Quib-Quib Boomie is my name
Making big boom is my game
If I like you it be small
If I don't then you lose all!

Quib-Quib Boomie is a renegade goblin from the Firewalker tribe out of the Calphiak Mountains. Forced to flee after being found guilty of the heinous crime of writing words in his formula book, he took to journeying across the country, looking for new ingredients to increase the power of his bombs.

Quib-Quib is not as chaotic and twisted as the rest of his kind, devoting his life to all things explosive. He hunts down monsters, looking for ways to incorporate them into his experiments. He has found himself outside of Sandport before a big festival, judging by the decorations and pavilions being set up.

Bombs go boom into the night
Causing beasts to flee in fright
Quib-Quib Boomie here to play
Quib-Quib Boomie here to stay!

I agree, while I prefer to play the investigator, I'll start fooling around with another build maybe a devine caster of some type. What do you think GM?

Quib-Quib Boomie be a tricksy mage. Quib-Quib Boomie just use drinksy than spellsy.

Everyone who asked if they should tweak their characters, go ahead, I'll consider them. Also, there is until Sunday for more submissions.

Quick question, would you allow a werebatkin witch? if so i can roll it up in the next few hours.

How about Young Character with PFS' "screw ability score adjustments from age categories"?

Come to think of it, what about Unchained's background skills?

Wow, this AP has certainly garnered a lot of interest!

That said, I've decided on my changeling oracle to submit, Elurel Seadaughter. She's not a typical oracle build, but should be all the more interesting because of that.

About Me:
For full disclosure, I have run this AP up through the end of the 4th module. I no longer have the PDFs, but I still remember general major plot points. That said, after 30 years of gaming, both online and offline, I'm well able to separate IC and OOC knowledge. I currently work as an on-call nurse, so my work hours are all over the place, but I can certainly post at least once per day without issue.

You know too much melee in my life at the moment, I'll stick with the current charector Corrin. :)

DM, are you allowing drawbacks? also I should mention. I played the first book as a table top game. Back when it first came out 3.5 our group was very small (2 player) so a lot of it was nerfed. also why we never finished

Quib-Quib Want to link up our background stories? Thinking you saved me on the trip to sandpoint. That way I can vouch for you in town, as a tame goblin.

Silver Crusade

Dot.

Also, I see your goblin rhyeme and raise you one. Courtesy of my very own gobo alchemist. Ha-ha.
Now everyone sing with me!
℅Spark spark and kaboom it goes
Keeping the goblins on their toes!
Longshanks run and longshanks flee
From the Bombs of Mr. biggs you see!
Fires spit and mixes bubble
Goblins be needing trouble
In the dark or bright sunlight
These bombs set towns and homes alight
So Goblins dance in the flames
Cuz it’s all just for fun and games!

On the dot note. I'm not sure what I will be submitting just yet.

Silver Crusade

Dang... I kinda want to play a ranger >.>..... Maybe I can talk myself into an arcane caster of sorts. Hmmmm

I've decided I wont get to play her in CC, so I retooled the story a bit, and quite easily worked her into this one. Let me know if she is OK for this. Note, the stats in the side bars are wrong. It's just not letting me edit them from my phone... She is my run at a blaster wizard.

Maybe the Arcane Bomber or Spellslinger archetypes, depending on your boom preference?

Grown a bit attached to maia, never got to play her sadly, but I want to try out the blaster caster without the sorcerer dip shenanigans ha-ha.

As promised here's Alric Magnus, Human Magus (Kensai Archetype)

Story Traits: Scholar of the Ancients, Self-Taught Scholar

Full Stat Block in Alias Linked above.

Appearance:
Alric Magnus is 5’8” 155 lbs., but is stronger than he looks. He has pale skin and dark wavy hair that always seems a bit unkempt. His dark blue (almost black) cloak covers, but doesn’t hide a sharp, curved blade on his side, as well as a dagger on his belt. In his downtime, Alric always seems to be scattering his parchment about the table he sits at, studying his research. He gets so enthralled, he barely notices his surroundings and other people.

Background:
It’s a crisp, clear day about midmorning in the Calphiak Mountains. A young man of 22 sits in the middle of what was once a meditation room of a ruined Thassilonian monastery pouring over the faded markings on the floor and a pile of parchment strewn about. Only the ancient walls can hear him mumble to himself. ”I missing something, I know it. I can make the connections, but what do they mean? I’ve been working on this for a better part of three years and still haven’t . . .” Before he can finish his thought, he’s interrupted.

”Alric! You in here. .. there you are.” A smaller, younger man comes running into the room holding out a parchment. ”I know I’m early, but this requires your immediate attention.”

Alric takes the parchment, and reads through it. As he reads the letter, his already pale face loses whatever color he had. After reading he looks up at the messenger, ”This is dated Three WEEKS AGO! Why am I just now hearing about it!?! I’ve got to go . . . home.”

The messenger nods, ”I’ve already arranged passage for you. The ship leaves tommorow morning from Riddleport. We need to leave now if you’re going to make it.”

Alric quickly gathers his notes and backpack. ”Thank you, James. Let’s get going.”

Alric and James make quick time down the mountain to Riddleport. The trip down the mountain is silent except for Alric’s thoughts. What’s going on? Dad’s dead, Mom’s been kidnapped, and Granddad is hurt, maybe dieing. . . I haven’t been home in almost 3 years, since Granddad sent me on this path of enlightenment. . . What is normally a 2 day trip, they finish in 15 hours, arriving in Riddleport about 5 hours before The Hagfish is supposed to depart. Alric goes with James to his residence, cleans up a bit, and gets a quick bite. Alric quietly gathers his things and turns to James, ”I guess this is goodbye. I didn’t expect this journey to end so suddenly, but it must. Thank you for all your help. Without you bringing provisions, and helping with some of the research, I couldn’t have survived up there for months on end.” Alric hands James a small artifact, gathers his gear and walks out the door to the docks.

