I always reference Entropic Shield when it comes to percentages. Or heck, anything with a differing percentage than 50%.
Like the armor special ability light fortification which is 25%. The roll has to be 25% or below for that to make it not a crit. Or as the above spell, the roll has to be 20% or below to make an arrow miss.
For me, it just seems easier to roll with it that way and I'm not like, "Well, is it higher or lower that should hit? Should I flip a coin? Should I do this or do that?" or blah, blah, blah and all that good stuff. :)

@Cyrus: Which tents(there are 3 sizes) and how many did you want to get? Let me know so I can take care of the cost on those.
Well, let's see...we've got the following characters with us, with size:
1) Cyrus (M)
2) Droguk (M)
3) Natasza (S)
4) Natasha (M)
5) Kobad (M)
6) Nadya (M)
7) Orm (S)
8) Mjoli (S)
The tent descriptors say that two small characters count as one medium for the purposes of tent fittings. All joking aside, Cyrus would never try to impose himself on Nadya and her children as far as rooming arrangements were concerned.
So..we need tents enough for 7 (rounded from 6.5) people. The easiest way to achieve that would be two medium tents and one large tent. I would suggest the following sleeping arrangements, though I'm sure we're all open to suggestion:
Tent 1: Droguk and Kobad
Tent 2: Cyrus and Natasha
Tent 3: Nadya, Orm, Mjoli, and Natasza.
With that arrangement, there's a martial fighter paired with each caster, Nadya stays in the tent with her children as well as the person on the trip she is probably most familiar with, and Droguk doesn't have to bunk with the (GASP!) winter witch. Natasha has nothing to fear; Cyrus has nothing in particular against the witches in general and, besides, is more into gingers. ;)
The total cost for that would be 60 GP.

Sounds fine.
As far as watch goes: how about Cyrus, Droguk, then whoever after that. Can we watch in 4 hour increments? How long is the night typically? Not sure what time it is when camp is set up.
Just wanna make sure all the casters get 8 hours rest.
GM Bali
Works for me I just need to know who is after Cyrus. Three 4 hour watches would cover a nights rest for all involved. Nadya would be willing to take the last watch if you'd like.

So as you all may have noticed over the last couple weeks my posting has been rather sporadic. As it stands my life is in a bit of a mess between moving, looking for a new job, some legal proceedings and my wife having recently had a pretty hefty medical procedure. All in all I don't have a lot of mental bandwidth to keep up with my games at the moment and I don't forsee that changing until at least the middle of June if not longer.
As such, to not hold you all up I will step down. Maybe at some point in the future I can join back up with you all. I've had a lot of fun and was really looking forward to seeing how this game progressed but I don't want to hold you all back while I get things sorted in my life.
Cyrus Laskaris
Sorry to see you go; it was a lot of fun having you with the group. I completely understand real-life stuff happening; I hope that your situation improves for you at the pace you would like for it to.
GM Bali
Permission to exit is of course denied :).
If it's ok with the party and Natasha I'm going to bot her for now. We've got a fair amount of "making our way there" adventures to go so if thinks free up mid-June or July I think you'll be good to hop back in.
Here's hoping :)
Natasha Aelena
Thanks! Wouldn't have asked for as much but that is when I am expecting things to settle a bit.
GM Bali
That's correct. I have to go back and check but I believe you've had four to five days of rest. It's safe to assume Natasha and Natasza would have done some healing during that time so we'll reset to full (minus your arrow wound :)

Does anyone know the HP of me and Tough?
According to this post: LINK you've taken 12 damage.
But I don't see a reflex save for Tough so I don't know about him.
GM Bali
That's correct and Natasha is actually at 12 HP.
No worries on the mistake, I almost had Nadya take a hit because the bird had a high fly check rather than attack roll :)
Javell DeLeon
Man that was an awesome crit. I don't recall ever rolling a crit confirm and critting again! I may have done it once in all my years on these boards but it's a tough one to recall.
And it couldn't have come at a better time. These stinking rangers have sent these birds and this wolf in as fodder. Just a distraction as they pepper us from afar.
Gotta say, that's a great plan. Fantastically clever.

