To Scagni:

"Thank you for finally taking delivery of this chest. Here is the key. If anything in that chest will be immediately useful, please let us know."

After handing off the key, Jawhar heads toward the store room with everyone else.

"Perhaps we should check for more traps? Let's take our time with the search and be absolutely sure."

Jawhar begins checking the floor in front of the door, then examines the door itself, being extremely thorough.

Ok proceeding through the door everyone? Jawhar are you fully healed? who opens the door and who goes in first ect..? Move your pawns to where you want them I'll reveal the room now.

Jawhar looks the door up and down, a crude sign written in an unfamiliar language, hangs on a loose bolt protruding slightly out of the heavy metal door. A heavy Iron bar is braced across the door held by two sturdy brackets. Skagni speaks up as your party readies to enter the room, The sign is in Goblin and says "Keep out", I don't know if this was part of my fever dreams our I actually am remembering something but.. I think a goblin went in there on a dare and never came back....although I could be wrong almost all the slavers were goblin and several of them came and went. Skagni looks worried as your party unhinges the bar that locks the door..He rises on unsteady feet and says, Do be careful! Perhaps I'll just go wait in the other room.
Let me know who does what and what is in your hands as you enter the room before reading the spoiler below.

behind the iron door:
Upon opening the door, the blast of cold from the room beyond is sharp and shocking. The room seems dimly lit by a soft blue light and the floor twinkles as though wet. In the west wall stands a tall, slim door made of a dark, bluish metal and carved with hundreds of runes and sigils. Looking up, the room disappears into a cold, cloudy haze.

Yes, I am fully healed.

I took a stab a a more or less standard order, but I put jawhar behind craggark so I can get a buff on him early if there is a scary monster right inside the door.

Jawhar waits patiently for Craggark to open the door. His shield is still strapped to his back and he has the wand of bless in one hand, while the other is ready to cast a spell.

Once Craggark opens the door, he looks over his shoulder, expecting some nasty surprise.

"Is that ice? Maybe we should stop and put our cleats on?

Ok. I wondered about Jawhar's positioning, but that makes sense. And he can move back through Jamir's square if he needs to get out of the corridor.

Jamir pulls a potion out of his bandolier and quickly swallows it, then draws his rapier with a grim smile. For a moment, he is surrounded by a golden glow, but it quickly fades from sight.

"Shield of Faith," he says in response to Torvald's questioning eyebrow. "Makes me a bit harder to hit. I received it in exchange for a donation to a Caydenite brewmaster in Kalsgard. It's a little hoppy, but it goes does smoothly."

Peering past Jawhar and Craggark into the empty room, Jamir lets out a low whistle.

"Underground slave den, with an unearthly cold room, and a hidden door covered with arcane runes? Have I mentioned how much I hate Irrisen?"

After a moment, he adds, "Where is the goblin's body? The one that didn't come out?"

One of these days I will actually get some benefit out of a consumable buff...

"Let me put my cleats on also." Lia says as she begins to do just that. Everyone that has cleats puts them on.

As soon as she has the footwear in place she also says, "Let me give resistance to everyone just before we go in."

Then she makes sure her alchemist's fire is ready in one hand, along with her saltpeter in the other before she speaks to the group further, "Let's not all bunch up at the entrance. Make sure to spread out once we go in. Even with cleats it will be slow walking n there."

As the others look on they notice a spark in her eyes as her tone turns most serious, "Whatever is in here, needs to feel the burn for what we have endured so far. I don't want you in the way."

"If you wouldn't mind, I really would prefer to lead here."

We wouldn't know about the ice until AFTER we open the door, so if we are going to see ice and then decide to put cleats on, you should knock off 2 rounds from each of those.

Craggark will also only have 7 rounds of PvE left. Being generous, we could say that Jamir waited until after the resistances before taking his potion, if the GM will allow that. So also 7 rounds of that left.

