That seems awfully low. Guess that idea isn't going to pay off.

Yea, best laid plans and all that. Apparently more than 1 day of 'team building' was necessary. All good now.

Will be offline until tomorrow night. Bot me if necessary.

I have decided that Mr. Metropolis was Randolf's favorite hero for his whole life. Now he is wrecked by his first meeting with his "hero" going the way it did.

I've posted the mechanical stats of the HQ on the campaign tab for those interested. I'm working on the actual post now.

Whew, talk about wall of text crits in succession.

All right some more mechanical breakdowns.

You have effectively been given a 20 equipment point headquarters that you will not need to spend any equipment points on at this time. If anything should happen to it, Mars will help to fix it.

It does mean anything beyond the 20 equipment points itself is up to you all to spend. AKA, any additions to it, any super vehicles and whatnot. There may be other such rewards later on, but for now keep that in mind.

Also as this is free, it doesn't count towards alternate HQ. If you want your own lair, it's full price. Sorry :(

The three add'l hero points we have gained, DM...is it okay to save those until we get enough to Hit power level 11 and use them all at that time?

Male Demigawd Nerd 5, Dungeon Master 6, RPGA GM 2, PFS GM 1

hero points and power points are different.

Hero points are used for extra effort.

Power points give you more powers, skills, advantages, etc. (aka, xp)

But yes, you can save them if you want.

Right, power points That's what I meant, lol...

To clarify then, have we gained a total of 3 pp since starting, or was it a mix of pp and hero points?

Hmm, I'll be honest not 100% certain. About to head to work, but either tonight or tomorrow I'll double check both the books and the thread to give you all an exact value on both of those.

I am pretty sure we have gotten three POWER points. I remember us first getting awarded two at one time, then the recent one additional point.

I have written down that I now have three HERO points as well. I assume that's right, but can't swear to it.

Hadn't checked in a while, but did today and the Emerald City book is out now. So I just downloaded that and will be giving it a read through as time permits.

The next part of the adventure is an interview with AEGIS to serve as an introduction with them. I'll get the first post of that up tomorrow. It's mainly a RP session to introduce them to you. In a face to face game it would probably take about an hour or so, but due to the nature of PBP it could easily take a month or more if I did it that way. So after the initial introduction I'll present it more as a list of questions and allow each to respond to them as they'd see fit to keep the game moving. Just a heads up on that. (I'd get the post up tonight but about to fall unconscious).

All right, apologies time.

I have been lax in my posting as of late and just want to explain why. A few weeks ago I found out some possibly bad health related news of myself (nothing life threatening). I was supposed to go get some blood work drawn on it. I instead chose to follow the most mature approach of skipping my appointment and trying to ignore it. The fun part is I've been becoming more and more depressed on it, and that always ends up in a spiral out of control and has affected everything I do (PBP included). So I'm picking up the pieces of what I've screwed up and moving on with things. I'll be rescheduling my appointment tomorrow.

As far as my games go, I'm not giving them up because of the depression. That would be giving in. I'm going to be getting in my updates tonight and getting them moving again and keeping them moving. I'm sorry for my sporadic posting and hope you guys will forgive me.

It's alright. A game is just a game.

Take your time, DM. We'll be here when you get your head back in the game. Thoughts are with you on your health issue.

Know what it's like to have health problems, just hang in there. Do what you need to do for you, as Straightjacket said, it's just a game.

... on the other hand, hello? Are you continuing, GM, or is your situation such that you can't? Just like to know, more M&M games are coming up. Hope things are improving for you. Thanks.

I have been giving this a great deal of thought, and I've finally come to a decision. I've decided to shut down the games I'm running.

Simply put, things have changed for me since I started running them. Professionally I'm taking more and more trips it seems, which cut into my available free time, and my responsibilities have increased. The amount of time I spend their increase similarly.

My personal life has similarly been suffering, aside from my recent medical news but also the travel and having moved aside from that. Attempting to make new friends, meet new people in the community, it all takes time.

I tried setting up a posting schedule to keep me going, but trial and error showed it takes more time for me to get a post in than I thought, and DM/GM posts take quite a bit longer for me. At this point, I miss a post and start to stress on it, which causes me to doubt myself, and that in and of itself makes me take longer to post.

So I think the fair thing for me to do for you all is to step down at this time. If there's anything I can do to help out, let me know. If someone wants to take over, I'll do what's needed to pass it along.

I wish to apologize for this as well. I hope up to this point people have had fun, even with the delays. This is not a decision I'm coming to lightly, I do enjoy running them. I just don't believe I can keep it up with the way things are right now.

I'll keep the game open for a few days so everyone can see this post before making it inactive.

Oh well, it's been fun. Thanks for what you've done so far.

It is unfortunate that you cannot go on with the game. Seems like M&M games on this forum are cursed. All that being said, it is just a game, and you need to take of the important parts of your life first. I hope you are able to get things all back in order, and months or years down the road you'll be able to run games again.

I for one enjoyed this game a great deal, and it was a great taste if the super hero genre. I'd love to play with you again some time.

Thanks for the game, GM, I had fun. Hope you do well in the future.

Thanks, GM Xzaral, for run it was well done. Unfortunate that you can't continue but you have to take care of yourself. As Prime said it's just a game. Good Luck!
