You have not rested between then as after the fight with the Jangly Man it has only been a few hours trip down to this planet. Zane and Draka used a few Resolve points during the starship combat as well.

Eventually, the path through the harsh jungle turns into the remains of a battered road leading to a large structure. As you approach, they can easily see the front doors of the building have been blown inward by some explosive force. This building is the control center for the entire megastructure.

The control center is a bunker-like building constructed of a kishalee alloy that resists deterioration and the scourge of the elements. Even so, the jungle plants festoon nearly every exterior surface, and the occasional curious jubsnuth and other alien creatures have gnawed on the building’s corners. Most of the building is still functional, though the thuggish and destructive Desperate Hunger cultists did some damage as they commandeered the place.

More of the jungle has been scorched here, most likely the result of a large explosion that has blasted a hole through the wall of a one-story building (Or Vetch's bombardment). Sounds of cruel laughter can be heard from inside.

Draka carries along her crab-like leg in one hand as she gnaws down on it. It is definitely filled with succulent meat within. By far the thickest crab-leg she has ever eaten.

She watches Abe peek into the blast hole. The remains of a large double door lies broken on the floor, while a couple of bizarre-looking chairs or couches sit mangled against the north wall. Two short sets of steps lead up to a raised section of the room, from which a double door exits to the north. A smaller door stands in the southeast corner.

This room served as a lobby and security checkpoint when living kishalee still used this facility. This area sat unused for thousands of years, and a thick layer of dust covers much of the floor, disturbed only by the Devourer cultists’ passing. Three of the Desperate Hunger cultists captured a velsasha—a furry, three-legged beast the size of a small dog with a spherical head on a skinny neck—that wandered curiously up to the hole in the control center. They are now in the process of teasing and torturing their captive on the far side of the room. They laugh and shout cruelly as they batter the creature, and they are so focused on their morbid entertainment they don’t notice Abe's approach.

"Hit it 'gin" One laughs viciously.
"Can we rip it's leg off yet?"
"Not 'et. We feed it to the shadow later." Two of them begin to bicker.

Zane's gonna block their bullets and lasers!

Zane wants to run right in there and bash brains. But he looks to Dash for the attack plan.
Blitz package? Offshore fireswamp? Dig-Doug? or Omaha?

Zane ask Coach for which attack plan.
Funny reads out there about Payton Manning and his use of the word "Omaha" when he was calling audibles.

The cultists reach down to torture the small, furry velsasha when suddenly they slow to a crawl. Turning in dramatic slow motion, which Zane and Draka quickly realize they can use for Blood and Fury, the cultists receive a laser blast and freezing cold chemicals right to the chest and face. "Whaaa...?"

Most of the group rushes in, Draka moving behind a flipped table for a bit of cover as Vetch and Abe lay down a bit of covering fire. Most of the lasers hit the cultist, severely wounding the deranged man.

"Yes! More fun. We can all find death together!" The cultist giggles with glee as all three draw grenades, tossing them all over the room.

One rolls just past Draka as it catches nearly everyone in the room.

Her pointy teeth glisten with saliva as she brings the hammer down on the green cultist. "Put fire out!" She commands, attempting to bonk the cultist over the head.

Zane sees them step back and start launching grenades.
See now, what a waste of nice grenades. Those beauties on the hands of a bunch of scrubs like you'z is jut a travesty.
Think about how unfit you are as you lie on the ground bleeding out.

"Hey, watch out there's a space-dog in here you f@#$ing idiots!" He shouts at the cultists.

Bringing his rifle to hand, he pops off a shot at the idiot in blue.

Adjusted most of your attacks to blue as green was killed.

The wounded velsasha cowers in the corner, looking for a safe path to run for safety just as the grenades explode all around the room, leaving it little wiggle room.

Dash shoulders his sniper rifle, sniping the blue idiot. The bullet cracks deep into the man's armor, turning a good portion of it to dust internally.

Meanwhile the cultists are a bit shocked as their grenades had absolutely no effect on the large Blitzball player. His imposing form walks through the flames with little worry. Boingo caves the cultists smiling face in as teeth scatter across the floor.

