Falko watches in surprise as legionnaires fall left and right of him. With a sigh, he sees Belcamp. He wishes he had a bit more time, but his companions were already suffering from the devil's onslaught...

He springs forth, rapier first, and lunges at the devil: "I guess you're about to die, or whatever it is you do in this prison..."

Carmen curls herself around the devil, invading its mind with her image and drawing its full attention towards her. Seeing the skeletons rise up, Femi shouts, ”Noli me tangere, fratris. Saepi cum fide, nobiles” he hesitates, not really sure how it’s supposed to work, he tries to direct the skeletons to the legionnaires to the south to keep them busy while the party fights. "Go! There! Go there! Attack them!"

Upon seeing Falko fall Isaac begins muttering, "This isn't good. This isn't good."

He then pulls out a little cube and activates it as he sets it down next to him between the dretches and himself. It then unfolds into a little humanoid.

While this is happening he orders the turret to attack the closest dretch.

You did 32 hp of damage with 2 bleed (bleed doesn't stack, I believe). So by my count I'm still up, though not by much. Let me know if I'm missing something.

This check is the same for both Falko's wounds, Iva's and Ottavia's wounds.


After the tense exchange with the Devil, Falko takes the potion, but nothing happens.

"Hum... It's... Not working... I'm bleeding bad. Can somebody help?" he says as he sits down and improvises a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.

"Looks like it stopped, but see to the others! Why didn't the potion work!?"

He then tries to use an incantation to heal his wounds.

When he's done healing those who need it, he takes out his spellbook and consults it a moment (full round). Using a bit of his arcane reservoir, he swaps out Beast Shape I - his escape spell, for Haste to greater aid the party. Femi feels a little nervous giving up his safety net, but his fireballs won't be much good here, so he needs to do something.


"I could use your healing... Lots of it..."

Each casting heals 10hp. I presume your listed HP is prior to my first casting, or you'd be unconscious, so Femi will use the wand twice more. After a couple minutes, he asks, "Feel OK now, or do you need another?"

He offers as well to the others, before tucking the wand away and preparing for the holy water drink.

The lilend says, "Can you please free me? For you to escape, you will need to drink from this pious mount as well as the next one. I am able to help you put the demons in the next vault to sleep.

The lilend creature remaining on the torture rack being constantly pierced by a very large mithral blade says, "My name is Somnia. I am a member of the Azata and I was an inspiration to a few famous artists in Sid Minos about 200 years ago. The Clergy were not so happy about the artist who I was inspiring and thought his works had taken a more blasphemous tone and they brought me here. I was working with Giovanni the painter here in the vaults and then heard Belcamp had gold and with that I could also leave this place, he is also in possession of Srasma's blade." she then nods in the direction of the torture device.

She continues, "I tried to treat with him but the fool had no idea that he could leave with the gold that you are now in possession of. He captured me and I have been his play toy for the better part of 50 years. He enjoys watching me be cut open and slowly heal around the wound. Cannot say I am surprised by a bearded devil."

Iva sets the Lilend free by undoing the crude nature of the torture rack. She then takes the large mithral blade and says, "I thank you greatly for setting me free."

Your group then goes and completes the ritual for this chamber and you get another +1 bonus for the next 24 hours and you all get healed 3d8 + 5 ⇒ (2, 8, 6) + 5 = 21 hp.

You then move towards the next chamber keeping enough distance not to be randomly teleported. The halfway point in this hallway is marked by a 30-foot stretch of carvings of priests along the walls, facing each other.

You then cross the threshold to the next chamber and Somnia the lilend performs her song and the demons fall asleep.

Femi taps Iva with the wand and smiles as she frees the Lilend. He takes out a runestone of power and holds it in his hand for his next spell as he readies for combat... then Somnia puts them all to sleep.

His smile broadens with their new ally, "Thank you for your help. That's most agreeable."

He wonders if the group will slaughter the demons in their sleep or just push by. After his rush to combat in the last chamber, he patiently waits to see where the group's desires lie.
