Nubb and T'Kesh both miss their targets while Skitt heals himself. Meanwhile, the other Downside Kings hurry deeper into the warehouse. The armoured ifrit and the ysoki scurry inside and put their backs against the crates, the shirren circles around the area of the flare, and the human woman ducks under the stairs and puts her back to the warehouse wall, carefully hiding under the catwalk as she creeps up on our heroes. Unfortunately for her, she has no idea that Rabbot is above her and well aware of her presence...

Although T'Kesh and Skitt miss, Nubb's laser fire strikes the lashunta hard enough that he falls over unconscious! The ifrit and the ysoki look at Nubb in fear and quickly fire their guns at him! The bullets and laser blasts slam into the crates and boxes behind him -- all except for one! One blast strikes him in the shoulder. (Nubb takes three fire damage). Meanwhile, the shirren circles around the fight, hoping that Nubb and T'Kesh will be too distracted by the others to bother shooting him. Sifting through the bodies for gear the group finds six suits of flight suit stationwear, six azimuth laser pistols with 10 charges remaining on each of their batteries, 7 extra batteries, 4 clubs, and 2 survival knives. Ferani is wearing an estex suit I with a quick release armour upgrade, a holoskin, a tactical semi-auto pistol with 30 rounds, two mk I serums of healing, a datapad (tier 1 computer about the size of a tablet), and a key card. Finally, the burly vesk is wearing troop ceremonial plate, carrying an assault hammer, an azimuth artillery laser, an auto target rifle with five magazines of longer rounds (10 cartridges each), a frag grenade I, a shock grenade I, and two incendiary grenades I. Scattered among the bodies you find eight credsticks with a total of 1,600 credits on them. Finally, a search of the warehouse turns up 500 UPBs.

She turns dramatically, staring off into the distance with a smouldering stare. It looks wonderfully dramatic. The little automated cameras hover through the air, filming her from many different angles.
"Unfortunately, our next stop won't be to go hunting. It will be... in an office! Sunnyside Salvage Shuttle and Towing! My current target..." With a wink at the camera she adds, "Locking on!"
Then she looks at the rest of her companions.

The group leaves the warehouse behind, hurrying off before station security, other members of the Downside Kings, or other gangs come to investigate. Outside the yellow caution tape is torn to shreds, and mounds of broken walls and rubble fill the 'road,' clearly the result of the Downside Kings blowing their way into the warehouse with grenades. There's not a pedestrian or bystander in sight...
After a few twists and turns down the hall, the streets become crowded and noisy, with the ever-present thrum of vital station machinery vibrating the metal walls of the stores and tenements. The buildings reach two storeys above street-level, their roofs built just under the ceiling that separates level 21 from level 20. Unlike the artificial daylight halogens on the station's Ring, the levels of the Spike seem to have no such luxuries afforded to them. Instead, hanging between all of the buildings are lines of electrical lanterns, bathing the alley-streets below in dim, amber-coloured light.
The group begin to make their way to one of the several stairwells serving as access points to the Spike. Ascending through stairwells and access elevators they finally reach the Ring. There, they return to the small Ringtrain platform.
It is not a long wait before one of the ringtrains stops at the station platform, the thrum of the mag-lev propulsion system being set to idle vibrating through the air. People pour out of the carriage and the group enters. The carriages are all equally crowded, with little room for personal space.
Once all the new passengers have boarded the carriage, the doors close behind them with a hydraulic sigh, and the ringtrain lurches forward slowly to make its way towards its next destination.
The view out of the windows is a blur of tall buildings and streets far below, and the borders between neighbourhoods appear to be distinctly jarring as styles of building change from block to block, and sometimes from one side of the street to the other. The ringtrain stops a few times, with each station being announced with a robotic voiceover through the carriage's intercom about a half minute before slowing down and stopping at another elevated platform.
Finally, the intercom's voice announces "Drifter's End" as the next stop, and many of the carriage's occupants shift their feet as they prepare to disembark. The district and streets below are clean enough, with graffiti-style murals and public notice boards affixed to many of the bare building walls. Neon signs advertise all manner of businesses, most of them geared towards explorers, long-haul space crews, and space-faring vagabonds of varying sorts. Every street seems to have a bar or recruiting office somewhere on it, and all of the roads feel like they lead to the central jewel of the neighbourhood, the Lorespire.
The Lorespire is a building and campus owned by the Starfinder Society, which is much bigger than any other building in the neighbourhood. The campus complex takes up nearly a whole district block on its own. Deep blue metal clads the various multi-storeyed buildings making up its structure, and a massive blue tower in the centre of the complex with a gilded golden compass star spinning slowly on the top of it.
Just down the road from the Lorespire is a yellow and gold skyscraper topped with a hologram of a brilliantly bright sun. Holographic flames flicker on the sides of the building cascading down the walls from the roof, and flickering out into the yellow paint halfway down its length. Emblazoned on the each side of the building in big red sparkling letters is the word 'Sunnyside.' Over the main entrance is a decorative arch emblazoned with the businesses full title 'Sunnyside Salvage Shuttle and Towing.' Although it doesn't look like the fanciest building in the neighbourhood, it's certainly one of the most eye-catching!
The group retraces their steps through the streets, past the Lorespire Campus and up to the front entrance of Sunnyside. A concrete ramp leads up to the buildings large glass doors. They slide open at your approach with a quiet 'swish.'
Inside is a large reception area with at least a dozen people wandering through or waiting. It's appointed nicely, with comfortably deep seating arranged in ways to promote conversation and potted plants interspersed pleasingly through the room. Behind the reception desk sits a human woman in professional business attire, her blonde hair pulled back in a tight ponytail.
As the group enters the secretary looks up and frowns. They can see that the secretary has an earpiece in her left ear and is tapping at a keyboard with both hands. Her eyes are red and puffy from crying.
"Did you... Did you hear anything about Durovar?" she asks them sadly. "Anything at all?"
| Rabbot |
"Beep... bop... rabbot... must speak to... Chiskisk first..." Rabbot replies as she zooms up to the secretary.
| Skitt |
"Yeah, let's move out!" Skitt exclaims happily, throwing his arms into the air in excitement!
Skitt frowns when he sees the sad lady. "Oh, no! Don't cry! Here, I'll help! Skitt grabs a box of Kleenex and brings it to the lady. He smiles proudly. "Here ya' go!"