Vetch's laser sears right through the blue haired cultists' fingers, burning a trio of them right off.

The flames of the grenade flicker across Messalina's metallic surface and quickly go out as small coolant suppressors snuff the oxygen from the fire. The coolant reaches out, injuring the cultists below. Draka smash! -es her hammer, slamming the cultists into the wall. He holds his mangled hand out. "Wait a minute...We was jest looking to have a bit of fun." The cultist draws another grenade, cooking it off in his own, mangled hand in front of Draka as he drops it at his feet. Blue Provoke from Draka.

”Never mind!” Dash laughs after Zane swings his own named blade. ”I forgot that we have Boingo, Bringer of the Dead Man’s Party.”

Dash fires a shot right into the cultist's gut. He doubles over in pain, though still has a smile streaked across his face. "Death feels...wonderful." The Zane cuts him off as Boingo breaks both halves of his jaw.

Vetch burns a couple holes into the other cultist's arm. Abe's attacks miss by a wide margin. Messalina showers a cloud of coolant over the wounded cultist

Both cultists drop in a flurry of exchanged fire. As the smoke clears the velsasha lies, hunched over, whimpering in the corner. It looks wounded and scared.

Three ancient kishalee hoverbikes, once used by the ancients scientists to get from dwellings long since crumbled to ruins, lean against the wall in one corner of the room. Two of them are still operational, but the third was critically damaged by the explosion that allowed the cultists access to the control center. Within the closet on the southeast side of the room is a stand with four space suits constructed for kishalee anatomy.

DC 25 Perception:
A secret compartment behind the stand holds three temporal disruption grenades and a minor disruption pistol.


Abe takes a deep breath and straightens up. "You know, the rapid fire option on this thing is really acting up. I don't think I hit once after the first shot!"

He checks over Messalina and feels the damage is light enough to let slide for now. He sends her back in the air for reconnaissance, as he searches the room with the others.

Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25

As he moves behind the stand, he reaches down and pops a hidden panel, "What do we have here?"

He pulls out three temporal disruption grenades and a minor disruption pistol. "You want the grenades Vetch?"

Good find ABE. The Team should get in formation and prep to move through these doors into the inner sanctum.

He picks up the sword that has the name Oculus. He looks at it and slides it into his glove for keeping right now. He'll see how he likes it compared to Boingo later.
He also likes those speeder bikes. Those would be great to have on the Sun Maiden for some joy-ridding once this episode of Blood and Fury is taped. Draka, you make the team work long filming hours.

    Zane sheds one of the bodies of their GolemForged Armor. He moves the Tech upgrades and claims the Haste Circuit to upgrade his new armor. He likes the heavy feel and protection it affords. A big upgrade over his last armor. While it slows him a bit with it's bulk, he hopes the haste circuit will be a tactical offset.
    The Zane's already told you'z about how good that GolemForged shiznit is.

    Seeing the new Golemforged Plating and Relics the chat of Blood and Fury begins to go insane as notifications begin piling in faster than they can be responded to. Everything from offers for the hoverbikes, an argument that they belong in a museum, conspiracy theories to all kinds of sexual enlargement and dysfunction tablets.

    Draka immediately recognizes the golemforged plating III, as she is already wearing a suit - her's with one upgrade already: jump jets.

    "Draka take pretty BBQ sticker." The vesk reaches out to claim one of the sintered longswords. "No good for smashing, but perfect for campfires. Never know when have s'mores."

    On her com unit, the vesk takes time to sticky or comment on a handful of messages. Her red painted claw scrolls down the list of comments. She pins one of the comments about her conquering in a sunhat and shades at the top of the feed.

    Vetch takes a break in the action to battery-up his new decimator pistol, moving over the appropriate attachments and making room for it in his holster. He tosses his old liquidator into the pile with the new ones the team found.

    "Okay, this pistol might be better," Vetch comments to himself, stretching the toes that he can feel but doesn't actually have. "Zane, you're looking pretty good there. Draka, you missed some blood...it's on your back. You're gunna wanna get your back to the camera, your fans probably missed that. It's a good look. Might catch on. You should probably spacetrademark bloodback tats, you know?"

