@Ander&Uret:

Indeed, bills have been eating away at my funds so I have not been able to purchase it either yet, but I sure will whenever I get the chance. My friend has told me about all sorts of things that the DLC includes and how he plays the game, but he made sure to leave out spoilers xD He keeps telling me to hurry up and get it though so he can have someone to talk to the spoilers about.

I loved 3 and New Vegas, so 4 naturally had me hyped up. Can't wait to jump on that ball, but I gotta see if it's Mac compatible first :(

Just blatant curiosity, how are you going to be selecting your players? :) Will it be RNG or just picking the ones that have interesting characters+passion for them? Or do you have some other secret, zen method to choosing?

Still here. I'm working on Farz, my Ratfolk Psychic/Occultist.

He'd get Skymetal Smith, Local Ties or, with some minor refluffage, Robot Killer or Numerean Archaeologist.

Question, would you allow Vishkanya race?

@ Veronica: I'll be choosing based off character story's and personality. Mechanically, I'll just be looking to ensure its rules legal. So, there's a chance of a hole in the traditional roles, but with the Gestalt and high point buy this may be a none issue. To those who struggle a bit with writing that is fine. Just ensure your background doesn't read "TL;DR: My character just popped into existence spontaneously."

@Cuàn: Looking forward to seeing him.

@Ishwor: Vishkanya will be fine.

@All others: I know there are a lot of posts I haven't responded to yet. The week got a little hectic, but I'll try to clear the backlog before going to bed tonight.

Great! Here is my submission. I think I have everything in the character you had asked for, but please let me know if I messed something up or something is missing.

Speaking of Backlogs: You mentioned the possibility of Empathy losing its 'feat' status. Have you made a decision there?

@Veronica: I’ve fixed your Hero Lab .por. Please check your PMs.

@Reverend Rob: A “batch” of ammo is up to 25% your available wealth.

@Anderlorn: I’ll allow Sohei Monk to add Firearms as a weapon’s group.

@Anderlorn: Non-technological firearms will be in the “Emerging” category for the first few books. Technological firearms will still be “Very Rare.” As for finding them while adventurering, it looks like I’ll need to make judgment call on when, where, and which ones to add as loot. There are about 5 firearms by the end of book 3 found as written.

@Nutcase: Aside from the level one 1 point craft/profession change, Background Skills will be run as written in Unchained.

@Android Characters: Empathy will be considered an ART, and as such needs to be taken at level 1. As there’s good odds of this being an Android heavy group, I will restrict how many can select Empathy once the party is selected.

Current Submissions:
I’ve only listed characters that have provided sheets so far.

Veronica Miller – Half-Elf Gunslinger / Unarmed Fighter (Stargazer or Local Ties)
Elise Kozilek – Human Gunslinger (Musket Master) / Alchemist (Local Ties or Against the Techniq)
Sarona Epilson – Android Cleric (Iron Priestess of Brigh ) / Rogue (Numerian Scavenger) (Local Ties)
Issac Fulmen – Human Kinetcist (Aero) / Ranger (Deep Walker) (Robot Slayer)
Tesla Gossamer – Android Slayer / Arcanist (Numerian Archeaologist)
Ozak Daggertooth – Half-Orc Inquisitor / Slayer (Robot Slayer or Against the Technic League
Eternally Broken – Android Investigator / Swashbuckler (Numerian Archaeologist)
Kotar Soja’s – Gunsling (Techslinger) / Monk (Sohei)
Reverend Rob – Gunslinger (Musket Master) / Warpriest (Against the Technic, Local Ties, or Stargazer)
Talon[/url – Android Gunslinger (techslinger) / Wizard (Spellslinger) (Undecided)
[url=]Ironface
– Cleric [Iron Priest] / Wizard (Skymetal Smith)
Valerius Rex – Gunslinger (Gun Tank/Techslinger) / Magus (Mymidarch) Numerian Archeolgoist
Boss Zog – Android Unchained Rogue (Scavenger) / Wizard (Metal Domain) (Against the Technic League)

**Again, if I’ve missed adding your character, please let me know!
**Characters are listed in order of submission (mostly).

Human Unchained Monk//Cleric (Crusader) would be fun.
Thinking Stargazer for his campaign trait.

Hello! I'm a PBP newbie looking to get feet wet, figuratively speaking, with a PBP campaign. As a fan of all things magitech, I was pretty happy to see this as one of the first open recruitments.

