Winning a Scenario?

Pg 18, Ending a Scenario....2nd paragraph
"If the players meet the conditions for winning on the scenario card, your group defeats the scenario and earns the reward listed on the scenario card."

None of the scenarios in the Beginner Box (haven't looked at Burnt Offerings scenarios yet) have conditions for winning listed.

Are we to assume that the default Win condition is defeating the Villain? I'm thinking "yes."

Yes. Many scenarios have other conditions, but if it's unspecified, then you just have to defeat the villain and stop him from escaping.
