Jake cuts down the lead zombie in the burial mask as the rest of the Pathfinders aptly deal with the remainder.

It seems that the burial mask has a unique effect, which was bolstering these undead's abilities. Constant Desecrate Aura.

After regrouping, the Pathfinders climb up the ladder to the deck of the ship. The soft glow
of sunlight again penetrates into this ice cave, and several braziers burn near the walls. A beautiful woman stands next to a simple chair, facing you. Beginning at 3rd level, whenever the card caster randomly draws and throws a harrow card matching one axis of his alignment, the card's critical threat range increases to 19–20. If the card caster draws and throws a harrow card matching his alignment exactly, the attack's critical multiplier also increases to x3 and the magus gains a +4 bonus on his confirmation roll.

I have a Harrow Deck I can draw from, but is there a way you'd like me to do it so that you can see it online?


AFAIK, this ability doesn't work via PbP as there is no mechanism for it in the forum coding. I am asking IronHelixx (Online VC) if he has a suggestion for the ability. Hold off until this gets resolved?

If a week goes by, then I will figure something out.

Sure. But this is Graz's MO. Both the guards at the jarl's house and the harbormaster were holding out, and Intimidate is how Graz, a known brawler and pit-fighter responds. Other characters are built for Diplomacy, but he is not. There are times when physical intimidation isn't called for, but its just been two consecutive situations where it was. He won't threaten everyone he meets, and he won't actually kill anyone in cold blood, but Chaotic isn't Lawful. His approach is rough and tumble. He will offer to fight people (as he did with the guards) or scare them into submission (as he did with the Harbormaster) with no intention of killing them outright. Sorry if his role-play offends, and I can cut it back if it's a real issue, but doesn't seem that offensive to me.

I don't see his behavior as either criminal (borderline, I suppose, but so is picking certain locks) or against the Pathfinder code. It's just an effective means to an end. I understand why others of a Lawful bent might not like it, but that's what Intimidate looks like.


I think that that is perfectly acceptable. It's not offensive roleplay, but you haven't really given a reason why he immediately assumes he has to fight everyone.

For example, I mentioned that you move into the villa courtyard and see two guards. Your first post was the equivalent of "Let us in or I will have to kill you". No mention of being a Pathfinder or having business. The guards guarding the door were not holding out before you had even interacted with them. Same goes for the Harbormaster. You go into a place and the man brushes you off because he's busy. He runs a harbor and giving away information isn't in anyone's interest in Absalom. Try going to a local store and asking to see their records. It just won't happen.

I guess my point is that Intimidate is useful and I could definitely see your posts being awesome, but not when it is literally the first words out of your character's mouth when you meet a new person.

Food for thought. You can play your character how you like, obviously.


I copy you, boss. Appreciate the feedback and will tone it down some, at least let the Diplomacy fans have their time before Graz starts cracking heads and taking names.
