It's a penalty so I think we just have to wait for it to wear off.

Carrington feebily holds her hand up. It seems her affliction is non existent within the Dream Realm. "Save your healing. Thanks again for saving my life."
"Say, Carrington, what can you tell us about that thing old bones there was so distracted by. Hope you don't mind us putting the fate of the world above yours. Seems small minded of us, I'm sure."
Carrington shakily stands. "Sally seems to be what is known as a Night Hag. That stone is what is known as a heartstone. The magic within is fueled by the hag's spirit and proximity. Though with her death the stone will lose it's magic within the day." She goes about explaining the magical properties. The heartstone instantly cures any disease contracted by the holder. In addition, a heartstone provides a +2 resistance bonus on all saving throws
"You should hurry before it is too late. I will see you upon your return and protect you where I can help." Carrington takes a moment, forcing herself awake as she fades back into the Material Realm.
Nestled in Sally’s tattered gown is one blank and unused waxen image and another one formed in a disturbing approximation of Madame Carrington.

"Well, I don't feel well."
Grinner gets the stone.
"I feel a little better now. I would appreciate being able to carry it. I'm the sickly type."

Terry slowly moves up the stairs that creak and moan with each board pressed.
The scent of stale smoke permeates this crossroads of stairwells and hallways. A moth-eaten rug stretches before a dormant fireplace surrounded by a beautifully carved mantle, and a magnificently carved bar stocked with hundreds of rare liqueurs stands along the stony face of the Old Wall to the west. A heavily adorned staircase in the room’s northeast corner descends into darkness below.
Though what constituted sin and vice changed greatly over generations of the Caligaro family, their appetite for rare intoxicants has remained consistent. This barroom holds hundreds of bottles of rare liqueurs from across Golarion, complete with all of the specialized and cultural serving implements designed to accompany their consumption.
Down the hallway the preserved heads, antlers, and bodies of hundreds of
animals hang lifelessly on the walls of this hallway of trophies. Dark, wood-paneled walls reflect the warm glow of a single candle set on a small pedestal in the center of the hallway. The candle casts its soft light on a multitude of trophies: a large fire pelt rug covering the floor, numerous deer heads and antlers, looming bears, an eagle posed in flight, and the mounted heads of an aurochs, a griffon, and a manticore.
Looking back at the bar Terry suddenly notices a man that resembles Nahum. Nahum is a frightening creature, handsome and terrible, his features shifting to emphasize his emotions. Shadows dance around his form, coalescing into leering arrangements as if he were haunted by incorporeal creatures. Light seems to always fall short of reaching him. He pours a drink a takes a small sip. "I see you wish to deliver the Paginarum Lethargica and Clavis Somnus to me personally. That is wise. Set them on the bar and you shall leave with your life."
Something small and dark skitters away in the shadows and always seems to move just as the light is about to reach it. Out of the corner of his eye Terry sees shadows reaching for him.

"My plans? You make me sound like some sort of monster." He pours another drink and slides it in Terry's direction.
"With the Paginarum Lethargica and Clavis Somnus I would be able to gain complete control of this Dreamstone, thus stabilizing the Dream Realm. Only then will I bring Mog-Lothar down from below. I will bargain for immortality to use the Dream Realm to free Mog-Lothar from it's prison so it may attain Godhood!" Nahum explains calmly and only grips his glass further a the mention of Myra.
Grinner the Grippli
"I'm not sure we want Mog-Lothar here."
Terry PBP
"Yea, from what I read, she is not a fan of yours. Did she REALLY sick that spider girl Myra on you? Dang! I saw what she did to some of those other guys and I'd hate to be on her bad side. I REALLY think you should reconsider your idea. Though eternal life is quite a carrot, I have to admit. How long have you lived already, may I ask?"
Terry takes the drink and eyes it suspiciously yet longingly, then puts it down.
"I think I'll wait to see whether we can work together nicely before I drink this, OK?"
GM Tyranius
|
Nahum frowns at the route the conversation is turning. "Myra did what she thought she must at the time. Now help me fix this Dream Realm. You see how bad it is. It needs to be fixed." He holds his hands out for the requested items.
Pregen - PatheticWretch
Prior to this room: Does the magic stone happen to heal my -4 Str if I touch it?
Grimnir smirks through his beard as they talk to Nahum.
"Ye've some grand ideas, lad," the dwarf says. "Which will nae come ta fruition. Now 'elp us or get outta th' way."
Terry PBP
"He's not very diplomatic. Perhaps you could tell us what your plans are? They may coincide with our own. Seems like we BOTH want this mess fixed."
Please review your icon placement. I updated your positions as best I could based on your posts. Some, like for Grinner I had to make assumptions for. Also note that you will have to use the scrollbar within the slide itself to see th enew room. I failed to notice that and could not figure out where the map was.

