Dungeon Master S |
Yeah without a feat you can only charge in a straight line from the moment you move.
The tiger pounces on the man, savagely tearing at his flesh. The man manages to keep his feet, but likely couldn't survive even a few more seconds like that.
Round 1:
Art: Ready
Kiltem: Tiger

Lucky: Go (Needs Bot)
Ko: Go

I'm pretty sure that any turning precludes the "Charge" action.
I'm also pretty sure that your 1st attack will still be a hit :-)
Good to know. I thought as long as the 10 feet before the attack was a straight line you could charge.

BOTTING FOR LUCKY
Seeing the single pirate getting mauled by Kil-tiger, and Art drawing a bead on the poor sot, Lucky follows Slappy's lead, and gets ready for the second shoe to drop. He melts into the shadows, drawing kukri & sword, and moves to hide behind a pillar, affording him a good access point to perform major sneaky stabbity action to whomever pops out!

As the pirate moves, he gives an opening. The big tiger takes a quick swipe with a paw. The motion is not unlike a house cat batting at a toy or injured mouse.

Bleeding and grievously wounded, the pirate hurls his bomb at Kiltem: BOMB!: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (1) + 9 = 10, but it completely misses after Ko's hit!
Kiltem follows up and gets the man's jugular in his mouth, killing the man quickly!
For overcoming the pirate-who-never-really-bombed each pirate earns 480 XP.
Lucky emerges from the shadows, never having dealt his sneak attack. The pirate was well equipped!

Art whistles low at the spoils. Excellent! It’s unfortunate he didn’t surrender. I hope the other pirates—and mark my words, this one was NOT alone!—are smarter. He reloads his pistol and they quickly sort the loot

Kiltem Stormcrow |
Lucky already has a cloak of resistance AND a +1 chain shirt.

One enemy quickly slain, the party continues searching the room. Like before, Lucky and Tiger-Kiltem pair up for searching. The team continue making a clockwise search around the perimeter of the room. The other three remain on guard more keeping watch from potential threats and yet undiscovered badguys.
Bard and Druid continue to use their light cantrip/orison as needed.
Dungeon Master S |
Kiltem leads the party to a short dead end, but Lucky and Art both point something out. The rubble in this dead end includes some amazing marble. The chunks are large enough for resale. It would take a fair bit of worth, but they concur that this would be quite the haul. [ooc]Indeed, 4 Plunder if you spend a day here loading it up.
Kiltem makes a note of it before tapping the party on the shoulder to move on. The doorway atop the long, steep staircase opens into an octagonal room thirty feet across with a smooth domed ceiling twenty feet high. Each wall is set with a tall tarnished silver panel, as well as a dark mural of colored glass depicting an eye—each eye has a differently colored iris. In the center of the room is a raised pedestal ten feet in diameter and three feet high. A thick layer of dust blankets the room.
