Making it trough the portal wouldn't be easy it opens and closes on the same round so it's only open for about 6 seconds unless you have an ability or a spell that lets you close the distance as an immediate action you cant make it. As for the spell you would need to have redied the action to do so as it's technically "his turn" when the portal opens and you don't have time to react before he goes in. Reverie did ready the action to shoot so she can do that but only a single shot and not a full round.
Elara Korechilde
I was right next to him. Why would the portal open on 'his turn'? I gather he didn't summon it. Wouldn't it be on the turn of whoever created it? In any case if its open for six seconds those close enough can just jump through.
DireMerc
I assumed your character would be careful and not moving within 5 feet of the guy carrying swords who could potentially be hostile. as such your probably like a good 15-20 feet from him when it opens. Not exactly jumping distance when your not expecting it. Everyone else is even further away than that judging by their actions.
Bjorn Brægrim
At the strangers mention of it raining all day Bjorn mutters under his breath I'd get an umbrella 's what i'd do
As he departs through the portal, Bjorn gives a final passing remark
"I'll remember you... Don't forget it..."
Swift action demoralize, just because I can
demoralize: 1d20 + 29 ⇒ (12) + 29 = 41
Also, when I had to roll for before
Acid Reflex XP: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (6) + 9 = 15
Fort save vs the poison
Ford Save: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (19) + 15 = 34
So I take 19 damage, Wyatt takes 19, I delt fire damage on my turn so I heal 4, 2 rounds pass since then? So Wyatt takes 10 more and I heal 16...
I'm full health and Wyatt takes 29 :D
Reverie Stormflower
Reverie holds her shot, not sure if the man is truely an enemy.. Turning towards the group.. "Well now that was interesting.. Any ideas on what that guy was talking about?"
Know Geo, assisting Galgar: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (7) + 5 = 12 So +2
Galgar
Speaking more clear and concise than you can recall a 1/2 orc talkingHmm sounds like there's a power struggle going on in the hells, tho why Jubliex a demon would care, is puzzling unless he just wants to see them fight. Oh sorry just pondering, If I recall History correctly, Zargon was an Arch Devil, who had a power struggle with Azmodeus for control of the hells. Needless to say he came up on the losing end. Maybe Jubilex is trying to raise him back somehow, so the fight could begin in Earnest again. Tho why he come here to magnimar is puzzling unless something here will help him, or even the tomb itself close by.
Know Planes: 1d20 + 26 ⇒ (1) + 26 = 27 To try and recall more of story of the struggle
Ouch, must have skipped that day in Planes class
Wyatt Myved
That sounds interesting and all but why on earth would this b*@#!*+* be appearing here!? Looks at the disgusting pile of fleshes laying around
Shouting to be heard The danger might be clear for now, bring out the wounded into the nearest chapel and we'll administer healing and try and work on recovery!
Reverie Stormflower
"We need to scry and figure out where this temple is, so we can stop all this mess.. Can anyone scry on the masked stranger that just left here?"
Elara Korechilde
Elara nods in satisfaction, and turns to the group.
"My name is Elara, and if what that man described comes to pass, I will fall. Thus, I wish to head to the tomb of Zargon, and silence the demon. I trust you all are also interested. To that end, I comm-" she hesitates, and visibly has to strain to say "I suggest that you, sir" she points at Galgar "being the wizard, scry or otherwise seek out our destination, and fetch a scroll of teleportation if you lack the requisite spell. You, ma'am, should visit the town guard or mayor or whoever rules this place and inform them of our victory and our quest, and gather supplies and support for our venture. You, sir seem overly preoccupied with the state of the wounded, I take from that that you are a healer; ply your trade tonight, for I plan to leave in the morning, with the rest of you if possible. And you, with the giant axe... do whatever you want. I have to visit a girl and inform her that her father is dead. Good day, and good hunting come the morning."
Piece said, she waves her hand and her mighty construct fades into nothingness. Turning, she heads back to the inn.
Bjorn Brægrim
"Ha! I like the sounds O you very much! I will go with you."
After they had walked a little ways, Bjork continues his conversation with Elara
"Sounds like you are no stranger to command. I have a whole tribe of Vikings back north. Well, had. Then fire rained down, sumthin like what happened here, well we be used to fighting off tha cold, but fire? Lost half o our tribe there. Good chance the rest is gone.
How about you? You seem to have this primal, dreadful aura about you an I got ta say, I find it quite refreshing!"
Reverie Stormflower
"Pretty sure the rulers of Magnimar will figure out that order was restored.. I'm going to collect my Reggie cat and do some more looking around.. Ill catch up with yall at the lodge later.."
Trihedron
Elara nods in satisfaction, and turns to the group.

