The kobold is quite animated when he talks about the golden god, making motions with hands to try and relate how large the creature is. "DRAGON! Scales! Wings! Snout! YES! The golden god is as tall as a dozen kobolds!! But... not dragon? He has only two legs like us. He has horns and is made of rock and shiny metal! But dragons all over floor!"
When Shambala mentions killing Stinkeye the kobold frowns, unsure how to respond. He seems hesitant but slowly adds, "But... Stinkeye is Naktok's pet. Naktok is blind and not afraid of Stinkeye like us. We avoid Stinkeye at all times, but Stinkeye not try to eat us. Mostly. Naktok be made if you kill pet."

"Pet, eh? Well, we'll try not to kill th' pet then. But I make no guarantees, if it tries to kill us it will be dealt with..."
| GM ShadowLord |
You move past the kobold and through the double doors to the west.
Just five feet from the double door, a granite statue of a human woman stands in a running pose. The head of the statue is turned to look over her shoulder, her face locked in a silent scream.

Studying the statue, Tsadok warns the others. "Not sure what yet but there are several magical beast that are able to petrify with a glance. Perhaps why Shambala's new friend stated that Naktok, who is blind, isn't bothered by it."
Looks like there is a doorway just ahead, Tsadok will move up to it looking inward

Hearing the kobold's last sentence and Tsadok'ul statement, Shambala frowns.
"Hmm, it doesn't seem as easy as it seemed at first look. What do you think we should do? Could we blindfold ourselves? Or should we just avoid the encounter with "stinkeye" and try to see if we can recover Sharrowsmith, which is our mission..."

The door opens and the group piles in. Animal hides and furs have been laid out on the six dwarf-sized stone beds in this room. A crude set of dice lies scattered on the floor. A number of weapons have been stashed in a pile to the north.
Searching the room, you find that while most of the weapons are of poor quality and virtually worthless, a fine longsword, which has Sharrowsmith's initials engraved on the crossguard, is also in the pile. Examining the longsword, you find it is a blade of the open road.
BLADE OF THE OPEN ROAD
Lesser blade of the open road 2,515 GP
AURA moderate conjuration
Blades of the open road are longswords specifically crafted to strike against the Aspis Consortium. A lesser blade of the open road is a +1 longsword with a Glyph of the Open Road stamped into its hilt. A blade of the open road is a +1 Aspis bane longsword. Against agents of the Aspis Consortium and creatures directly employed by the Aspis Consortium, the weapon’s enhancement bonus is 2 higher than its actual bonus, and the weapon deals an extra 2d6 points of damage. A greater blade of the open road has all of the properties of a blade of the open road and gains the ominous (UE) and heartseeker (UE) weapon special abilities against Aspis Consortium agents and the Consortium’s employees. Any wayfinder the wielder carries grants a +2 circumstance bonus on all Survival checks, not just checks to avoid becoming lost. A blade of the open road and greater blade of the open road increase this bonus to +4 or +6, respectively. Between scenarios, the wielder can enhance a lesser blade of the open road to become a blade of the open road and later into a greater blade of the open road by paying the difference in price between the two items.

Wow, that is a really awesome weapon! I'm assuming we'll have access to buy it at the end of the scenario... I just wish Trevyn was a bit better as a martial fighter to make good use of it!

Looking forward to GM this scenario to get this weapon :) Of course, it won't be of any use to Sham.

Tsadok surveys the room and noticing the beds in particular - "It appears that only 3 of these beds have been used recently. Perhaps the pet has become as much of a burden as a blessing."
"It's possible but will depend on how long it has been since Sharrowsmith was here, and of course the real question might be was he ever here in this room? At which I would say the answer is a definite no."
Tsadok borrows the weapon from Hekra and presents it to Pea'nut for a scent check. GM's choice :-) Hekra, kobold, or Sharrowsmith, scents abound here

There is no sound beyond the door so Tsadok opens it and movse out. At the center of the room is a large fountain, a white marble statue of a dwarf in scholarly robes faces east in a defiant posture. In one hand, the dwarf holds a staff, and in the other an open book. While most of the statue’s elaborate details are still intact, its face has crumbled away, and water pours down from two holes where the statue’s eyes had once been.

Tsa'dok can't seem to manage to track on this stone so he pushes into the room after not hearing anything inside.
Many bits and pieces of metal lie on stone shelves carved into the walls. Several ornaments made from animal bones hang from the ceiling. A crude, one-foot-tall statue of a horned and winged creature stands on a stone table set next to a wall.

The party heads through the door into a T-junction, with the corridor splitting east and west. There is a passage south just a bit down the western corridor while continuing down the western corridor appears caved in, completely blocking the passage further. Following either corridor takes you back to the statue in the center of the larger chamber.
