The patchwork of rerouted wires would take even an expert more time than you have to reverse-engineer. you recognize the futility of attempting to reroute power using the existing wires.

As for your weapon battery, I don't want to hint at too much as this is a bit of a puzzle. :)

A very tough fight indeed! With only 2 RP and 1 HP left, Aegis-9's next turn may very likely be his last. I did say I was prepared for him to die a hero and it would be like him to go out sacrificing himself for his comrades. (However, I'd rather not as I'd like to play him again).

Still, I can't imagine the creature has too much HP left itself, so I think we can still win.

I had in my mind that the force batons were only doing 1/2 damage. Admittedly, it may simply been a conclusion that Aegis-9 jumped to (and not the first wild theory he had that turned out to be wrong). In any event, he switched to the pulsecaster because he knew that energy affected the creature and that he could (in theory) stay out of the reach of its claws when he used it.

Aegis-9 could use a move to get to the baton he dropped and pick it up, but that would be his whole turn and if he is attacked before the next turn, he is likely dead.

Assuming Gunnz still has the other baton, I think she could use her move to pass it Aegis-9 and then he could move and attack, but then Gunnz can't attack this turn as she'd have to spend another move action just to get into position. If Aegis-9 misses or does insufficient damage, he is likely dead.

We can't push it out of the ship. I can't think of a way to get it behind a force-field. Catchy had an interesting idea of powering up Aegis-9, but since the android has some organic parts, I'm not sure that that that would work, either, (maybe in a home game, but most likely not SFS rules).

I don't want to delay the game, but does anyone else have any thoughts? Otherwise, Aegis-9 is going to do his thing, go in full "Big Damn Hero"-style, and fight until the last bit of his spark leaves his technoframe.

Gunnz can fire from anywhere. I could toss Aegis the force baton she has.

Remember though, 0hp is not death in Starfinder, dying is a little more complex than that. You get to use your RP.

I had a look at harrowing fire, but it basically gives me a 50% chance of giving a +2 to hit (i.e 10% better chance of hitting). This translates to roughly a 5% increase in damage, which is pretty negligable at our level.

Sadly I suspect I'm better off trying to blast it directly.

I defer to your math skills as they are no doubt superior to mine. I was just trying to think of other possible solutions that we haven't tried.

As for the players, I really enjoyed all the role play and team work. I am honestly sad to see this group break up. It would be awesome to get the team back together sometime!

@Catchy- During Downtime, you can attempt one trained Profession check to earn extra money. So you would have to have skill ranks in Profession (Mathematician) in your case. Make a normal D20 roll with the modifier and gain double the credits of your roll.
