I am at Pennsic War 48 till August 11th and I will be back to normal posting at that time.
I have my phone and I have the ability to post but the responses will be limited and at odd times. I will have to limit how often I post as my wife has gotten my oldest daughter involved in pokemon go. This is eating up a lot of our data for our phones. I want her to enjoy the game so I am limiting what I do with my phone until we get back home. If it is needed..bot me.

I had to look it up, but Pennsic War looks like a pretty cool event! It reminds me of Drachenfest, a huge German LARP event that's all about, well, fighting. German LARPers are often taken back when they visit a Dutch LARP and realize that we like to talk. A lot. And that we will try to solve everything and anything by talking.

It is an amazing event (about 11,000 attendees) and the SCA is based on historic events and periods. When you get hit you will feel it. We use solid rattan weapons. The last battle of the war, I took a spear to the ribs. I went down in pain with the EMTs on site being called out immediately. It was determined that I had some broken ribs and possibly a Pneumothorax. There is more to this story but no need to go into details. After several hours in the trauma center, I was released with some very sore and bruised ribs. My personal doctor has forbid me to fight until spring time next year. I have had my fair share of bruises and close calls but never anything as painful as the this. LARPS are fun and way much safer...lol
Yeah, that sounds like some of the crazier Russian LARPs I've heard about. Here, safety is key and anyone who does anything that endangers others will get to explain themselves or booted from the event xD
Hey guys, I'm doing some work on my house this week. Things might be slow, but I'll try to get a post up to keep things moving tonight or tomorrow.
Okay, sorry about that delay. Last week/this weekend took more out of me than I though it would.
Speaking of delays, I have an announcement to make. In about five weeks or so, my wife and I are expecting our first child. That's part of why I've been doing work on my house. Now, it would be foolish to pretend this happy event won't affect my posting ability, but I wanted to specify a few things.
First, I will NOT be ending this campaign. I absolutely intend to see this through to the end. If I have to scale back my games, there are some I'm a player in that I'll drop out of first.
Second, while the current pace should be sustainable after the birth, things may slow down a bit. I'll try to keep things going, though.
Third, I don't expect anything else to change regarding this game. I'll keep posting and running as long as you guys want me to.

Congratulations! That's a big change and I'm sure it will be an amazing one! And for the game slowing down, I more than understand. Whatever ends up happening, I really don't want you to feel any stress whatsoever with regards to your obligations as a DM in this game :)

Just an update for you. I've had Meniere's disease for 30 years now. I haven't had a bad spell in over 5 years but last week it flared up again and put me on my back.
It's fading again and from experience I should be good to go in a day or two. Thanks for your patience.

I will be very tired at the end of each of these days. I am in the process of finishing my roof on the viking house. Thousands and thousands of little cedar shakes sidings to be stapled into my roof. This part is being done by myself...I may not post often, if need be...Bot me.

I have been going through some rough personal stuff lately and I am sorry that I have not been as active as I would like. The quantity of my posts is not there nor is the quality. Planning to move in a couple of months (again) with the drama of personal life and the stress of figuring out all the logistics of the schools for the kids, housing, new doctors and my wife's career is just one huge quagmire of red tape and hoops to jump through. This has all led me to a state of total physical, mental and emotionally drained.
I plan to keep up as best I can with the games but as I know you understand, this is a game and will take a back seat to RL.
Bot me as you need to. I hope and pray that this mess is resolved soon and life goes back to normal.

I just noticed I'd calculated my Perception score wrong. Reflexive Improvisation (an alt half-elven trait I took) grants a +2 racial bonus to all untrained skill checks. Perception is untrained for her, and I just doublechecked to read that racial bonuses stack (so she benefits from both that ability and Keen Senses), so I've added the additional +2 to my statblock.

Due to events with family, I'm going to say we're on a holiday break from December 25 - January 1. I may get a post or two in there, but otherwise I will probably be too busy to do so. During that time, there will be no posting expectation, and we'll get things rolling again on January 2. Sound good?

Truly no problem about your rules interpretation, GM. I. I literally just ran a fight in one of my own games where the monster's fear attack worked differently, which is why I wanted to check to be sure I knew what my options were (and weren't).
As an aside: as a freelance editor who has in fact corrected James Jacobs' work, I'm not shy about questioning the intent of "the masters." It's the GM whose call I ask for. :)
With cade panicked, that would leave no orders for Bellum. I am thinking that he would follow Cade. Would this be a correct assumption.
I think that makes sense, yes. It's that or he'd stay and bark at them, so whichever of those two options you prefer.
EDIT: Someone else could try making the Handle Animal checks to give him orders as a move action, but that's up to you if you want to allow that.