Craggark swings the door out-ward and an icy blast hits the entire party. A light mist nearly transparent mist clings close to the glossy floor. Looks like Jamir, Lia, Torvald, Craggark, Jawhar, with the dragon going in there somewhere.

male Snows of Summer

Ok so Jamir will act first, then Ana can get her spell off it's Craggark after that (Herolab is pushing Torvald beneath Craggark probably because of encumbrance? But Craggark can always delay) Torvald is 4th if Craggark doesn't delay, then the Dragon finally Jawhar.

The dragon does a weird hissing cough sound that might pass for a laugh in Draconic and begins to inhale the Icy air of the room getting ready to expel it's freezing death. Jamir knows he must act quickly!

Let's give Jamir some time before the rest of you post ok? then Ana's color spray will go off..try not too meta too much as she didn't announce what spell she'd cast before moving and casting it..ie..if you think your character would run and charge into battle go ahead and do that.. The encounter is tough especially if she gets the breathe weapon off on all of you but since 4-5 won initiative I honestly expect you to beat her in 1-3 rounds

This is what Jamir is going for.

Jamir quickly glances at Lia and Torvald, and gets all of the information he needs from the horrified expressions on their faces. Whatever this small dragonlike thing is, it will not be friendly or easy to kill.

Good! I feel in need of a challenge!

As he drops his buckler and takes a short step to one side to lengthen his runway, Jamir says,

"So, Craggark, how does Jamir Montajay, of the Cassomir Montajays, Dragonslayer, sound as a new introduction?"

Jamir runs towards the creature, then leaps at it, rapier extended as far as he can stretch his sword arm.

Acrobatics DC 16: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

YES!!!

Rapier: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 191d4 ⇒ 4

Lucklesshero - I'm not sure where Jamir would land after that jump, so I'm placing his token one square past the creature in the direction he was running.

Unfortunately even though it makes all the sense in the world..(and obeys the laws of physics) you cannot move past a creature while you attack, without a feat like Spring attack or Flyby attack (think of how hard this encounter would be is the dragon didn't have to just sit there and hover, before she used her breathe weapon! In the end I'm going to have to place you right in front of her square unfortunately ..

Jamir ...ever the hero...runs and leaps towards the beast rapier extended. He has lined up the rapier perfectly to skewer the little flying lizards breast bone. His rapier lands true and begins to bend back , the tough armored scales of the Dragon resisting the steel of the little halfiling's blade. However, Jamirs' momentum is too much not enough for the steel-like plates of the tiny Dragon and Jamir's blade does not find purchase between the gaps of the overlapping plates. The creature laughs in the face of Jamir, as he drops to the floor in front of it, ecstatic that it still has the chance to draw First Blood.

*edit* Tsk tsk Jamir you forgot to add charge to your die roll or you wouldn't have hit..you can send checks or money orders to your benevolent GM by way of thanks..heart felt bows, curtsies, and other plaudits also welcome and encouraged!I failed to look at Jamir's movement line before posting he hit because of charge..never mind retcon bot activated ..Jamir doesn't hit and his pawn is moved..he no longer has charging condition.

male Snows of Summer

The Dragon's mirth is short lived as Analia blast it with a color spray will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (13) + 4 = 17 However the creatures innate will helps it to overcome the dizzying array of colors and it continues to posture and hiss..

Craggark your turn unless you delay for Torvald..after Craggark and Torvald it's the Dragon's turn

Craggark clomps ahead through the ice underneath the hovering beastie (though not directly underneath).

"It would sound good, Jamir, if I don't steal the mantle first!"

The half-orc flings his last vial of alchemist's fire at the dragon.

