With two of the team having emerged, the guards focus their attention.
Cyan moves across the walls, and takes a shot at Brallenera.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Which lands way off course....skewering a passing bunny.
Orange drops his bow, and moves towards the stairs, drawing his sword.
Where he takes a defensive stance.
Purple and Yellow move west, preparing actions.

I totally forgot run existed...so could ting have "ran" to the wagon as one move action and climbed over it as the second?

Ting, run is a full-round action
With a quiet word, Mylvwara send her companion, Cariad, scurrying behind the nearby tree. With a slightly louder word, she reminds Carr, "Don't forget, Angel, call out if you want rid of the mist."
Then she quietly casts a spell and disappears (not that anyone can see her anyway, what with the fog...).
The very alert might realise that she has moved along behind her racing allies.

With Mylvwara moving in secrecy, it is on to the next round.

'Need to keep them distracted a little, see if we can get Carr up that wall.' ting rounds the entryway quickly moving to the bottom of the steps, drawing a chakram as he goes, he looks for the wounded waller, yellow throwing the chakram at him. "You's boys' don't mind if we's crash tha parties wroight?"
Haste, AC 21, Move: 20 ft. attack: chakram
attack: 1d20 + 9 + 1 ⇒ (13) + 9 + 1 = 23 for damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Brallenera Thalkham |
Aww, I forgot to add my Barbarian fast movement last round (+10 feet to base speed, so 30 and not 20. So I moved on the map 4 cases.
Is that all right? I'll post my action when you (dis)agree, Chyro
GM Chyro |
Brallenera, sure thing.
As Ting comes around the corner, readied shots go off.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 1d8 ⇒ 4
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (16) + 5 = 21 1d8 ⇒ 5
And yellow, of all, hits him in knee for 5.
The victory is short lived, as Ting's chakram hits him in the chest.
Yellow down.
-----------------------
Cyan and purple open fire on Ting.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19 1d8 ⇒ 8
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16 1d8 ⇒ 1
Unfortunately for them, both miss, but he almost suffered another hit...almost.
Purple takes 5ft step back.
Orange moves forward, and assume stance again.

I'm not going to wait for Brallenera's action before I post, but be aware that it comes after.
Mylvwara relies on her allies' combat skills and decides to make sure there aren't any surprises ahead. She moves around the central structure and has a peek inside.

Brallenera rushes to the battle, and strikes at the guard

And it is just enough to hit.

Mylvwara (posted)
Carr |
Carr finishes his spell of enlargement, doubling in size. He steps closer to the foe at the top of the wall. Trying to determine if I can swing at him.
Carr |
Carr swings at the nearest foe, his extremely forceful blade moving with preternatural speed granted by Foxy.
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (16) + 11 = 27
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (8, 7) + 6 = 21
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (9) + 11 = 20
Damage: 2d8 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2) + 6 = 12
GM Chyro |
And purple bites the dust, as an enlarged weapon hits him between the battlements.

Cyan shoots at Ting.

Crit?: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (12) + 5 = 17 2d8 ⇒ (6, 8) = 14
While not a crit, the hit is painful.
Orange retaliates on Brallenera.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11 1d8 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
He is a failure at fighting dwarves, obviously, his aim is waaaaaayyy aside.

Brallenera's blows are too quick to be precise, and she has trouble adjusting her strikes while under Foxey Lady's spell
Awww.. Hasted but wasted
GM Chyro |
You don't spot anything from your position, nor has anything drawn your attention on your way there.
Ting Tang |
Need to keep that other shooter occupied until Brallenera can clear the stairs.' Ting steps east, so he can see the shooter on the wall a little clearer, drawing a chakram he throws it at the remaining thief on the wall. "Don't you's worry yer self, Missy! GM Chyro |
Wall is 15 feet high, you are 10 feet. :P
Cyan takes a hit for 11, while Brallenera misses with her attacks.
Carr tries talking to the guard nearby, but the man isn't interested....at least not yet?

Cyan returns fire at Ting.

It's tricky to immediately spot Mylvwara like this. I like that option for the icon. :)
Don't mind if i borrow that method for my future games. :)
Mylvwara sees the tips of some of the inner walls' decorations.
They are old, but still recognizable as bald headed men, some with prayer beads around their necks.

Brallenera attacks again, using what is left of the elf's magic to strike twice

You told purple, actually. ;)
"Nooooo!"....*uck...*
Cyan's panicking is cut short, as Carr hews horizontally upwards, finishing this conflict.
Ting Tang |
'Well I hope none of theses guys is the fella we were supposed to talk to.' Ting quickly gathers his chakrams, then inspects the bodies, to see if any were alive. "Do you's t'ink we's should try an' speak's ta any of 'em?" Also taking a moment to got through there pockets.
ting will take 10(21) on perception searching the bodies. And roll heal checks to see if any are alive.
purple: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 1 = 21
cyan: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
yellow: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
orange: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11
GM Chyro |
Ting determines purple and Cyan are still alive, the latter though is halfway to the grave. He is alive, but pretty wounded.
They carried bows, leather, and handaxes.
Mylvwara Elberion |
Coming down from the parapet, Mylvwara rejoins the group and then cancels her invisibility.
"Experience suggest that this is the kind of place where the boss is going to have all of the finest equipment. And give a lot of orders. He'll stand out, I expect."
She then reports to the group, "The inner chamber is empty except for many statues, of which I am suspicious, and stairwells heading down. One might surmise that the true lair lies beneath the ground?"
Mylvwara heads to the castle wall and signals Cariad to return to her, then continues her monologue, "I will probe for signs of enchantment before we enter. How well are we equipped for exploration and combat underground?"
How do we feel about 15 minutes to prepare some more spells now?
Mylvwara Elberion |
"Oh, yes, by all means: we should know as much as we can." She looks at her bag, remembers that its mostly just books, "Does anyone have any rope?"
Carr |
Carr heaves an overdramatic sigh, hustling around the barrier, and lays hands on... whichever one he runs into first.
Healing: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
GM Chyro |
Carr goes with the one most likely to pull through, and revives purple.
The man's eyes slowly open, and he peers up into the skies, before looking around to see you four.
He is smart enough to not make sudden moves.
"Err...so, what do you want. You've kept me alive for a reason."
Mylvwara Elberion |
"You tried to steal from us. You were disappointingly poor at it, but you tried. We are practical and ingenious people; we would like to meet your employer."
