He is interrupted as Makall's spell fills his eyes with shimmering light, blinding him.

Girrigz makes a powerful thrust with his rapier at Searok, which goes right through where he was a second ago, the wererat's blindness robbing him of the strike.

Taking another step and not stopping her morbid song. Bending her arms down and a blast of shards erupt from her violin.

Shaeda hands the flash of Silversheen off to Searok, and strikes at Girrigz with her whip.

The argent coating on her whip allows it to strike the wererat full force. He lets out a yelp of pain, and the crowd of watchers flinches in sympathy.


Letting the song trail off uncompleted, "We don't want to fight with you and you have the ability to end this. There is no reason we have be on opposite sides."

Not wanting to harm the wererat more than necessary Makall pulls out his wand and invokes the activation word.

Shame, would have failed before combat started, but unfortunately Charm Person has a rule where if someone is being attacked by you or your allies, they get a +5 to the save.

Despite his blindness, Girrigz is able to stab Searok deeply with his rapier. He feels the blade connect and lets out a little squeal of satisfaction.

He also finally manages to blink the glimmering particles out of his eyes.

Emma's up, but may not be available at the moment, I'll bot if she doesn't seem to be around.


Okay, botting Emma

Girrigz is not interested in listening to reason, especially after scoring a damn good hit. He ignores her, so she will step back 5 feet to avoid retaliation and cast Shadow Trap.

Girrigz finds himself suddenly entangled in his own shadow. He unleashes a torrent of profanity as he struggles with it.

Due to his impaired agility, Shaeda is able to pull the wererat off his feet, and he hits the ground with a thud.

Girrigz rolls away from the enraged dwarf, so he can hop to his feet, hopefully safely.

Move action to five foot, then another to get up. Provokes from Emma, but he figures better her than Searok.

Makall pulls from his pocket some sand and traces a circle with it as he begins to invoke several syllables in an eldritch language.

Depends can she smack him with a violin? otherwise she will need to pull out her rapier.


Nah, if you aren't holding an actual weapon (or have improved unarmed strike, or a similar feat), you don't threaten, so I guess him moving toward you before getting up was wiser than I thought.

Still your turn though, he's just not prone anymore.

Thought so. 5 ft back to avoid the AoO.

Eyes widening at the sudden closeness and taking a step backwards. Using her free hand to tugging at her forearm. Rapidly there are six Emma's standing in place. They all smile at Girrigz ans stick out their tongues at him.

This time Girrigz manages to stay upright, but he still gets clobbered in the face with Searok's hammer a second latter.

As Makall completes the spell a low rumbling can be felt beneath the feet of those around Girrigz as two humanoids completely composed of rock emerge from the floor surrounding the wererat.

Granijor and Ablaszar immediately attempt to pummel the wererat.

"This did not have to come to this, Girrigz."

Granijor slam, power attack, earth mastery, flanking: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 8 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 25
damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 13

Ablaszar slam, power attack, earth mastery, flanking: 1d20 + 8 - 1 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 8 - 1 + 1 + 2 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 6 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 + 1 = 15

Makall flicks his hand in the direction of the wererat sending off three missiles from his fingers.

magic missile: 3d4 + 1 ⇒ (4, 1, 3) + 1 = 9


Miss chance for the elemental, high is good for you.

Percentage: 1d100 ⇒ 72

And for three missiles, it's actually 3d4+3, so you did 11 damage.

Girrigz gets pummeled by one of the elementals, then zapped by Makall's spell. He's looking pretty worn down, but reason left him long ago so he fights on, snapping at Searok.

Bite: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (6) + 7 = 131d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5

Searok narrowly avoids possible lycanthropic infection.

Emma's turn.


Returning the bow to the strings and continuing her song.

Chord of Shards: 2d6 ⇒ (2, 6) = 8 Reflex DC 13. and aiming it so that it only hits Girrigz.


Reflex: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (9) + 3 = 12

Girrigz is struck by the sonic shards full in the face, lets out a squeak of fury and pain, and finally collapses bleeding to the floor.

Combat over!

The other wererats look a combination of shocked and intimidated.

"Wow, you...got him." one says. "He took on all challengers without losing a whisker. You guys are tough."

