Hopefully now that everyone's back from GenCon, for the lucky bastages that got to go, we can get things rolling. I'll try to make sure to post in the mornings.
I've sent both Morgrym and Arenya PMs to ask why there is an absence for so long. If I do not hear back by the end of today we'll carry on without them.

I'm still on the fence about that. 4 or 6 characters, either is still easy to scale for. I will leave it up to the group. 4 characters will make combat, etc go faster, I'm sure, but I'm comfortable with 6 as well.
Shathira -- are either of the grindlow on the other side of the cavern even partially above the surface (asks the man with a loaded crossbow in his other hand)?

Going to get things rolling here again, and hopefully Garavaen and Astein will be able to join us again before too long.
Recap: The party was given 48 hours to find water and bring it back to the Man's Promise. They've spent the first day exploring, more in the hopes of finding Sandara and Crimson, than gathering water. That search has lead them to Riptide Cove towards the afternoon. The Grindylow have put up stiff resistance, and many of the group are injured, and running low on resources.
@garavaen, no worries. I've been in that situation myself. Thanks for leaving any kind of update, it's much appreciated.
@group: With the loss of Morgrym and Arenya, did we want to replace them or move on? Given the makeup of the group, I wouldn't mind adding one healer. If not, then I will do my best to make sure there are adequate means of healing available. I won't screw you guys for playing the characters that you want.
A healer sort would be a good addition, I think.
I'd be good add in a healer, after all, my sole heal only works on a personal once per day and it's a mere pittance and only if you're good aligned.
I'll give you guys first shot at recruiting, so if there's anyone that you know that's reliable and would like to play, let them know.

Since you were manipulating your hair to swim with I would think that counts as having the ability active thus granting the ability to make the AoO.
You have to use it in minute increments. The fight hasn't been going on for a minute, so the hair would still be active.

Sorry for the absence. I was traveling over the holidays and my laptop chose that time to crap out. I've got things sorted now and rebuilt my character cheat-sheets. I'll try to catch up quickly and post in the next day. Sorry again.

That'd be the end of the first book of the AP! Moving on, there are some things to look over, including the Infamy and The Life of a Pirate Which goes over plunder, infamy and disrepute, which are important in the upcoming books. Please become familiar with them.

On the sad side of things, I haven't heard anything back from Eli, either here or via PM, so we should start thinking about replacing him. If any of you have a friend that would like to join the game, I'll give them first shot before opening up the whole for recruitment.

No one else seemed to be jumping on the Captain thing, so I had Astein do so. With his background he seems to be among the best fit, there is nothing drawing him away.
In reality we'll make decisions as a group, but I figure Astein has been spooky enough up until now that people should go along with it. He's got the smarts for it, and what he lacks in charisma he will lean on the rest of you for.
If there is a big protest to this, we can ret-con it but it seems to fit well with the storyline to me.

Sounds good to me, I know Davina has no desire to be in charge of a pirate vessel, she just needs the transportation on her search. Doesn't hurt that Crimson's there either.