If you're willing to take a chance on a newbie, I will probably stat up an idea that I have had for a while, an Alchemist with the Promethean Alchemist and Chirurgeon archetypes. I am unsure of what I may gestalt it with at the moment.

The character will offer (hopefully) a compelling backstory and a great deal of utility. While not a walking apocalypse by any means, the support that it can offer should more than make up for a lack of massive bursts of damage.

While I know that anything even resembling a Summoner is probably autobanned, based on outcry amongst many gamers against pet-centric classes since the early days, I hope that you do not mind the Promethean Alchemist. It is rather balanced as far as general power levels and has some great fluff for building a background upon.

Alright--I'm going to alter Sarona's starting racial traits to have Empathy.

I'm assuming the CHA requirement is the same?

@Vampire Kitty: Being a new PbP DM myself, a new PbP player is no issue! I'll look at the Promethean Alchemist after work tonight.

@All: I'm going to be inputting characters into Hero Lab starting tonight for mechanics validation. The program is not flawless, but its good enough and any discrepancies between rules and programming we'll iron out. If you use Hero Lab please PM a link to your .por. This will save me a lot of time.

DM, any chance you've got an email address to which we can send the HeroLab file?

I'm happy to send you the .por, but I'm not sure how to get it to you via a link (forgive my minor technological ineptitude). Like Redblad8, I'm happy to email it if you would be okay with that?

I personally love Drop Box for sharing files online :) It hasn't given me any trouble yet - if DM doesn't want to share his e-maail, you could always use that site. They make sharing files via URL super easy ^^

@DM: Thanks for checking out my file xD When I open up the one you sent back though, it gives me the same error message, so I must not have installed the Gestalting feature properly. I've searched the entire under "Configure your Hero" and still cannot even find a box to tick for it xD I'll figure it out though - did her file validate good too? :)

Again, you'll have to forgive the aforementioned tech ineptitude. I've not really used drop box before, so I'm completely unfamiliar. If I could have a quick idea of what I need to do I'm happy to submit that way.

4d6 - 2 - 1 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 1) - 2 - 1 + 6 = 12
4d6 - 2 - 1 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2, 1, 1) - 2 - 1 + 6 = 13
4d6 - 2 - 1 + 6 ⇒ (6, 2, 2, 1) - 2 - 1 + 6 = 14
4d6 - 2 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (2, 2, 3, 3) - 2 - 2 + 6 = 12
4d6 - 2 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (4, 2, 3, 2) - 2 - 2 + 6 = 13
4d6 - 3 - 2 + 6 ⇒ (3, 6, 6, 2) - 3 - 2 + 6 = 18

Well that's discouraging.

Well, good thing the GM is using a 45-point buy instead of the dice-rolling method, eh?

Hello GM! NarcoticSqurl here, I decided to go with a Human Fighter/Kineticist instead of the Half-Elf I'd originally thought of. The character crunch is in the profile, I'll update with a backstory for you within a day or so. We (my wife, daughter and I) are getting ready to go to chicago for 4 days, so I'll be updating from a Tablet on hotel wi-fi! Glad to (mostly) get my submission in.

At Uret Jet and Veronica:

I'm still working on fluff with Taru but I've finished most of the crunch, including likely feats for level progression, if you want the sheet for your character lab it's Here

Ah! Excellent! I'll be throwing together a Cyber-Soldier Fighter/Mindtech Psychic

How many rounds in a batch of ammo? 30?

I'd love to throw my hat into this! I'm going Paladin Fighter, wanting to really try out a tanky build that uses Cut from the Air. I've made this character to RP like Alex Louis Armstrong from Fullmetal Alchemist and while Pali/Fighter doesn't make the most out of Gestalt, I could never argue that Armstrong wouldn't be a paladin. If I join, prepare for me to mention the Vulfhousen bloodline quite a bit xD

@Alexander:
HIS HOLY STRENGTH HAS BEEN PASSED DOWN THE VULFSHOUSEN BLOODLINE FOR GENERATIONS!

So many new and interesting characters! I'd hope everyone got in, but the stakes are high...

Any word on the Promethean Alchemist, GM?

hehe gonna be fun xD

I'm tempted to shift my concept over to a snarky fire-Mage or a short and short tempered cyber-soldier/transmutation specialist

Would you allow this trait?

