Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map |

Edward finds himself held fast by the aberration!

The flying woman casts a spell, and a towering wall of ice appears across the opening to the glade! It is fifteen feet high and effectively separates Vojtek and Davosh from the rest of the party!

The loathsome creature grappling Edward seeks to exert its control!
maintain grapple: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 13 Fail!

As a Free action, it continues to gibber (Will saves to those who have NOT already succeeded), then (as another Free action) it emits a stream of acidic spittle at Edward! This will provoke from Edward, if he has a weapon in hand - a successful hit will decrease the ranged touch attack by the damage dealt!
ranged touch: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

The spittle flies into Edward's eyes and he needs to make a DC 18 Fort save to avoid being blinded for rounds: 1d4 ⇒ 3! pending a really really good AoO

Vojtek attacks Davosh in his confusion!
DC 13 Will save at end of Vojtek's round: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11 Sorry, V. But he remains befuddled!

Kappi (blind) is up! At the end of his round, Kappi can make a DC 17 Will save to try and shake off the glitterdust!

Round 3

Still furiously rubbing his eyes and trying to see, Kappi thinks he maybe can make out the blurry figure of the flying witch. He really really hopes its not Davosh using his strange witch flying powers. He more or less blindly throws a javelin.

Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map |

Lemures should've made an AoO on Kappi, but meh. You guys are probably in enough trouble. ;-)

Kappi's javelin sails wide of the flying witch!

The disgusting extraplanar creatures do a five-foot-step dance around Ali and attack!

Red lemure claw 1: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 2 = 3
dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Red lemure claw 2: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (20) + 2 = 22

dmg: 1d4 ⇒ 3
White lemure claw 2: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23

And a familiar face appears just then, which those who can see recognize as Radosek Pavril from the Pale Tower! His spell finishes as Kappi is affected by an ill omen! (Also by ill omen!)

Davosh!

The Hut's legs, free to move once more, rear back as if to strike Edward! Round 6

For a moment the lad considers maneuvering around to set up a flank on the hideous creature, but decides it would be for naught as there are eyes all over the thing... He steps away and trusts Ali and Vojtek to kill it to death.
Though its a little awkward targeting the flying witch the lad hurls a javelin at her.

POINT OF ORDER: on 5/12 in this battle (!!!) Ali cast Mirror Image, resulting in 5 images. Unless the Mouther can ignore them, any of the hits--most importantly, the grapple one--needs to roll to determine if it hit an image. Thank you.

Five-star Hound of Tindalos. Er, GM. Whatever. | RoW Encounter Map |

Ali was hit by the lemures too. That means there's quite a rewind to do here. :-P

For brevity's sake, I'll rule that the two lemure hits popped images (Ali gets 5 hp back).

Then the mouther's 17 popped another. So two images left by bite #3.
    Ali is 1: 1d3 ⇒ 3

So one image left. Grab attempt as bite #4 would hit, so...
    Ali is 1: 1d2 ⇒ 2

So all images gone by bite #5 (bite #4 roll above). That hits, and bite #5's roll would grapple, meaning bite #6 is against grappled AC. Total of three points from the gibbering mouther and Ali is (still) grappled. Nyah nyah nyah! ;-)

Kappi's javelin deflects off some unseen source surrounding the witch!

    Vojtek!

Sorry, I checked the game real quick on my phone while I was at work. Must have missed that.

    Round the Sixth

Vojtek unleashes a full assault on the creature before him, even as he sidesteps a bit (northeast 5') to make some room for Kappi to join the fray.

  • Great Axe First Attack: 1d20 + 13 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 13 - 2 = 17 for Damage: 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14

  • Great Axe Second Attack: 1d20 + 8 - 2 ⇒ (7) + 8 - 2 = 13 for Damage: 1d12 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10 and

  • Wartooth Gnash: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 for Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7.

Vojtek's furious foray is for naught, which only serves to make him more angry!

Radosek flies away from the elemental, but is unable to escape and succumbs to it! (Eventually, as he can't outfly it and will be unable to outlast it rounds-wise.) I'll rule that those two come off the board; Radosek will fall to the elemental, so you can find his body, and that the elemental will be close to out of time and thus will return home after finishing off Radosek.

Davosh (end of Round 6), Ali, and Edward (top of Round 7) are up!

Davosh tries to return the hex favor! He'll have to move to do so — hexes have a 30 foot range, by and large — so no pearl of power this time around.

    grapple: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
It fails, and cannot engulf Ali! All the mouther's mouths frown at the same time!

Nazhena expels a flurry of invective at Edward, calling him every unsavory name she can muster, as she draws a scroll! You will pay for your insolence, insects! THIS IS NOT OVER!
She uses the scroll and vanishes!

A heartbeat later, the aberration does the same, its time expired!

It was a scroll, so Davosh can't be sure; but it certainly appears to have been a teleport effect.