I want to apologize to everyone for my lack of consistent posting lately; real-life has hit me like a ton of bricks in the last eight weeks. I haven't said anything to the group about it because I've never been one to burden others with my own problems, but it's also not fair to everyone else for me to keep things to myself when it might slow the game down, so I think it's time I let the cat out of the bag.
To make a long story short and not go any more in depth than I need to, after eight weeks of separation I've asked my wife for a divorce. Thankfully, we have no children and she's agreed after several long talks not to contest it; we've also worked out property distribution on our own, so there will (thankfully) be no attorneys involved. Even so, it was the most difficult decision I've ever had to make in my life.
I'm not ashamed to say that my faith in God has been a big part of what's kept me going these last weeks; if any of you are praying people, please know that I would covet any word you may send to the Father on my behalf and on behalf of my wife. This is going be a very difficult transitional period for us both.
GM Bali
Sorry to hear it Cyrus but as Natasza said sometimes the best course is hard in the short term but better in the long term. I'm sure it goes without saying but take any time you need and we'll be here when you're ready.
We'll be praying for the two of you.
Cyrus Laskaris
Just wanted to pop into the discussion thread and let you guys know that I'm back for right now; hopefully there won't be a time when I'm gone again for so long. I'm about to be going on vacation with some of my family so there may be some times when I can't post, but I shouldn't be gone for days on end like I was this time.
Just to give everyone an update on the situation, all the legal stuff is pretty much handled now. I filed for the divorce and have a court date set, which my wife is probably not even going to come to. With all the paperwork filed and everything more-or-less settled I should be back on track to keep up with the AP again.
Let me again express my gratitude to Bali, and everyone else, for being patient with me as I got all this stuff taken care of. If anything else comes up, I'll definitely let y'all know, but I'm hoping nothing else is going to spring up that knocks me for a loop the way I have been.
Kobad the Sorcerer
important info concerning me
with Paizo new server update I may have lost access from work which will greatly reduce my posting ability.
I still have access at home, but not on my nook nor my phone anymore.
I have to check my work computer again when I get the chance but so far it didn't work.

To get input from the group at large before I make any final decision regarding targets...would it be worth trying to deal lethal damage to the mold? We don't know how it would react if we were to knock Finngarth completely unconscious; it might end up ultimately killing him or it might end up coming after one of us as an immediately available host.
If we try to deal lethal damage and kill the mold outright we run the risk of accidentally hurting Finngarth, and possibly even killing him if we get a "lucky" crit or something.
So...what are everyone's thoughts? Same plan? Try to knock Finngarth out and separate the mold from him before dealing with it directly?
Javell DeLeon
This is a bit meta but please let me know when attacking if you're attacking Finngrath or the mold. Also my prior post was unclear but the fort save I rolled was for Druguk to resist the wisdom damage. You made the save so there's no Wisdom damage currently.
@Bali: Oh okay. I was thinking the wisdom damage was automatic and the save was for something additional. Well that's cool.
And I didn't realize we had a choice on who/what to attack. I just figured they were a whole. I gotta say, it seems weird.
@Cyrus: Heck I don't know. I'm at a complete loss on this one.
I guess we go with the 'Same plan' bit. That's what I guess Droguk will do. Try to knock out the guy and then deal with the mold.
I don't guess we made any kind of Knowledge check on how to beat this thing, have we?
Cyrus Laskaris
I suppose Cyrus could try another Knowledge check to see if he knows any specific information about how to deal with the mold; I was operation under the assumption that the check I made before told me all I was gonna find out.
GM Bali
Cyrus, and the others who rolled chacks, know all they know at this point. Time for our brave adventurers to choose their path :)
GM Bali
I was chuckling at your earlier post Cyrus but it definitely took me some thinking to figure out how the couple would respond. :)
Cyrus Laskaris
Always happy to keep you on your toes, Bali! Seems like that would just be the "logical" thing that a lot of people would think. It is true, after all, that many female fay take great delight in seducing, enchanting, or otherwise bending the will of mortal men to their whims and fancies.
