In response to your question, GM, can I perform a mounted charge on Damien's initiative whether or not Ruby's initiative has come up yet?

Unfortunately, Ruby can't move until her initiative count. Damien can perform a mounted charge, if he delays or readies an action until Ruby's turn, then both can act at that point.

While Damien delays, he will not be flat-footed.

Honestly, I looked up the rules for Taking 10 and 20 and posted it as much for my own review as for anyone else's benefit.

Don't know if you guys find it distracting, but I think it's occasionally useful to include the occasional PbP or PFS tip, especially for a scenario designed for newer players.

It's a technique I intend to continue to employ, striving to not overdo it.

Don't feel bad, Nina, I always forgot taking 10 and 20 too!

On an unrelated note, I haven't been able to enjoy Gameday 6 as much as I would've liked to. Work decided to pick up right when some of my games were getting good, and I totally fell behind. Running the special has easily taken 75% of my posting effort, so I slacked a little in my other games. I'm hoping it slows down by the time session 2 rolls around!

The good thing is with six players, you don't always need to get a post in for every interaction - similar to being at an f2f table and not needing to participate in every social encounter or exploration event. Plus Larry's GMing has been both fun and forgiving, and he has been great with filling in PCs actions whenever they went MIA. :)

I'm enjoying my games but we've been working with a skeleton crew at work lately and that on top of my *normal* schedule shenanigans has left me tireder and less inspired when it comes to my posting. I'd actually tried not to overindulge with games as a player for this Gameday (Gameday V last year was gonzo) due to doing some GMing this time but I still wound up in about 4 games anyway due to a combination of being invited and/or wanting to check out some cool people's GMing. On the bright side, everyone in the Portent's Peril game that I'm running seems to be enjoying themselves :)

Session #2 is going to be interesting as well; I'm in slightly fewer games as a player but now I'll be GMing a table for the second run of Solstice Scar in addition to the game of Reaping What We Sow that I'd already planned on.

Four games split between GMing and playing is a good sweet spot. Remind me to not try to run 4 games concurrently ever again... :|
I think you'll have a lot of fun running Solstice Scar. It's a great adventure through places near and far, and Granta and Larry did a lot of the upfront work to get tokens, timelines, and posts ready. It's made running SS go a lot more smoothly than some of the previous PbP specials.

I hope so too and I agree! The stuff that's already been done ahead of time will definitely make things easier. I'm still waiting on scenario support for my copy but I'm supposed to be GMing Tier 3-4 which is the same tier I'm playing in right now, so I already have some idea of how things should work :)

I'm also trying to get prep done early for RWWS; I've almost got my slides & tokens done and I'm hoping to get some of the scene posts written up ahead of time as well.

Thank you for making my first attempt at GMing a PbP session a great experience. I'd especially like to thank you for posting regularly and for adding interesting and fun role-play to game that sometimes focuses more on the roll-play.

*Please let me know if any of you are new to PFS. There's a "Welcome to Pathfinder" boon for newcomers.

*If you have a day job, please roll it here in the discussion thread. If you like to role-play your day job (I do), feel free to post it in the gameplay thread.

Each PC receives the "Explore, Report, Cooperate" boon and the "Prized Find" boon on his or her Chronicle sheet.

Primary Success Conditions
You completed your main mission by recovering Eylysia’s records and returning them to the Grand Lodge. Doing so earned each PC 1 Prestige Point.

Secondary Success Conditions
Over the course of the adventure, you had several opportunities to perform a particularly thorough investigation and complete your objectives without causing undue trouble in Absalom. You also completed at least three of the following five objectives:
You befriended at least two of the four named allies in the Wounded Wisp tavern; defeated the creatures in the Wisp's hidden cellar without the direct intervention of any NPCs; retrieved the Pathfinder’s coin from the necropolis without using violence; avoided killing the cleric guardian or any guards; and avoided inflicting significant property damage to Arcanamirium property, such as by breaking Fimbrik’s windows or breaking down his door. Having fulfilled at least three of these goals, you each earned 1 additional Prestige Point.

I'll report the session and complete the chronicle sheets over the weekend and post them in the maps & handouts link. I'll announce it in the discussion thread when they're ready.
