Kleora
Kleora nodded in acceptance of their words and noted that the one seemed to slip and mentioned a troll. Good to know there might be one around but she wasn't going to push it and ask anymore. "As you're letting us go on our way unharmed I believe an exchange is in order. We have little to offer but I believe we can part with some food. It might not be up to your standards but it is the best that I can offer you." She reached slowly and carefully into her pack and pulled out a trail ration. Unwrapping it she set it down on the wrappings and then said, "It was a pleasure to meet you all. Should we meet again I am Kleora." With that she did as she had been bade, she turned, and continued up the path in the direction they had been going gesturing for the others to follow her.
Freyr Elvanna
Freyr sighs and doesn't drop his combat readiness. While the fey may be telling the truth, that doesn't mean they won't change their minds later. "Sister, do you recall the name Teb Knotten from back home?"
GM Red Box
The sprites look a bit bewildered for a moment as Kleora presents food, which they like, and moves forward to go past them, which they don't. The lights move close together for a moment and then seperate.
"Now now, I said go back not go forward. Still you offer food and have been a distraction. We wont tell we saw you if you don't tell we let you past. Go... for all the good it will do you.
The snow is deep and movement is labored but they at least let you past.

I will post what you come to next later today. Staff picnic day so no computer and I don't want to rush you if you want to do anything else then follow the path.
GM Red Box
The name is familiar, it may be a one of the servants of a lesser witch. It is on the tip of your tounge but you cannot... wait, yes it is a troll that helps..... you can't quite get the name.
What are you doing now?
Freyr Elvanna
Freyr nods and keeps one eye on the fey until they're out of sight behind the group. "That went surprisingly well." He shrugs and gestures for them to keep moving forward.
GM Red Box
After a bit you can see that the trail you have been following joins a game trail. The narrow game trail winds its way through the trees and undergrowth here. Hoofprints mark the underlying snow, leading in both directions.

The stag pauses and looks at the group.
“What brings you hear, not hunters I think/hope? Who are you?”

Woof, the website has been wonky for the past couple days.
A less disciplined mind might question the oddity of a talking stag, but Maja had seen stranger things in her life, perhaps even today. "We are hunters, but of a different sort. We aren't looking for deer." She eyes the talking animal's winter coat before continuing. "Perhaps we could ask you the same question? Where are you from?"
Sense Motive w/ Inspiration on its reply: 1d20 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 6 + (5) = 19
GM Red Box
From what Maja can tell it is just a talking white stag and nothing comes to Tayanalla's mind that would account for it.
"Most cant talk, I can. I'm from a forest with different trees. Trees with different leaf. What do you hunt? WHy are you here in the snow? Where are you going, can I go with you?"
The stag moves closer, about fifteen feet from the group.
Freyr Elvanna
"I'm sure whoever it is, they don't like us," Freyr projects back to his sister as she looks for an answer. "Let's keep both eyes open." As the strange deer approaches them, Freyr remains on guard. "Why exactly would you want to come with us?"
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21
GM Red Box
Freyr gets the sense that something is off about this though he has no idea what. It could simply be that a talking stag is an unusual thing. Still he answers.
"I am just walking the woods eating leaves before they die. I am board. Why don't you answer questions?"
Tayanalla does not see anything out of the ordinary.
Kleora
Kleora was pleased with the overall results of their encounter with the fey and nodded in agreement with her companions as they talked about it. "The fey can be bargained with, they keep their word, and they follow rules of hospitality in their way." She grinned, "You just have to know how to talk to us is all." Her tone was mischievous at those last words and she lapsed into silence there after.
As they trudged along Kleora found herself getting bored. It had been awhile since the fey and the monotonous trudging through the snow was getting tiresome and dull. Fortunately something always seemed to come up eventually to entertain her and sure enough the Green Lady provided. A talking white stag was different and she wasn't sure quite what it was and so bent her mind to remembering if she'd heard of this creature before.
Knowledge (nature)?: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (18) + 9 = 27
Frjya Elvanna
"There is a whole duchy ruled by fey back home." Frjya off handedly commented. She has had dealings with fey before, primarily winter fey. So she knew what Kleora was speaking about was indeed the truth.
Looking to the stag she spoke, even if it was odd, "We seek some one, and we believed they where taken this way. Sp through the snow we go."
Maja Tasker
Hopefully the great website wars are over and we can get back to some manner of normalcy.
Maja frowns, but she waits for the stag to respond to the others.
She didn't trust the stag, sure as she was of its wintry origins and relationship with whatever magic brought it here. It only remained to be seen if it was allied with the dangerous fey that stalked the woods.
GM Red Box
Kleora can recall nothing more about a talking stag.
"Someone taken this way. Intresting." the stag takes a step closer and as it moves mumbles something possibly casting a spell!
Freyr DC15 Will vs Reduce Idem on your Greatsword.
As the whispering stops a miniscule, green-skinned humanoid wielding a needle-thin rapier appears on the back of the stag. It moves up about 10 feet and to the north from the stag, a pair of dragonfly wings holds the wee creature aloft.

I missed typed. The minuscule green skinned humonoid appeared in the air touching the sword and then flew up.
Tayanalla
"It's a little man with wings!" Taya exclaims.
She steps forward, past Aramant to get closer to the flying little man.
Reaching into her component pouch, she withdraws a handful of colored sand that she flings towards the naughty little guy.
The sand changes in mid-air to a collection of multi-colored rays of light that streak out to engulf him.

Freyr growls as he notices the green man moving in his peripheral vision just a moment before it's hand comes in contact with his sword. "More fey!" he snaps, the blade coming out in one quick movement. He feels the pulse of magic and forces it back with sheer will before he feels the stag's horns ram through the rings of his mail and bury themselves in his gut. He can't fight back a cry of pain, but he grits his teeth and swings out at the animal.

Kleora was startled by the little green man that appeared and did something to Freyr's sword, something which he shook off just as the stag attacked him brutally with it's horns. She rather hoped he'd survive the attack and focused her mind on the stag. She hated to hurt the thing but it was obvious there was no real choice just now. If she didn't act swiftly it might well kill Freyr. She focused on thoughts of pain and suffering and fear and thrust them into the stag's primitive mind.

Maja draws her sword and attacks but her attack goes wide of its mark.

I wont send out a lot of reminders like that but it is good every now and then. The same goes for perception, at times I will do it for the group but don't rely on my. In the games I play I always forget that stuff.
Freyr recognizes the creature as an atomie. Clearly it has been touched by the winter weather. {i.e. it has the frost touched template} These small creatures can turn invisible several times a day and have the ability to shrink living things at will. They are hard to hit and can quickly fly out of reach.
Freyr Elvanna
"Atomie," Freyr says bluntly. "And a winter touched one at that. Watch it carefully. They can vanish a few times and they can shrink things at a touch. And they're fast little creatures."

You're welcome! I will always put little things like that when I have her comment about stuff from Irrisen. Just to make it easier.

Kleora couldn't help but laugh at the atomie's response to Frjya and said, "I think you're adorable. As for your stag, if you want him left alone call him off. If he keeps attacking us they will kill him." She looked at the creature admiringly, "And he is a beautiful creature as well."
