Rabbot lowers her neck and makes herself as small as possible. She draws her laser pistol. As soon as Skitt opens the door she zips right inside and hides in the darkness. The carefully looks around.

The doors grind open with a loud CREAK. Dim light from the outer hallways spill in through the doorway, casting the first thirty feet of warehouse near the entrance in dim light. To each side of the door is a flight of stairs that leads up 15 feet in the air to a catwalk that circles the warehouse's perimeter. Dim, flickering blue lights hang on the walls behind the catwalks, casting them in an irregular, spooky light. The warehouse ceiling is a long ways above you, a full 30 feet, making the roof tall enough to brush against the ceiling of this level of the Spike. Ahead and to the right, just within view is a series of large cylindrical containers nearly ten feet tall. Ahead and to the left is a gas pump, and a series of large crates, each of which is five feet tall. To T'Kesh and Skitt the rest of the warehouse is shrouded in darkness -- a mystery.

To Nubb and Rabbot, who can see much better in the dark, they see that the crates and cylinders continue on throughout the warehouse. At the edge of their vision is a pile of rubble and debris.

Nubb and Rabbot can see everything in the map not covered in black. Skitt can see everything within the yellow circle and around the catwalks. T'Kesh can see everything within the red circle and around the catwalks.

No one hears any sounds of movement, speech, or breathing... Only the chatter of the people hurrying past on the hall-streets outside, the whooshing sound of the air vents, and the rumble of the Spike's machinery break the silence...

Refusing to admit she can't see in the dark, T'Kesh looks around at the ground, looking for signs of the monster.

She picks up a spine off the ground, stares at it, then licks it. Holding it up to the camera she ennounces, "It's an electrovore. A small creature that siphons electrical charges from technological objects and living creatures. These spines line its back and can conduct a charge. If you listen close you might hear it crackle right before it tries to shock you. The little runts can fly, so don't forget to look up."

Then she stands up and looks around the warehouse. Seeing no sign of the beast she moves forward a bit.

"Beep... bop... rabbot... stairs mode...." she whispers. She quietly drives up the stairs on her strange new wheels. Then she walks along the catwalk, trying to see what's in the warehouse.

As Rabbot drives along the catwalk she can see all across the warehouse. There's a hovercar in the back corner, a yellow forklift and a big hole in the ground where there should be the building's power generator. Beside the forklift is a metal rack that holds a platform ten feet in the air. Five foot tall crates are stacked under and on top of the rack. There's a ramp leading up the metal racking which looks like it is wide enough to hold the forklift.

Rabbot cannot see or hear the monster anywhere...

T'Kesh turns on her armour's lights, which makes the area directly around her lit up dimly. She strides off into the warehouse and spreads her arms wide. "Come on, then!" she bellows. "I'm here and I'm delicious!!"

A moment later she adds, "Just like you."

The electrovore lets out a howl of pain. Electricity crackles along its spine, and then flashes out, exploding in the area around the electrovore! (Nubb takes 3 electricity damage and is staggered for 1 round. He can attempt a DC 13 Reflex save to negate the staggered condition and take half damage.)

"BEEP... BOP... RABBOT!" Rabbot yells like an alarm. "SKITT!! YOU NEED TO SAVE T'KESH! WE NEED YOUR HELP! SHE HAS A FLASHLIGHT ON! HURRY!"

Then Rabbot ducks behind a bar and fires her gun at the electrovore!

Nubb shoots the electrovore, causing it to howl in pain! It turns its beady eyes on him. Sparks crackle along its spines. Taking advantage of its anger, Rabbot ducks out of sight and pops back up a few steps away firing a blast from her laser pistol. She shoots it in the wing! It falls to the ground and lands hard, making a loud CRACK sound as it's little bones break.

The electrovore is defeated.

Meanwhile, Skitt hurries over to the unconscious form of T'Kesh, ready to help her.

Battle over! Great job! But T'Kesh is still in danger!

