be shocking, but the operative believes that hiding the truth from the dwarves would be doing them no favors. He recalls a similar moral quandry he and his team faced on Elytrio. Though he lost his argument there, Stiehle is determined that this clan be given the chance to learn the truth of what lies beyond their stone prison.
GM Tyranius
|
"Those vile orcs even channeled the surface's toxic air against us, and we are dwindling in numbers. Torag has been angry. I must take your presence as renewed hope, if for no other reason but to keep my flock going." A bit less sad-looking now, he straightens up and leads you towards the entrance.
Exiting the entrance that was once blocked by the boulder you are greeted by a small company of dwarves led by Ylga. She and Holsin share a quick and relieved hug. "That you are here, that you helped both of us and by extension our clan, is no coincidence," the latter intones. It seems he's part talking to the team, part evangelizing to his clan. "You have been sent by divine providence to help; it is not infringement of the Quest to call upon you once more. If we are to best this toxin, we need someone else to brave it and rout the orcs on the other side."
Wazasha, who had been directing the camera crew to film confused dwarven bystanders, sidles over to Taeon and Eevee. "How about an interview?" At this, the hexapodal robot, which was drawing enough strange looks as is, expands its booth bubble. One dwarf roars in alarm and charges at the robot with an archaic axe. The axe flies through the transparent field and strikes an opposite wall; the bot whirs dejectedly as it shudders from the effect.
Stiehle Darkwing
|
Stiehle nods, glancing at the others. "We can assist you in this. Where is the toxic air you speak of? And can you heal those of us that have been injured? If there are savage orcs to battle, we had best be at full strength."
Taeon Dolma
|
Taeon nods to Wazasha. "Of course!"
When he gets into the booth bubble, he laughs at the dwarf's reaction. "Looks like they've never seen studio equipment before. What would you like to discuss?"
GM Tyranius
|
Wazasha steers you into the transparent bubble, blocking out all sound. You can still see beyond it. Two chairs pop up from the booth's floor, and once everything is presentable, the ghast fires away. After each question comes another, and for all the Pact Worlds to see!
"Do you trust the dwarves?"
"That was a tough fight. Why didn’t your friends give you a
chance to shine?"
"You’ve been really polite around Stiehle. How do you really feel?"
While answering you can perform a skill check to earn more Fan Favor. The skill must match the PC’s persona and responses, such as a Charisma-based Profession check for a bubbly aspiring actor, a Sense Motive check for an introspective wallflower, or a Diplomacy check for a wisecracking joker.
"We can assist you in this. Where is the toxic air you speak of? And can you heal those of us that have been injured? If there are savage orcs to battle, we had best be at full strength."
"If the dwarves are to survive and reach the surface—" Holsin says "- We’re so close—someone able to survive the poisons must travel into the deadly fog and clear the tunnels."
From what you can tell, this gas isn't anything basic environmental protections can't keep out.
Stiehle Darkwing
|
Stiehle looks a bit perplexed. "The way to the surface lies behind us so far I am aware, we have just come from there. Are there more of your clan beyond this deadly fog that need to get through? Tell me all you can about it."
The operative asks for any details the dwarves can relate about the toxic fumes. Perhaps it is some sort of a defense mechanism protecting something in this ancient, artificial satellite...
I'm a little confused as to where these toxic fumes are in relation to ourselves at the moment. Ahead of us? Or did it get behind us? I was thinking our route back to the surface was clear, so the dwarves could just accompany us back the way we came.
GM Tyranius
|
The Toxic fumes are further into the False Moon as your overall goal was to explore more of the Salvation's End.
Taeon Dolma
|
Taeon leans back in his chair and smiles at the camera. "Good questions. As for the dwarves, I don't think we fully trust them yet, though they've given us little reason to doubt them. Even if they are honest, though we need to watch out. They seem unaware of the real composition of their home and showing them may have unintended impact to their culture. Who knows how they'll respond?"
Taeon chuckles at the thought of 'shining in a fight'. "I'm a doctor, at times a combat medic, other times a counselor. If I'm shining in a fight, then people are hurt. I'd prefer not to have to be in that position."
He smiles and turns to look at Stiehle for a moment. "You looking for drama? Stiehle is a bit of a mystery. Starfinders have to work with all sort of people when they're on a mission. He's very focused on his objective, and strikes me at the type not to let anything get in his way. As serious as he is, I wouldn't be surprised if he was trying to live up to a legacy. Perhaps trying to prove himself to his father or grandfather. "

Stiehle grins at the dwarven priest. "Your powers will be most welcome. Join us, and we will do what we can to help you and your people in this quest." The operative touches a couple of slim buttons on his tempweave armor, sealing himself in a protective environment very similar to that employed by Holsin as a transparent helmet erupts from the neck area of the armor, completely covering his head and a slight hissing sound is heard as the rest of his armor seals itself up completely, protecting Stiehle from hazardous atmosphere.
Use a standard action to activate the environmental protection of my armor.

Not sure where Eevee is but will push on. He can place the booth in his next post.
Taeon seems to do favorably well in the booth as he gains nearly a thousand followers on his twitter page.

The tunnels extend only another mile up, and the you can reach the uppermost cavern after about 90 minutes of travel. After traveling half that distance, the air becomes visibly cloudy, and by the time you reach the cavern from the north, the toxic gas obscures all distant objects and terrain, giving the caverns a spooky and menacing ambiance.
Anyone not wearing armor or activating their armor's environmental protection? I am just assuming everyone is cause why not.
There are a bunch of blunted stalagmites and patches of floor that have a tiled metal texture. The rest, which appears as perfectly normal rock, feels artificial but still sturdy. A rough-hewn bridge extends across a pit 20 feet deep. The whole area is also flooded with blue-tinted mist, useless against your armor but making sight difficult. It seems like shadows are moving about in it....

Taeon smiles at the dwarf and tries to help him along as they continue their climb. He activates his armor's atmospheric controls as they see the cloudy air appear. He squints towards the bridge and the shadows that move around. "Looks like something or someone is up ahead. At the very least that bridge looks like a very long fall."

Zoey sees the shapes in the blue (toxic?) mist, and moves her finger in front of her lips, making an almost-silent sssh. She hunches and moves behind the stalagmites, drawing out her pistol. Before she disappears into the mist, she makes an 'ok' sign at the camera.

"I think they're earnest if that's what you mean. Culturely speaking Dwarves can be duplicitous as anyone else, but as a whole, this group seems to be naive, but honest. I feel a little built of guilt about the bubble that we're going to burst."

The entire encounter area is flooded with blue-tinted toxic gas that reduces visibility. Any creature between 10–60 feet away from an enemy has concealment, and creatures more than 60 feet away have total concealment. The gas is also highly poisonous. However, anyone wearing armor can easily activate the suit’s environmental protections to ignore the inhaled poison.
One of the Exhaust Drinker tribe’s greatest minds is Big Genius Polbak, an extraordinary engineer who has browbeaten many of his subordinates into giving him the choicest salvaged parts. With these he has created an astonishing suit of powered armor that has only strengthened his place in the tribe’s hierarchy. Hearing you coming across the bridge the goblins quickly fan out, drawing junkblasters and a mish mosh of assorted weaponry as they duck behind the stalagmites for a surprise attack.
