Grease:

A grease spell covers a solid surface with a layer of slippery grease. Any creature in the area when the spell is cast must make a successful Reflex save or fall. A creature can walk within or through the area of grease at half normal speed with a DC 10 Acrobatics check. Failure means it can't move that round (and must then make a Reflex save or fall), while failure by 5 or more means it falls (see the Acrobatics skill for details). Creatures that do not move on their turn do not need to make this check and are not considered flat-footed.

I'm making an executive decision. Playing after the 17th is meant to be 'like rolling the final combat in the car park after the game store has kicked you out so they can close'. So, I'm going to just have two blocks of initiative: Harbingers and Pathfinders.

And by any measure, they won initiative so the Harbingers are going first.

The Swordsman tries to crawl out of the grease.

Holey Moley! Just realised I made an error: basically, I doubled the rage power of the barbarian. His stat block has him raging and I didn't realise. That's still a hit on Sesotho but the damage is three fewer. That makes a huge difference.

The barbarian smashes his mighty club into Sesotho's chest and the oracle is knocked to the floor.
Sesotho is on -13 hit points. His con score is 14...

Kvina opens her eyes from the last shot, trying to keep her calm and focus despite the amount of blood her companions and their enemies have lost. She however proves to be just in time to see the brute advance on Sesotho and slice open the mage's chest. As the blood sprays her breath starts to come in ragged gulps. As Sesotho's face turns towards her, it is overlaid with a different, much younger face. The wound was the same as That Time, but she'd been much closer, too close. She takes a step back but the lack of oxygen from her shallow rapid breathes causes her vision to darken and The Memory takes her.

It had been a sunny day, with the birds chirping in the sky. The dull grey short swords had been left out on the empty practice grounds and the two of them had been playing at fighting each other. With a laugh she had swung the sword at him, it glinted slightly in the light but he didn't block in time. The blade continued down and sank into his blue shirt with a sickening crunch. His dark blood started to spray, as the color drained from the world...

No! This time it's not my fault, and this time I can do something!

Kvina rights herself from almost falling over as she takes a few seconds to control her breathing before checking on the surroundings. She gives a start as she sees Merisiel standing over the body of the brute. Ok, that's handled, let's try not to think about it. She then glances further down and gives a sigh of relief at the cleric kneeling over Sesotho and the lack of blood flowing from his wounds.

Her look then turns dark as she takes in the rest of the brute's group. "That is it! We haven't done a darned thing to you and yet you threatened us. We offered you the chance to talk things over, to compromise and you instead attack us. And now you almost killed one of my friends. That is it, you die."

Kvina then takes a step to the side, and knocks another arrow to her bow. This time as she releases the arrow at the woman in the headdress, she keeps her eyes open.
