I do not like the way that it is implemented, but:

Feats & Abilities-> Misc-> Optional Rule Systems-> Rule - Use Background Skills

Then Add the Background Skills through:

Feats & Abilities-> Class Features-> Category(Background Skill)

Finding where they buried the background skills, I would say you are off to a very good start.

Hmmm... For some reason, PCGen thinks Barkot should know 5 1st level spells.

I am seeing 3 from the Oracle known spells list, plus Cure Light Wounds. Hero Lab seems to agree with that (@Barkot you currently have too few spells selected in your portfolio, unless I am missing something)

I can't see where PCGen is getting the extra spell known from, so it isn't filling me with a lot of confidence right now.

Edit: Ah! The bonus spell from the Mystery. I was wondering why Disguise Self showed up on the spell list when I hadn't selected it... *facepalm*

I’m not sure if you’re still seeing a problem, but when I look at the portfolio, it shows Barkot with five 1st level spells known: Bane, CLW, Disguise Self, Eyes of the City, and Shield of Faith. Is that what you have now?

Squint - you probably posted this early in the game, but I’ve forgotten and I’m curious: what’s the mechanic with the Will save when trying to speak in public? Is that your drawback?

I understand the idea behind the mechanic, but it is only tangentially related to his drawback.

Got it - well, it makes for an interesting character.

It's tangential to my drawback and relatively voluntary.

In essence, Squint had mutism. He still reverts to it when stressed out and specifically around people of renown and authority.

It's a fear-based Will save, hence the +2 to my roll in addition to my base Will save.

Pure flavour: you've got a summoner who has difficulty summoning words.

Squint would very much like to keep the pendant, if that's ok. It's worth 4000gp, so that probably wipes out any proceeds that I'd get from plunder. What do y'all reckon?

As for the pendant, it's fine with me. It's more valuable by itself than all the other items we found this last run through the Crow, but we're not done yet and it will even out. It's a good item, worth keeping.

For me, it was just about getting hammered at the office yesterday after a week away. Will post this morning.

FOR PURCHASES: With Squint keeping the Pendant of the Souk and assuming nobody else is keeping anything, the total sale value of the other items we found (through the Society, at 45% value for gear) is 556.00gp. Divided 3 ways - taking the pendant as Squint's share - we each get 185.33gp. I'll update the tab with the loot split this evening.

I appreciate the offers to kick in on Barkot's lesser restorations, but he had enough cash on hand. Contribute something to the medkit if you feel the urge and we'll call it square. Speaking of which, I will take suggestions for the medkit until the party heads out of the Manor again.

EDIT: I forgot about the reward. Squint, do you need cash, or should we divide it 3 ways as well to help even things out?

GM, as we haven't really moved on since leveling up, would you have any objection to replacing Iron Will with Scribe Scroll for Barkot's level 3 feat? I'm considering building towards the Runeguard prestige class from Path of the Righteous. I just came across it when I was looking at various prestige classes tied to the empyreal lords and noticed that it's only available to worshippers of Soralyon, so when am I ever going to get another chance to play one? Scribe Scroll is one of the prerequisites, and I was planning to take it anyway, just a little later on.

GM - While you're thinking about the Runeguard class, please also consider two feats from the same book:

Did something happen? Is he dead?

No kidding, this happened to a rogue of mine once. While scouting, I got teleported to another area of the dungeon and had no idea how to get back (even though it was totally obvious to everyone except for me).

Alone, surrounded by enemies, no idea where I was... Fortunately a potion of invisibility allowed me to sneak into a hidey place until the GM ruled that the rest of the party had gotten anxious enough to follow me through the teleporter...

That rogue was always getting himself into trouble...