Noticing the authoritarian undertone from Elara, Trihedron is thankful by the fact that she has apparently overseen his presence, which will avoid unnecessary arguments, and continues to assist Wyatts' efforts to gather the wounded and direct them to the nearest chapel.
Turning to the Oracle, he comments - "There are sure to be many wounded... I will assist with directing them to you"
Turning to the others he adds - "I will scout the city to evaluate the damage caused, and herd the wounded - would you friends agree in gathering later on at the lodge so we can decide what our next steps will be? I believe some pondering and reasoning may be in order, before taking our next step into what seems to be some demonic spawned feud"
Galgar
Seeming to slip back into a typical 1/2 orc speakHar Har, funny woman creature, giving orders on things she knows nothing about. What you ask is not something i normally do and cost money, funds are something I lack at the moment.
Getting back to his better speak style I will go to the lodge and see what they have, I might be able to get loan from them, but I wont count on it.

In the city the ooze treat seem to have been contained. The citie's defenders roam looking for additional treats.
A young man garbed as a cleric of Abadar of low rank comes running pale as a sheet and seeming terrified and goes to Wyatt "Sir!...Sir! All the wounded are flocking into the temple but there is a problem sir...The clerics are dead. All of them except those who were out running errands sir..."
Wyatt Myved
The church of abadar sure is weird with their naming of things, please show me the scene as you gather the wounded. Keep in mind, I'm deaf so if I don't respond just wave or get my attention so I can read your lips.
He smiles as his wings ruffle just a little in the iron laden breeze
Reverie Stormflower
Galloping up on the back of kittie Reverie returns just in time to hear about the clerics.. "Well c'mon we must go investigate at once"

You arrive at the church to find chaos city guards are struggling to keep everyone out of the church but a large crowd is amassing screaming at them some are asking for healing (very few actually as the majority of those struck died nearly instantly) but most are asking for answers as to what happened inside.
"How are we gonna get trough this crowd says the young cleric." scratching his head.
Wyatt Myved
that's a good question...
Looks towards the top of the building and eyes the young cleric as if a carnival worker guessing his weight
Don't suppose you'd like to fly?
He scoops the young cleric up and flies towards the top of the building to enter through a roof access or belfry
Trihedron
Trihedron shakes his head as he notices the throng - "Things can get out of control really fast here" - he comments - "We should try to gain access, so we can understand what has happened inside"
Reaching behind his back, he produces the most curious of items... A broom. With a swift movement, he hops onto it as if it was a mount, and takes flight after Wyatt and the young cleric.
DireMerc
The cleric was basically shouting so you all heard him and the Cathedral of Abadar is about 300 feet from were you fought the ooze.
Also a group of guards are gathering nearby looking at Galgar the dragon with fear and hesitation. Most likely they are deciding whether or not to attack the dragon in the town square but there isn't an officer with them to make the call.
Wyatt lands on a balcony on a tower at the top of the temple. It leads into the personal chambers of the high priest. "Be careful! Some places in the temple are warded against intruders. If you try to enter the chambers of the high priest like this you might trigger a trap" says the cleric after waving to make Wyatt pay attention.
Galgar
Galgar lands Away from the woman and changes back to 1/2 orc form. he see Wyatt and Some cleric flying in, and waits for them to land.
Dont be scared, we are here to help. are there any attackers still here that you know of? What happened here? looking around for signs of hostile creatures.
Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (9) + 16 = 25
DireMerc
The woman is clearly scared out of wits and seeing a dragon turn into a half-orc isn't helping any. You question her about that happened and after a bit she replies.
"It was a man in strange mask. He just came in, drew his swords and started cutting everyone apart. The paladins, the clerics...they just couldn't stop him...He's a monster, not human...A demon he has to be a demon..."
Reverie Stormflower
Pushing Reggie into a gallop she quickly rounds the church and meets up with the others.. "Whats going on here Galgar?"
Galgar
This woman claims a man cam in here and slaughtered everyone. Just a man with swords. Doesn't sound very plausible. but they all are dead and they do look like sword wounds. Tho I'm no expert in these kind of things. he says while Looking at a few bodies
Reverie Stormflower
"I think we should definitely see.." Reverie nudges Reggie into the lead as they enter the church.. Perc: 1d20 + 30 ⇒ (10) + 30 = 40 She has blindsense 40' active atm Reggie Perc. w/Scent: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Galgar
Galgar will follow Reverie into the Church looking out for the swordsman, Finally catching is his familiar, You finally made it Salty, come on then lets go see together. Look out for a mad man with swords. as he motions for this salt mephit that seems to have flown in to the garden to follow him.
Galgar Perception: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (3) + 16 = 19
Salty Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (14) + 6 = 20
