Noted, avoid Shilow Shepards. :)
The halfling mumbles nonsense as he continues to be dragged,
i won... be defeated by the likes of a dwarf-dog you fool....

Vhaezil picks up his pace;
"I suggest we make haste. This structure has come undone, but we can ill afford to lose its treasures..."

From up ahead you hear one of the doors up ahead slam open. A low moan, echos down the hallway, follow by another, and another, all merging into a dull roar. The shuffling of untold numbers of feet move towards you.
Just due to the pace of this dungeon, I'm just going to spell out what's going on. The singing goo monster kept all the corpses on this mountain asleep. Now that it is dead, every single one has reanimated. There are literally thousands of zombies down here with you now. Getting out the way you came in is not currently an option.
Also, this is not designed as a TPK event, there are ways to survive and make it out with the books. Closing the secret doors behind you will serve as an effective barricade against the sea of undead.

(Yup - believe that's the plan - as per Lichen above. I'm a bit wholly on where the secure position is though :S
GM Fanguar |
The chapel that had the ooze creature in it had a pair of secret doors that led to connected hallways. One of the paths led to the pit where the whole Zask situation occurred. The other hallway is as of yet unexplored.
Closing the secret doors keeps you safe from the zombie hoard that has animated, but they now stand between you and the exit, as well as the library.
The party is safe-ish at the moment. Zask is at 0 hp, but stable. What would the party like to do?

This is sort of going no where guys... can you shift out of wolf form and heal Zask so I can play or take an action to move the narrative forward a bit? We have been in one room for like 2 months.
Vhaezil Fællanbóc |
Ok - so we cannot get back to the books that contain the lore we need? If so it effectively makes the trials thus far moot. Vhaezil could seek to petition his... infernal benefactors to assist... but would likely do this once we're out and free.

Ok folks. I'm just going to call this campaign over. It's been fun, but I think this dungeon did us in.
For anyone interested, it's a Lamentations of a Flame Princess adventure called Death Frost Doom.
Anywho, I will be putting together another game of some sort in the future, but probably not until the end of August or so. I'll keep this campaign active until then and then put out a call for players.
Don't know what I'll run. More than likely, I'll just grab some people and have a 'session zero' type thing to discus what game and what style of adventuring people want to play. I'm pretty much down for anything as long as the players are engaged.

Totally understandable - for my part I hugely enjoyed Vhaezil and hope to resurrect him again down the line.
Was a hoot and a macabre dungeon - will defo source the source.
Keep me in mind for any think tank to run chief - you know I'd be keen.
@All: Thanks for putting up with the snottiest characters I've ran - you're collective reactions and tolerance made it all the more fun.

I had fun too and enjoyed the strong personalities. I am not a regular 5e player and know I am weak with that rule set. Still keep me in mind too for any new game, even if its 5e. :)

Thanks for running the game. Hope to see Vhaezil back again soon in a game. Thoroughly enjoyed that character. Looking forward to the next game, and whatever comes!

The earlier a session zero starts up the happier I'd be if you choose to have me again. Would be easy casual chat for over the summer