Alric arrives at the dock and quickly finds The Hagfish and her captain, Captain “Lucky” Keelhull. As Alric starts to introduce himself, ”Alric Magnus? You have good friends, you’re spot is already paid for, just go talk to my first mate, Thonk and he’ll show you to your bunk. Welcome Aboard!”

Alric quickly finds Thonk and he points him to a row of bunks and walks back up to the main deck. I guess I just pick one. At least it’s only a couple days to Sandpoint. The trip is easy enough. Alric is the only passenger on the cargo ship. The rest are crew, who are friendly enough. Alric spent his spare time pouring over his notes. After a day and a half of travel, Thonk comes down to the bunks ”Get your stuff together, we’re two hours from Sandpoint.” Alric thanks Thonk and is just about to put his papers away when he sees a connection. He reaches for the message James brought to him in the ruins. Is there a connection here? It’s a prophecy. It’s going to happen again . . .No, that’s not right . . .it’s happening again. After only a day and a half of travel, The Hagfish arrives in Sandpoint Harbor.

Alric thanks Captain “Lucky” and Thonk, and departs for Granddad’s house. It’s a quick jaunt from Sandpoint Harbor to Granddad’s house on Prickleback Lane. Alric arrives at the door and is about to knock when he’s flooded with emotion. It’s been three years since Alric left this very door to begin the self enlightenment of his Kensai training. Granddad told Alric to make his way to Riddleport, then find the small monastery up the mountain a couple days and train both his mind and his body to work as one. Magic and blade are the tools of the Kensai, and train Alric did . . .for nearly three years. Three years, and I come back home like this. Well, here we go.[/b] Alric raps the door a couple times, then walks on in.

The residence is nearly the same as Alric remembered it three years prior. Relics and books strewn on the bookshelves. A well used falcata hangs above the fireplace. The big difference was the frail old man in Granddad’s bed. For the first time Alric could remember, Granddad looked old. Alric looks down at the frail old man and failing to hold back any tears, barely gets the words out, ”Hi Granddad.”

Granddad looks up at Alric and a glint of familiarity stares up at him. [i]Granddad may be hurt and dieing, but his eyes are still full of life.

”Are you going to hug your Granddad or not? You’d better not keep me waiting or it’ll be too late.” Alric wraps his arms around his Granddad and then proceeds to tell him of his last three years at the Thassilonian monastery. He goes over his sword training and all the research he found on the walls and in the relics of the ancient place. He even shows him how he finally learned to channel his mind to enhance the falcata that is no longer on his hip. After a couple hours, Alric finally got to the question he needed to ask, but was afraid to. ”So, what happened to you and mom and dad?

Granddad pauses and sighs, then slowly looks up at Alric, ”The truth is, I don’t really know what it was. The three of us decided to go for a walk just outside the town. Shortly after we stopped for lunch, I got hit in the head from behind and ended up out cold. When I came to, which couldn’t have been more than a couple minutes, I heard your mother screaming ”Let me go! Let me go!” and your father was on his stomach, dead. I tried to pinpoint where your mother was, but I couldn’t tell. The strange thing was the burn marks on your father. He wasn’t killed by any weapon or creature I could recognize. I barely stumbled my way back to town, and collapsed at the bridge. What took your mother, was something else. It wasn’t what you’d call, ‘Normal.’ Your mother needs your help, and so might all of Sandpoint. It looks like you’ve set yourself on the right path. I have confidence in you . . . and I’m proud of you. . . As is your father and mother.
Now go. “
Alric hugged Granddad, and with tears in his eyes, walked out the door.

Where do I begin?. . .

Yeah, I suppose you can have a drawback. Also I don't much care if you already know Burnt Offerings as long as you separate player knowledge from character knowledge.

Outlander, lore seeker. I can change it if necessary.

In order of your questioning -
Yes, a distant angelic ancestry that was mixed with a fallen angel(demon). She doesn't have horns/fangs but does have the eyes of a teifling and where she lived, as a whole, saw her silver markings as 'evil' as they resembled that of evil deities symbols. (And, growing up in the country of Ustalav doesn't help).

Ran out of sorts, more like, teleported.
No no, lover was killed, her mentor was wounded and would be dead in about another minute or less. She came looking for more powerful magic and possibly a way to return her mentor to life from gold. (As she had somehow manage to turn him to through a flesh->stone spell that remained permanent)

Wild life eh?

If it's a bit to outlandish/far fetched I have a fighter I could apply with.

If there is still time, I've got a couple concepts I'd like to sort through and chuck one in.

Either an iron beard dwarf magus, a kobold cleric of Asmodeus or spellblade magus, or a titan mauler halfing barbarian... still not sure yet which one I like best.

Also, everybody, I will be busy all of tomorrow. I will be back on August 16th, when the recruitment ends, and choose the players. Until then, anybody else, feel free to make a submission.

Break a leg, dear. In the meantime, the table will need updating:

It appears that several players that have expressed interest have not yet submitted a character. If any of you are still browsing this thread, there is yet time to throw something into the hat for consideration. A richer pot luck benefits everybody.

Oh, one more thing, Fate. I know the chance of you seeing this and responding is small, given your business tomorrow, but Gars's questions regarding appropriate character ages and the background skills system from Pathfinder Unchained have gone unaddressed. Background skills in particular are relevant to my interests, as a seamstress and aspiring tailor and jeweler.*

* I am, of course, quite ignorant of the impending call to advanture.

I went over Cade and lowered two of my odd stats so that I could get down to 18 point buy.

I verified by money and I spent less than average on my gear.

I notice I need to pick a trait grrrr.
