Pulling out his spear, Mortin trudges past the orange gobling to flank (provoking).

Fijeet continues inspiring and steps into flank before punching green goblin.

"Damn, they are so slippery..." Filk curses, as the goblins have easily dodging all the rocks he has been throwing.

"Okay, let's try something else... See if you can dodge my lucky coin!"

Filk grabs a silver piece from his pocket, and keeps it on his open palm. From there, the coin shoots like a bullet towards the purple goblin.

Valerka reaches out to touch the green goblin, and does. As she does, she unleashes arcane energies, which fail to find a hold in the goblin.

Mortin walks casually around orange, who sort of swats at him with his short sword, almost dropping it. He then proceeds to put his spear through the goblin's left eye socket. The goblin falls to the ground, bleeding out.

Again, both FiJeet and Filk fail to strike their respective targets.

"Chase the baby, catch the pup,
bonk the head to shut it up.
Bones be cracked. Flesh be stewed.
We be goblins! You be food!"

The green goblin seems to have taken offense at the spell that Valerka cast on him, but it seems that perhaps it had more affect than she thought, as his weak swing misses her.

Purple then attacks Atrix, clearly trying to kill instead of be killed. He hits the slayer cleanly, leaving a painful wound in her left thigh.

Party is up!

Mortin lets out a grumble at his dirty spear, then looks at the remaining enemies.

"Why are they so far away?!" he grumbles as he trudges another twenty feet. "Atrix... help me with this."

Mortin readies his spear for a flank.

Valerka moves back again, stopping to kneel over one of the fallen Goblins, "This won't hurt...you're already unconscious", she whispers quietly.

Placing her palms over the Goblin, the body begins to glow with a gentle green hue while wisps on energy flow into Valerka's fingertips. The body shudders and heaves, arching its back as the green glow flares, then subsides; the Goblin clearly dead.

Valerka touches the goblin, who is bleeding all over the place. As she touches it, the goblin's body spasms, gasps, and then goes limp. She learns nothing from the creature's death, however. It must have been too weak.

Atrix steps to give Mortin his flank. He then shoves his spear up the rear of the goblin as it turns to watch her move. The look she gives of wasting her time is priceless.

Filk and FiJeet are still up.

Fijeet stops inspiring and draws his bow, firing at green goblin.

"Ok, almost done with these nasties.." Filk says, and moves closer to the last goblin, sending sizeable rock towards the enemy.

The last goblin falls, as Filk has finally hit!

Everyone take 1 round action

Valerka huffs with a little battle-weariness but blurts out all the thoughts she's been collecting, "OUCH! That really, really hurt. And of course their souls are too weak to power magic - which is a bit unexpected considering their demonic taint. The heads are worth coin though, so don't forget that! Has anybody seen that little boy?"

She thinks a moment, "Maybe we should heal up; it would be nice to know how many he saw, in case they're still out there. When there's five goblins, there are usually five more unfortunately. Who's hurt and who can heal me, that one gobbo got me pretty good."

She takes a defensive position, watching for any further trouble.

"Well that was less than fun. everyone else alright?"

Fijeet pulls out his wand and taps himself. CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8

Actions left: Mortin, Atrix, Filk.

While Valerka is asking for some healing, FiJeet heals himself.

"Ugh, I hope we don't need to carry the heads with us just for proof. Could we just take the ears or something?" Filk says, somewhat disgusted by the idea of removing the heads.

But taking note of Valerka's warning, Filk takes a defensive position, and keeps his eyes darting all over the surroundings.

Atrix moves closer to Valerka and then readies to attack anything that comes within range.

Mortin trudges toward Valerka, slowly, putting his spear away.

"I got a charge of healing for you, give me a second..."

Fijeet looks around at the mention of the boy

Valerka looks around at the tree-shrouded horizon looking for any potential activity. She also looks expectantly at Mortin, "Where did that kid go?"

The boy has run off during the fight. At this time, you don't see anything but the goblin bodies.

But, as has been observed, Goblins come it packs.

Mortin steps forward, pulls out his wand, and taps Valerka once.

As the dust settles from the goblin attack, the sound of deranged, off-key singing filters onto the field.