"We don't want any trouble, okay?" says another. "We thought maybe he knew what he was talking about, but clearly he didn't. Look, if we give you all the weapons and stuff, can the rest of us go? It's back there, all of it." He points around the corner of the wall behind Girrigz.

A third chimes in: "What should we do about him? Are you going to arrest him? Do we just...leave him there?"

Searok is glad the little rat is down and for a fleeting moment thinks about stomping the critter for good measure but since it seems like his followers are placated, he will let Emma use her words on them.


Biting the inside of her cheek, that is a lot of blood. Crouching down to feel for a pulse and listening, "Depends on what he says."

Looking around for Sheada, "Can you keep him from bleeding out? And do we still have manacles so he has to just talk?"

If Sheada wont then Emma will use a cure lt wounds to wake Girrigz up but would want him bound.

Looking back to the group of wererats, "We said we did not want blood. And we said we knew who caused the plague and that it wasn't any of you. And that we have proof. We will make sure the city knows you had nothing to do with this and they don't need to know about your plans either. The city needs everyone in it and that includes all of you. So you won't make your attacks now, right?"

Diplomacy: 1d20 + 13 ⇒ (10) + 13 = 23 +2 if they constitute a crowd.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10


Girrigz is bleeding out, but not yet on the cusp of death. -2 HP, won't die until -18, probably stabilize on his own if you want to save the spell.

The crowd seems very convinced that listening to Girrigz was a mistake, and mostly look like they just want to get away at this point.

"Leave him. If he wishes to retaliate then we will deal with it then. We cannot bring him in he would find a way out and our concern was to stop him from starting a war."


On him, Girrigz has a rapier and chain shirt that detect as magical, and four potions.

It's pretty clear why the wererats would like you to take "the stuff" in the back with you; if anyone from the city saw their stash, they'd be sure to be suspected of planning trouble. There's 22 daggers, 12 short swords, three light crossbows, 60 bolts, four chain shirts, 12 flasks of alchemist fire, four more potions, and a bottle and pearl that both detect as magical.

Shaeda will check the items to figure out what they are, saving the potions for last. They're probably identical, so with 8 of them to check, I'm sure we'll succeed, hahaha.

Girrigz had a +1 chain shirt, +1 mithral rapier, 2 potions of Bear's Endurance, potion of Cure Moderate Wounds, and potion of Shield of Faith +3.

The other items include four potions of Cure Moderate Wounds, and a Pearl of Power (2nd level spell). Only the function of the bottle eludes Shaeda.

Makall looks over the bottle as its properties eludes Shaeda.

Makall figures it out - it's a Bottle of Air, useful should you ever find yourselves underwater again.

Shaeda tells everyone what the items are, "Most of these are either too big for me, or mimic spells I can cast. The pearl, however, I could definitely use."


Searok is more often in the front so he should get the armor. And Emma could use the rapier

"Thank you Sheada." Leaving their captive for a moment to look at the so called stash. If we let him stay will he try again?

Closing her eyes and listening to the list of items found before going back to Girrigz after he has been stripped of his things. Crouching down infront of him, "Any issues if I talk to him before we leave? I need to know if he will try to start this up again?"

Nodding and shaking Girrigz awake. Glaring at him, "So your plans have failed and your army is gone. You lost. This plague has nothing to do with your people and I have proof. No one is going to come after you. But your dumb plan would have meant the guards would have poured into the sewers and you would have lead your people to there deaths."

Taking a deep breath, "So what are you gonna do now? Because that really matters to me."


Girrigz awake with a start, and struggles against his bindings. He glowers at Emma as she says her piece, then prepares to snarl a response. At the last second though he gets a good look at the other wererats watching him. They don't look very afraid or impressed with him at the moment.

"...Leave the city." he mutters.

He seems to mean it, as far as you can tell.


Nodding, "Good."

Releasing Girrigz from the manacles and helping him up, if he will allow it, "I don't want to hear about you trying to do this again, anywhere."


Girrigz moodily allows himself to be put on his feet. This obviously couldn't be more humiliating for him if Emma was telling him to stand up straight and comb his hair.
