Hey guys, I'm really having trouble getting into the spirit of things here. It might have to do with the fact that I never watched/read superhero stuff as a kid. Any suggestions on a bit of video homework? (hopefully something available for free on netflix or amazon video, because I hate youtube)

ANY of the Diniverse/DC Animated Universe stuff from the 90's/early 2000's. Batman the Animated Series, Superman TAS, Justice League (and Unlimited), Teen Titans, etc.

Young Justice if you want to see the darkest end of the tone I'm likely to take. And it's an excellent series besides.

I believe most of those are available on Netflix.

Some of the newer Marvel cartoons are fun. Unfortunately I dunno what's on American Netflix.

tbh daredevil and jessica jones are probably definitely the best for the correct tone :^)

Dunno, are they a bit dark for the more hammy style we seem to be playing? I mean, we are chasing a Mini-King Kong that grabbed a woman and tried to climb a tower...

probably punisher and watchmen would be good as well :^)

So here's the situation: Nicos stopped posting in PbPs when Lemmy got banned, Tuyena disappeared out of nowhere (leaving my Carrion Crown game in a bit of a bind in the process). Endoralis then also disappeared for a bit too, completely demotivating me to run table 1, and that kind of slipped over into this one.

If the rest of you (Redelia, DualJay, and JonGarrett) would like to continue, I'm willing to do so. If not, not.

So would we switch over to just the one thread?

I'm interested in continuing.

Still here, but I've been hurt and so between the drugs, lack of sleep an pain I'm not sure how to word stuff. Balamar hasn't clicked as well in my mind as I'd have liked, so she doesn't flow onto the page.

I'm sorry, I thought I'd told everyone. I blew my back out - mechanical damage to the spine is fun - and lost most of the use of my lower half for a while. Not to mention interesting new dimensions of pain when swollen muscles strum across you sciatic nerve like it's playing a violin. I ended up going to Accident and Emergency by Ambulance because they needed to pump me full of morphine to get me out of bed, and apparently they need to observe you for a while if they Morphine you now.

It was a less than comfortable experience, and I'm still healing up, but I'm getting better.

Sorry to hear that. Glad that it seems like you're on the mend at least. Back injuries are no fun.

Aight folks, so Sundakan/Rynjin/the GM guy has been banned for something. If ya'll want, he's happy to continue over Giant in the Playground or Discord (tentatively - Discord would be an experiment).

However, if that doesn't work, he also totally understands.

I would be interested in continuing, even if it does mean setting up a new account somewhere. Can you point me to info on what Discord is in this context?