The basic idea behind it is that you have had some Druidic training. In case of my character it would be growing up in a warren led by some ratfolk druids who took my character as an apprentice before the warren got destroyed by a robot gone haywire. The character would have partially continued their work as a xeno-ecologist and xeno-anthroplogist (he studies the alien life forms that wander Numeria and how they impact the world).

The reason I'm asking is because it was originally written associated with a specific area of Golarion in mind yet isn't a regional trait. The basic flavor is easy to replicate though.

I'm trying to fix some encumbrance problems, then I'll be finished 100% (curse this game where even your clothes give you encumbrance).

Reverend Rob wrote:

Lol I'm holding off on misc equipment until I know Veronica's in or not ;P I tend to tailour starting equipment based on the campaign's setting.

@Anderlorn:

Oh lol, I remember when the Cars mod came out xD There's a lot of talented modders out there! Looks at Apocalypse Armoury and Iron Sights. Ahhh, those really improved my FO3 experience x3

I don't think the clothes you start with actually count towards your encumbrance...

Dragoncat wrote:

They didn't in 3.5 but in PF they do.

Better put: 3.5 specifically says they don't count. PF contains no such language.

In 3.5 neither your clothes nor armour counted... those were happy days for Str 11 chars...

I'll be applying with a Fighter/Psychic, 1 level dip in Gunslinger.

All characters start with a free starting outfit would cost 10gp or less. This outfit does not count toward encumbrance.

Yep, that's what I was referring to. :D

As I'm inputting characters I'm seeing two recurring issues. One of which is my fault.

1) Traits: No trait that alter starting wealth or similiar effect. i.e. Rich Parents, Chosen Child, Signature Item, Just Like New, etc... This one I should have called out in the original post. My appologies.

2) For those who use Hero Lab, please enable Iron Gods at the bottom of the config screen (ctrl+k) to be able to select campaign traits, rather than inputting them as a custom trait.
The player options are free, and this will also help later as you find campaign specific items.

Reverend Rob wrote:

If you can afford it masterwork backpacks treat str as 1 higher for carry cap iirc

Hey GM, any word on the Promethean Alchemist?

@Vampire Kitty: Promethean Alchemist looks acceptable, theirs only one thing that makes me weary. Being a construct only is decent boon, so we'll use following house-rule:

Do to their close bond Homunculus count as Construct and the same Type (subtype) as their master. This is the same as how Androids count as constructs and humanoids for determining which effects can target them.

@Cuan: House of Green Mothers Pupil (Magic) is allowed.

@Anderlorn: Let's say upto 25% of your starting wealth can be spent on crafted ammo.

Similar to Pathfinder Zoey, I've got my crunch done but haven't written the background, yet. My character sheet is available here.

The name is in flux and is just a placeholder. Local Ties and Against the Technique League are the only starting traits I don't feel makes sense for my character, though Skymetal Smith, and Robot Killer are significantly more fitting. Likewise I still need to pick that second trait once I've worked out my background a bit better.

Note that my Order does a lot less for me if my character doesn't gain morale bonuses. I believe I spent every dime of wealth I have (which fits for someone who thinks they might be going to their doom :p). Likewise, prepared spells are based on the fact that others have gone and haven't returned.

@Hotaru: Sounds good, I'm in the middle of trying to validate everyone mechanically. With any luck I'll have them all scrubbed today.

@All: To make it easier for people to see what's need to be corrected, I'm sharing a link to a google doc for the validation notes.

I'd welcome either xD

@Lord 33 I'm seeing on the character the character validation page your asking about Hallit. That should be the regional human language of numeria. Are we using the human dialects for language or will it just be common for humans?

Re: Paz: I somehow managed to forget to reduce my level 0s prepared. I've unprepared prestidigitation for now. (Looking good takes a back seat to friends being able to see (if needed) and being able to recognize a danger if he takes the time to study it).

I did forget my Favored Class bonus, and it does go in HP!

Paz gets his Katana free as an Arcane Bond from Soul Forger. That's also the source of my '+1' on the first level spells/day slot.

(And speaking of languages, I also have to pick those.)

Finally: There Paz will take Craft Magical Arms and Armor at level 5; Soul Forgers are especially good at working with weapons and armor. :)

@Hotaru: Changes noted. Your good now.

@Thrawn: For now use Common + Int bonus languages + Linguistics. Once the party is selected, regional languages will be hashed out in the discussion thread.

@All: 8 characters have been inputted. I'm going cross-eyed, so I'll do more tomorrow.
