Jonas steps up and readies an attack while Jokbur sinks an arrow into one of the creatures, and it appears to not damage it as much as he expected. As the creatures move to attack Jonas, he manages to hit the one that Jokbur damaged, but misses with his follow up swings. The two creatures bite at Jonas, but cannot find an opening. Ariella then send some fire at one but cannot connect.

Qui does a marvelous pirouette which results in his blade making a beautiful arc nowhere near its intended target.


Jonas knew they were too fast and in too close to employ his usual weapon. The polearm clattered to the ground. He drew a heavy mace from his belt and swung at the one in front of him, raising his shield high and trying to keep himself between them and his allies.

I'll DMPC Hermann since he is gone on vacation

Hermann once again stabs with his longspear #2 leaving another wound. His hit as well the others seem to be partially absorbed by these creatures, though wounds are appearing and they are getting hurt. Ariella's fire bolt hit the creature but was unaffected by it.

As Edmund's force bolt misses, the one closest to him shrugs off the blindness, but is not yet clear headed enough to attack

All, do not waste your spells. These guys are stunned and/or blinded. Lets try to take them down.

Hermann stabs once again at the unblinded one and connects with a solid piercing blow, partially resisted, but finally killing it.

Looks like Hermann can wrap this up in two rounds, before the other one gets unstunned

So back to cabinet 2, Jokbur had found a number of books in this cabinet:

A sixth book that does not seem to match the others. The sixth book has no title on the cover, and the thick leather binding is held closed with a massive lock.

Jokbur carried the book to Edmund after he opened the book and carefully examined it for possible booby-traps.

Jokbur returns to searching the cabinets at a safe distance from the others. He does not wait for Edmund to do this.

He will hand the other books to Ariella before returning to the cabinets.
"These books may be of interest to you. They seem valuable."

Cabinet 3 contains a row of twenty bottles of liquid.

Edmund cracks open the book he checks it out for a few minutes and realizes it is a book of demons called The tome of Draav. It contains the name and descriptions of a large number of demons. Paging through you notice there are many hand written notes spread through. Further investigation will take approximately 30 minutes of study

Jokbur opens the bottles and uses his smell and a small taste to see if he can identify them.

After Jokbur has finished searching the cabinets, he does a quick look for secret doors. Then he looks apprehensively at the hand prints.

"We ready to go?"


Jonas shrugs. "I am."

Jokbur checks the 20 bottles of liquid

5 Bottles are some kind of urine sample
2 bottles are some sort of healing potion
4 have a weird taste but seem to be harmless
8 bottles smell like medicine of some sort, yet not healing potions or magical

And 1 bottle requires a Fortitude Save

Don't forget you have 2 cabinets yet to go in this room!

Jokbur shows obvious distaste at some of the bottles.

Then explores two more cabinets.


One of the former? medicines seems to have gone really bad over the years, Jokbur begins to taste but quickly realizes it is deadly and spits it out before any harm can come to him.


Jokbur moves to the 4th cabinet after searching it for traps he is satisfied and opens it. As you open it a mass of green slime You have seen its like before dripping from the ceiling on the first level comes sliding out about to cover and splatter you.

Reflex save to avoid!

Jokbur manages to jump out of the way in time to avoid getting splattered by the rush of green slime that comes out of the cabinet. It now sits as a pool of slime in front of the empty cabinet.
