Darius Redgrave
Darius moves in with his Keen longsword to help Grergof.
Move to flank if I can unless it provokes to attack the most damaged Hound.

Damage: 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9

Reflex: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (6) + 12 = 18
The hound takes some damage as it jumps out of the way of most of the electric bolt. The bed behind isn't as agile and is reduced to splinters.
One hound bites at Grergof
Bite: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (20) + 15 = 352d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5
The other one at Darius
Bite: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 202d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 6) + 3 = 15
More they can't do as they are slowed and staggered.

Darius brings his sword to bare at his hound attacker. Twirling his sword to gain momentum he slices horizontally and arcs the blade up and over into a downward chop. Still attacking the damaged hound.

Brother Grergof Varsk
Mr. Stam, do you know any weaknesses of these hounds?
As he waits for an answer Grergof focuses and heals himself again.
LoH + Greater Mercy: 4d6 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 6, 2, 2) + (4) = 18
Then Grergof continues to pound away with his magic flail.

Stam Truthfinder
"If I knew we would be fighting something like this I would have prepared a spell to banish them, ohh well for tomorrow I guess. I cannot think of any weakness they possess."
"Just back away from the creature and we can surround it and get it from all sides"
Stam tries to get an angle for another lightning bolt on the thing
Lightning bolt DC 18: 9d6 ⇒ (6, 5, 6, 3, 5, 2, 4, 1, 6) = 38

Stand Strong Mr. Redgrave! These things can be beaten!
Grergof makes sure he is flanking the one trying to make Darius his lunch and works his flail at the thing.

Foxy Quickpaw
Indeed these hounds can be beaten. As Gregof shows by example, leaving nothing left to beat for Mr. Redgrave.
The stain on the bed is dried blood. There is a flight of stairs leading upstairs. And a door.
Brother Grergof Varsk
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Grergof slumps against the wall.
I'm almost out of energy for the day... I can go on a little farther, but... As he looks up he says.
HEY! Look there's something carved in the headboard over there!
Go ahead and read the spoiler
It seems like not everyone agreed with this demon worship even at the town's founding.

Some of the group might remember the corridor. The final portrait at the eastern end shows a bitter-looking older man with the same pinched face but a receding hairline. He sits in a wheeled chair and has a decorative blanket lying across his legs. Standing behind him in a position to push the chair for him is a young man with the same features, though without the bitterness. The nameplate reads, "Claudius Undiomede and son, Manus."
Together with the rotten wheelchair in this bedroom it isn't hard to come to a conclusion.
Brother Grergof Varsk
Should we push on and look up the stairs?
Darius Redgrave
"Before we move on, lets see if I can heal you all up. Who needs aid? Grergof I know, Stam, Spugs, how are you two?"
Darius Redgrave
"As good as can be. Here Grergof let me help you." Darius says and walks over to heal Grergof.
Cure Serious Wounds: 3d8 + 9 ⇒ (6, 4, 8) + 9 = 27
Cure Light Wounds: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
"How do you feel now my friend?"
Brother Grergof Varsk
Much better thank you Sir. Grergof nods at Darius.
He looks at the stairs.
Well lets see what horrors await us up top these stairs.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (16) + 9 = 25
Grergof moves slowly up the stairs scanning for evil auras and looking for anything dangerous as he goes up.
Foxy Quickpaw
The stairs lead up to a trapdoor and this door leads outside. A railed widow’s walk stands atop the manor’s dome, looking out over the surrounding marsh. The bricks lining the floor of this cupola are sunken as if from a great impact. In the center of this shallow crater lies a mangled and gore-spattered corpse in the shredded remains of red and green finery. A trapdoor provides access to the house below.
The remains look familiar, like the cleric below before his head exploded. Around the floor are runes written in charcoal.
Brother Grergof Varsk
Maybe the hounds... But this body looks like the other one below. I wonder if one of those tenticle things was here and escaped someplace.
Grergof looks around to see if he sees any traces of something moving off of this balcony.
Perception: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (13) + 9 = 22
Brother Grergof Varsk
Hurry up and search the body so we can get back under cover!
Grergof draws his bow and stands guard watching for any enemies while the others search the body.
Ready action shoot anything that comes near the group.
Foxy Quickpaw
Searching the body - which is a gross experience - brings forth a morningstar, two rings on his hands, a gold-threaded chasuble, a bent and broken silver ceremonial tiara and gold unholy symbol of Dagon. He also has some armor, but that is deformed beyond repair, as well as some vials that are only shards and a wet patch in his clothes now.
Stam Truthfinder
Stam retreats back down the stairs away from the shadow and away from those coming back down in a hurry.
"What did you find up there?" Stam looks to see what is magical on the body.

You can roll whatever I didn't roll for.
Stam looks through the items.
Brother Grergof Varsk
Follow Mr. Spugnor! and we can close the trap door!
Grergof is the last one through the door, retreating after the others ready to shoot until he pulls the door shut.
