I mean, to me they weren't really a famous football team. They were guests at my hotel, and like ANY guest at my hotel, I was gonna give 100% to make sure they had a good stay. That's...reassuring? On the other hand, even after all the stops are pulled out bad luck can still make a TPK.
Oh yeah. I think in 40 years of GMing, I've presided over perhaps five or six TPK's. Poor player choices often contributed, but were never the actual reason. TPK's are almost always the result of a random run of bad luck.
Anyway, I think you guys can handle this.