@Grimnir- Unfortunately not since it is not a disease.
Haha yea sorry second floor is down below.
Nahum begins to move around the bar as he speaks calmly, His voice slightly rising in irritation. "Enough games already. Give me he items so I can set this right and uproot the sprouting seeds of betrayal"
The floor boards loosen as their nails rise into the air and slowly drop to the ground. The long wooden boards snake up and reach around each of your ankles as the shadows grasp at your bodies like some sort of black tentacle.
Grapple vs All: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (15) + 15 = 30

Grinner healed himself for HP when he healed his Con damage earlier so should be in better shape.
"You clearly are mental!"

The grapple attempt is from the spell black tentacles.
@Grinner- You took out 4 of your six Con damage and only healed yourself for 32 HP. You were at 7 hp which brought you to 39. Getting the Con damage healed doesn't heal the lost HP. You can retcon the healing if you need to.
@Terry-Whatever personal buffs you had going during Sally should still be fine. Haste will have ended by now.
Pregen - PatheticWretch
Grimnir and his stone servant both try to escape the grappling tentacles.
CMB stone servant: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
CMB grimnir: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (19) + 12 = 31

Terry will attempt to use a spell scar to hit him with a magic missile if he attempts a standard action.
concentration: 1d20 + 7 + 2 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 7 + 2 + 4 = 16
Well, with that roll it pretty much didn't matter WHAT he tried.
"Rather abrupt, wasn't that? We could have tried to work things out, but NOOOoooOOO! You had to attack us."
His minor tirade is interrupted by grunts and gasps as he tries unsuccessfully to free himself enough to do something.
Grinner the Grippli
Hrm, not used to that interpretation of restoring Con and HP. I don't have a problem with it at all though (and don't see anything against it) so I'm fine with just the retcon.
Cure Light Wounds (x3): 3d8 + 3 ⇒ (4, 3, 4) + 3 = 14 - Should be full before the grapple.

Grimnir's sone servant remains trapped as Grimnir, kicks a board loose, freeing himself.
Will save DC 19: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Terry tries some form of a spell but the pain in his legs causes him to botch it and sparks fly from his fingertips to ill effect.
Alongside Grimnir Gerard is also able to break free from the boards as they continue to grapple and pinch off the groups legs.
Maintain Grapple: 1d20 + 15 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 15 + 5 = 28
Damage: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Nahum steps back into the shadows, vanishing from sight as his voice seems to carry with an unholy and unearthly presence. "If you wish to continue this further I will be waiting for you upstairs. If you indeed wish to end this leave the book and key on the bar and leave at once. The choice is yours."
The spell is still in effect. Though it doesn't seem to be trying to re-grapple Grimnir and Gerard.

Note: Terry's spell did not even go off. He fai9led his concentration roll and the spell scar (which acts like a scroll) was not activated. No sparks. No nothin' but a lot of unprintable verbiage.

The stone servant tries to escape, but can't quite do it. Is this something we can aid?

GM Tyranius

Yea you can aid the escape check.
Grimnir's stone servant remains trapped as the boards wrap around it's body while Grimnir tries to help.
Grinner just stops resisting but it only allows the baords to squeeze tighter.
Terry finally breaks free from the boards and draws his wand healing a sall portion of the injuries.
Gerard- You didn't take any damage except Temp Hp which can't be restored with the wand.
Gerard draws his wand of healing as the boards continue to crush Grinner and the earth elemental.

That will free Grinner leaving just the stone servant trapped.
Pregen - PatheticWretch
It takes a few seconds to free the stone servant, but eventually they get it freed, too.
"Le's heal up afore we continue," Grimnir suggests.