"Beep... bop... rabbot.... jump mode... enabled...." Rabbot bounces up over the railing, lands on a crate, and then leans down to the ground. She pulls out a healing serum and zooms over to Skitt. She hands him the healing serum.

"Wow!" Skitt exclaims as he sees Rabbot bounce around. He takes the healing serum and feeds it to T'Kesh!

Then he starts poking and prodding her booboos, picking out all the spikes and helping her heal!

Using healing touch. It takes 10 minutes and heals T'Kesh 5 hp.

T'Kesh groans as she opens her eyes. "Uh... That's going to take some creative editing..." She lays still for Skitt to tend to her, then staggers to her feet. Spending 10 minutes and 1 RP to regain her SP.

When she spots the electrovore she frowns. "Blasted thing. I'll make it into a stew later." She plucks the last few spines out of her snout.

Nubb moves over to the forklift and checks it out. Then he notices the bigger vehicle and moves over there instead!

The forklift runs on wheels and a special gasoline. Nubb soon discovers its in working order, and he could drive it around if he wanted. However, there is very little fuel in it. He's not sure for how long it could run. Best guess? Half an hour or so.

The larger vehicle is another story entirely. It is currently held up in the air by a crane and a series of pulleys. It looks to be a personal hovercraft, capable of holding five medium sized creatures comfortably. It runs on special rechargeable batteries -- which looks like its been eaten by the electrovore (as does the nearby charging unit and nearby replacement batteries). In addition, the hovercraft was clearly in poor condition before the electrovore came around. It looks like it was in the middle of being repaired. In the time since being abandoned its suffered further damage. Although Nubb believes that he could run a full diagnostics on the vehicle, and repair it with enough UBPs and time, he knows he doesn't have the time right now. This is a job that could takes days or, perhaps, weeks.

Rabbot drives over to the forklift, climbs on, and starts driving it. "Beep... bop... rabbot... wheeeeee..."

When T'Kesh can get up and move again she gives Skitt a pat on his fluffy yellow head. "Good job. Now make sure that sucker's all plucked. You don't want to get a spine in your stew."

Then she wanders around the warehouse -- blindly! Her light only illuminates the area immediately around her.

Once she's quickly checked through the place she starts to look inside all the crates and barrels, curious what tools and supplies they might have at their disposal for this ambush.

From the signs scattered throughout the warehouse, T'Kesh believes that only one electrovore was in residence here. However, it did a number on the generator, and it will need to be repaired or replaced before the lights can be turned on.

While searching through the crates and barrels T'Kesh discovers that anything that had any energy pulsing through it -- including batteries -- was eaten by the electrovore. Many crates are smashed open, or have giant holes in them, and the contents of those crates are ruined. However, she does manage to find some objects of interest. T'Kesh finds two barrels of replacement fuel for the forklift, 200 UBPs, six flares, one healing serum, and a medpatch. In the pile of debris on the floor -- which was the creature's nest -- she finds two batteries that had yet to be consumed, a flashlight, a digital watch, and a credstick with 100 credits on it registered to someone named 'Grantz.'

"Beep... bop... rabbot... let's get... trapping.... whoooo..... whoooo.... she is going... down...."

Rabbot hops on the forklift. She moves all of the crates out of the way and makes them into a a pair of tall walls. She moves the barrels up onto the metals grating that used to have crates on it. She moves the crane across the warehouse and positions it over the entrance. She sets it up to hold two big metal crates. Once the lady enters she will use it to drop the two metal crates over the entrance so no more of her friends can get in, and so she can't get out! It uses up al the forklift fuel and she has just enough time to park the forklift in the corner. She also sets up the flares in the middle so that everyone can see but only in the centre.

When it's time Rabbot will wait by the crane.

My plan is awesome.

Skitt takes the watch and puts it on. He holds the flashlight in one hand. He also takes both extra batteries for his gun. Then he stands on the catwalk. When the ambush starts he is going to shoot down at the bad guys from up there.

While he waits he's going to tinker with the hovercraft's replacement battery charging station (which is what he's hiding behind).