"Forpelu ilin! Forpelu ilin! Malalta kaj alta!

Tranĉi ilin! Mangxigos al nia koboldo hundidoj!

Drawn by the sounds of the previous combat, two goblins scramble into the field through a break in the fence (as shown on the map), riding comically undersized goblin dogs.

Valerka, Mortin, Filk, FiJeet are up!

Valerka shakes her head in response to the poorly sung tune, "Well don't color me surprised," she mutters.

Raising her arms up in a defensive stance, she begins murmuring some mystical words beneath her breath. She begins weaving her arms, clearly ready to unleash magic against their attackers.

Fijeet steps up and fires at the green goblin dog mount.

"Goblin, or the dog? Goblin or the dog?"

The goblins are clearly the worse menace, but dropping the goblin dog might get rid of the rider as well. While trying to make up his mind, Filk moves next to Atrix to have a clear shot. There, he lifts a fist-sized rock from the ground and hurls it with tremendous force into purple goblin dog.

FiJeet fires his bow at the green goblin dog, hitting it. Then, Filk "throws" a rock at the purple one. Both seem to do a decent amount of damage, but neither kill their target.

As the goblin riders urge on their mounts, Valerka hits the purple one (the first one forward) with her ray of enfeeblement, which doesn't really seem to slow them down.

Purple moves up to Mortin, dismounts, and attacks. The goblin and its dog both miss, badly.

Green moves up to FiJeet, and does the same thing. The goblin misses, but the dog bites. FiJeet starts getting all itchy from the "dog's" dander, but is not overwhelmed by it.

Then the red dog runs up to Filk, and attacks. It also misses by a lot.

Atrix is up, Mortin is delayed!

Atrix swings at the purple goblin, but is somehow distracted by the singing.

Mortin scowls, dropping his wand, pulling his spear out again, and stabs at pink.

"Of course there are more... keep those mangy mutts AWAY!" he shouts at the goblin.

Mortin stabs his spear into the goblin. It squawks at the pain, but is still moving.

Then, FiJeet fires his bow at the same dog again, hitting it, and it goes down with a whimper.

Valerka frowns at her continued failed attempts to hit or affect anything. Literally damned goblins, why did it have to be literally damned goblins. I'd have taken Goblin/insect hybrids at this point.

Frustrated she stares into the eyes of a goblin and tries to catch his attention. As she mutters an arcane chant, a purple haze begins forming around his head. "Love to play? Play with this!"

"Ok, easy does it. Let's put these gobbos down."
The goblin dog's teeth snap uncomfortably close, but Filk is still able to avoid the smelly creature. He steps back, and sends a big rock to remove a few teeth from the red goblin dog.

Filk then hurls a pebble right through the skull of the red dog...

The Pink goblin clubs his mace at Mortin, hitting him.

Valerka grumbles again, "Well at least my magic did something. Somebody keep your eyes open for more."

Frustrated, she pulls out a more mundane response to the Goblins, drawing a flask of green liquid from her belt. "Hey Goblin, it's not fire, but it'll look just as good on you! Haaaaaa!" She hurls the flask at it, giving a continuous scream as it flies through the air.

"I hope these are the last of them..." Filk says, and quickly looks around him, half-expecting a new swarm of goblinoids appearing from behind the trees.

But at least a couple of goblins remain in plain sight. They would be nicely lined up.. Filk wonders if he could propel the rock fast enough to get them both. He grabs a rock from the ground. The rock levitates between Filk's hands, his face frowns in great concentration, before shooting the rock into tr purple goblin.

Valerka throws a flask of acid at the green goblin, hitting it. He screams in pain, but is still standing.

Then, Filk throws a rock at pinky. He hits the goblin in the head, but that is probably their least vulnerable spot, so does not confirm his critical. The goblin does collapse, though.

Green runs around Mortin, up to Valerka, yelling, "Ne ĵetu acida min, ĉiesulino!"

He then swings at Valerka. There is a thud as the mace hit her square in the face, but evidently this is her hardest feature as well.

Filk sprints past Valerka to gain a better shot at the remaining goblin. He grabs a small pebble, and shoots it like a bullet toward the goblin's exposed flank.