    ”Finally, we find something fun!” Dash exclaims as he hops aboard one of the hover bikes. ”This one is not for sale. Easy-Bay and Absalom Prime can suck a Kish d!ck.”

    When Abe turns up the antique pistol he wants to laugh at the old tech, but one test shot later and he’s claiming that too.


    "Yeah, those hover bikes definitely should stay with us. I'm sure I can keep them going but we're going to need some parts. Might be able to fix up the third too - won't know until I try."

    (He'll check it out thoroughly when he gets a chance. How much to bring it ship-shape with the others - if it's even possible? I figure it's not enough for all of us, but it's a start, and very cool.)

    Abe thinks with quite a bit of time and plenty of spare parts he may get the bike going once again. Though it will take an extensive amount of rigging to it's system.

    Stepping near the door to the north, the set of double doors slides open, revealing a long corridor. This corridor is the spine of the control center, connecting the various chambers in the building. Except for a few smears of grease and tracks in the dust, it is relatively free from the predations of the Desperate Hunger cultists.

    The velsasha takes a couple more steps into the corner with another whimper as it begins to lick it's wounds, staying well out of your path.

    Vetch nods at Draka, slinking under cover with his new pistol ready.

    ”Yes, Draka, let’s see what is inside,” Vetch agrees. For his part, he looks for recent tracks and dangers with his ratty darkvision.

    Abe piles all the useful parts together with the other bikes, and breaks out the Nullspace Chamber (50 bulk of stuff in a 6' cube). He gathers as many of the useful parts as possible, quickly, and piles them on the platform before collapsing it to depart.

    "Someone should heal that velsasha yeah? Maybe when we rest next if it's still around." he smiles at the creature though he's not sure how to communicate with it.

    Shrugging, he checks his battery supply, and generally readies for the next chamber.

    As Draka passes through the hallway Vetch notices several sets of prints that have gone up and down the corridor. Of which he picks out a pair of Ysoki prints in the mix.

    Draka pushes the door open to what appears to be a computer lab. This large chamber is lit only by the bluish glow of a single monitor across from the southern door. The other computer consoles that line the walls are dark. A circular platform of some unknown technology is affixed to the floor in the center of the room. The view outside a window in the western wall is completely obscured by thick jungle foliage.

    "What kind of tech is that, Abe?" Vetch asks someone who might know more than he.

    Vetch keeps an eye out, thinking about those ysoki ratprints.


    Abe's eyes flicker with the screen as he sees a working monitor. He checks first to see if it's been booby-trapped.

    Then he sits down and starts to work. He'll cast Comprehend Languages if necessary to understand what he's looking at.

    Draka leans back the jungle to her is similar to a warm beach with lapping waves to a human. Abe looks over the impressive center console. as he hacks into it a harsh klaxon alarm quickly sounds throughout the structure. Though thanks to his sharp mind it only lasts a brief moment before he cuts the wire to the alarm.

    The platform near the center of the room flickers to life as a luminescent holographic projection manifests above it. Within seconds the light coalesces into a tall, regal humanoid form that resembles the images of the ancient kishalee found on Istamak. The figure is dressed in garb that appears to be a mixture of military and scientific outfits that seems to disappear into the glow of the circular dais at the figure’s feet.

    The holographic figure stretches out an arm and starts speaking strange, spidery syllables with the rapidity of purpose, though her expression remains fixed and stoic.

    Though Abe and Zane understand the Kish language, most of the group does not. Abe recognizes that the figure is greeting you, though with some urgency. The group shows signs of consternation that they can’t understand her and you begin to feel a slight tingling behind your eyes as your minds are probed. After a moment, an audio filter kicks in, and the ancient Kishalee continues in Common.

    “He has gone mad. His programming had degenerated and he kept raving about something called the Star-Eater. I confined him due to these critical errors, but now he is out, and I am in here! He and those who helped him must be stopped.” There is a brief pause. “From your attire, I assumed you weren’t allied with those cruel marauders. Please tell me you aren’t with them.”
