We're obviously coming to the end and will likely wrap up in a few days. Just double checking, but I think Shan is the only one who hasn't gotten a chance to do his faction mission yet (you can do it as you leave). Reiko (assuming you're GL) and Anja found the wayfinder and Ez and Sahar found the invoices and didn't kill Yippitok. Unfortunately Des botched his job in removing Xarcious' tongue (sorry about that).
Could everyone please post their PFS numbers? Thanks.
Also roll Day Jobs if you have them.

Desmond owns a farm that allows him to use Handle Animal for Day Job rolls:
Day Job Handle Animal: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Edit: Guess I should put some ranks into heal in case that comes up again. I thought about knocking him unconscious before attempting the operation - oh well. Win some and lose some. :)

GM, if I apply the credit to a new character, the new character would get the fame, PP, up to 500 gp (in addition to the normal starting 150 gp), and have access to any and all purchasable items we found during this scenario, right?
And do I have to actually have the character created already, or can I create him later? The new character's number would be 80181-2.

Yes, that is correct. I'll mark down 500 gold for you if that is what you want to do.

And there you go! Let me know if I made any mistakes or if those links don't work.
Thank you all for being my PbP guinea pigs. Some time during this game I hit my second star but this was my first attempt at PbP so I welcome any advice on how to make things run smoother. I hope everyone had a great time. Keep a look out; I will likely run a couple more this summer once finals are over and once my Mists of Mwangi game finishes up.
Thanks everyone!

Thank you for running Mike. You appeared to get the hang of things as the game progressed. It was nice that you allowed a little "out side of the box" role-playing in the first part of the scenario. I'm sure your next game will be even smoother!
I am a big fan of the group initiative for PbP, I think the flow of the game is better. The only quip I would recommend is trying to resolve the actions of the PCs, two or three at a time, that way those that still need to go know what they are dealing with. Sometimes Player A killed monster A during his action, but Player B was attacking monster A too. So what happends with player B and his actions? Make sense?
Another favor to ask, would you mind signing off and posting a generic one of these?
Thank you again for a well run game.

There you go.
As for updating every two or three people, that was an idea I had as well, especially with you grappling things constantly. Sometimes it was simply that I was busy and didn't have time to respond for a couple days until everyone else had made their moves, but I'll be sure to watch out for that in the future.
And for the other GMs out there, I encourage you to try the 'group initiative' in real life too. My local players have really come to like that system and it tends to speed combat up. It also allows players to be a little more tactical in their play. It's a little more complicated when there are multiple enemies, but it still works. You just have to do:
1. Players A and B
2. NPC 1
3. Players C, D, and E
4. NPC 2
etc.

GM Mike - thanks for running a great game. I really liked you as a GM and had a great time.
Everyone (including GM Mike) - Thanks for making my first PbP exprience so much fun. I had a great time. Thanks to those that answered questions and to those that role-played along with Desmond. I would enjoy being in another PbP session with any of you.
So, does everyone get to print a Taxfest Boon?
Sahar Hasna |
Thanks a lot GM Mike, you did a great job and it was a lot of fun...especially antagonizing Desmond :)
Hope to meet you all at the virtual table agin soon!
Mike - congrats on your second star!

@Sahar, I guess every group needs a bastard, and I was happy to have Desmond fill that role.
Sahar Hasna |
Sahar will attempt to teach the following scrolls to her familiar:
Blood Transcription - Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (7) + 11 = 18 > DC 17
Fumbletongue - Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 > DC 16
Interrogation - Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22 > DC 16
Alter Self - Spellcraft: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24 > DC 17
Also a total of 7 charges were used off Shan's Wand of CLW. Thank you!