Thrown Attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (13) + 3 = 161d6 ⇒ 5

male Snows of Summer

Craggarks throw looks to be true but at the last second, the nimble little beast moves it's wings and the fire arcs back in craggarks direction, exploding at the frostkin's feet! The fire licks up scorching Craggark a little, and even a bit of the splash hits the nearby Dragon, causing it to screech in terrible pain . A fire miss: 1d8 ⇒ 1

Luckily that fireward gel prevents Craggark from taking any damage ^^

Torvald feels a knot form in his gut--even a dragon as young as this one was a tough, mean, and cunning adversary. He didn't care for their chances all bunched up like this. "Spread out before it can unleash its frost breath!" the dwarf cries. Grimacing, Torvald reaches into a breast pocket and withdraws a fat, greasy-looking black pill. "I hate these things," he mutters and pops it into his mouth, chewing even as his face twists in disgust.

Almost immediately, the dwarf's limbs bulge as though swollen by some invisible stinging insect. The hair all over his body thickens and coarsens, taking on a metallic sheen even as his skin rapidly grows stone-like, knobby warts. The end result is hideous, Torvald knows, but it makes him damn hard to kill.Twisting his wrist he pops his healing wand back into his hand.

"Du scaly rotte! Du er enda ugligere enn jeg er! Kom og test din mettle mot en dverg av Janderhoff!"

If it speaks Dwarven:

"You scaly rat! You're even uglier than I am! Come try yourself against a dwarf of Janderhoff!"

Move Action to draw mutagen (+4 Con, -2 Cha, +2 nat armor), Standard Action to drink it, Swift Action to get wand in hand

male Snows of Summer

Torvald I'm unclear did u just take some kind of elixir I didn't know about? Cause elixir's =your spells and I have you listed as using shield but still have cure lt. wounds available. And as far as I can recall with Alchemist (please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this), is that they can use their elixirs or throw their bombs as a single move action that provokes attacks of opportunity ..(ie. no need for the move action to draw them) Now if you meant to draw you mutagen that does require a move action and then a standard to drink it..However, your mutagen is more powerful than you listed instead of +2 con and -2 chr it gives +4 con -2 chr, and +2 nat AC:! (herolab for the win brother..think about it) also thx for reminding me the fireward gel I remember u posted it a while back but it wasn't in the list of buffs..should help Craggarck to stay close while the magic people rain fire death on the dragon.

The little white Dragon thoroughly irritated that the part has spread out so much, fly's back and hovers near Analia (automatic on fly check to hover) provoking an attack from Craggark. It the unleashes it's breathe weapon at both Jamir and Craggark.

breathe dmg: 2d4 ⇒ (2, 2) = 4 DC:14 reflex for 1/2 round up

Caggark gets an AoO it's Jawhar's turn. The Dragon is still hovering about 9ft off the ground

5-foot step back.

I am hoping I am outside of its reach, but probably not. Either way we'll know more soon

Drop the wand of Bless
Swift: Retrieve wand of PvE from wrist sheath.
Move: Retrieve an Alchemist's Fire

So, shield is still on my back, wand in one hand, vial in the other, I probably have to survive an AoO, although it didn't take one on Jamir, so maybe not.

thx for keeping track of the buffs Jawhar, if I could give you that job at the end of your turn for the rest of the battle it would save everyone else from posting. Top of the round Jamir then Ana's turn

Craggark's AoO first :) (without Bless)

male Snows of Summer

boting Craggark's AoO let's see I think he only get's the blessed fist + his str. and BAB..if I'm wrong we'll adjust GM's roll accordingly

AoO: 1d20 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (14) + 4 + 1 = 19

As the creature flies by Craggark he swings at it and misses it settles in near Analia and lets out it's frosty breathe against both Craggark and Jamir.

Just a reminder will need reflex saves from both Craggark and Jamir to determine whether or not they take 2hp or 4hp of cold dmg.
Craggark's reflex total is +6 (you might think +7 Craggark but both PFE and resistance are "resistance" bonuses and do not stack)Jamir should be piping in with a +8 resistance roll?! As is my custom I like to let my players roll their own saving throws. It's Jamir's turn as well..
