Did we leave the lady?

![]() |

I think we should go back and bring her in.

![]() |

No need, Abaal carried her out, she's already with us...

GM RePete |

Flyn plants two arrows into the beasts side as Syllyn steps forward and swings a warning blow at the beast. His song continues to bolster his allies.
Abaal quickly rushes forward and slices the creature asunder, sending it to the ground as Whendel's 'Little Dirty' materializes.
Combat Over
Abaal retrieves the limp form of their captive as Phoebee desecrates the corpse. (It was an undead fire dragon covered in gold)
Quickly making your way through the city...following your original path backwards, you somehow manage to avoid any further opponents. As you exit, the artifact glows and the doors to the city swing shut with an ominous *SHUNK*
Your crazed pathfinder smiles a gap toothed grin as you exit the place; stepping out of a nearby bush as he adjusts his trousers... The man follows you back towards the beach; jabbering nonsensically to himself the whole way.
You signal the ship and find yourself quickly retrieved from the shore and whisked away. Several days pass as you relax on the vessel. A somewhat uneventful trip back to the city, given recent events. Perhaps that's not all bad though?
The Venture Captain graciously receives the key and the artifact for further study. "Well done! Well don all." she praises, glancing towards your additional 'companions'. "We'll certainly take care of 'her'. And, we'll do what we can to help him...though it may not be possible. It's astounding he survived that long there!"
"I'll see to it you all get your just rewards. Thanks so much!"
Any gold items (including the bits of dragon) disintegrated into dust when you exited the city. Sorry, part of the magic of the place.

Flyn grins sardonically as Abaal finishes off the dragon. "Abaal, my friend, with that mighty blow, I officially designate you an honorary bloodthirsty Elf..."
Upon the debrief with the Venture-Captain, Flyn bows. "No worries, ma'am, 'twas an honor to serve..."
He turns to his companions. "'Twas an honor to journey and fight by each of your sides. If you have need of me in the future, my bow is at your service. Fare thee well..."
Flyn turns to the half-Elven bard and smiles warmly. "Phoebee, I have been informed that I have but the night before I must leave for my next mission...now what did you have in mind?"

Those things are best left discussed in private she says with a mischievous grin and a twinkle in her eye as she motions for the elf, with one finger, to follow her to her room.

![]() |

Flyn smiles even wider, then bows to Syllyn, Abaal, and Whendel, murmuring, "Excuse me, gentlemen, duty calls," before following Phoebee to her room...

Flyn grins sardonically as Abaal finishes off the dragon. "Abaal, my friend, with that mighty blow, I officially designate you an honorary bloodthirsty Elf..."
"But I do not have a stick to fling another stick with. That and it is nearly sundown I should be walking westward about now. Fare thee well all!"

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

"Wait. You mean we aren't going?"

![]() |

Do you like the evangelist cleric archetype better than the bard?

![]() |

I don't know, never having played an evangelist. The Bard class does seem a little weak to me though, except as a face.

![]() |

Bards are actually pretty strong when operating as a force multiplier. That said I've never been a fan of the way performance works so I tend to play non-bard bards. Aside from Laurana, I play Rilia an elf cleric who has a levels of bard, and Archimeles a philosopher know-it-all who enjoys the occasional wet toga night at his favorite bar where he meets with his rowdy philosopher rivals and they all grapple with the hard questions and each other (monk, ki mystic, sensei).[/ooc]

This is the first bard I have played since 2nd edition and she is a blast

![]() |

Don't get me wrong. I like the class as I'm personally into buffing. It just seems like you can't be good in combat so you have to rely on your performance and spells. And your spells are not all that effective in combat unless your opponent is susceptible to enchantments and, even then, you don't get enough of them until higher levels. But the face and knowledge skills make up for it (except for some archetypes - why are 90% of archetypes crap?).

I think that if I were to do her again I might do the song healer archetype but I am fine with the basic bard. The spells are kinda crappy but she does have some good buffs.

Thanks again
