Paizo's site just ate a HUGE post. Sorry guys... This version is considerably shorter.
Concentration: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (18) + 8 = 26The dwarf cleric casts a spell. The entire room looks like it's facade was striped away and everything looks hellish. Damned corpses, bloody walls etc. Everyone make a Will Save DC 13 (Yes it's a fear effect.) Failure means you're shaken and take a -2 to any additional saves verus fear.
Takahiro takes a swipe at the caster and misses, yet the man continues to do nothing.
The room also explodes in hellfire, which is very real and very hot. Everyone except Hiro make a REF save DC 18 to take half of FIRE DMG: 7d6 ⇒ (6, 1, 3, 3, 3, 1, 4) = 21
The man looks at you with resignation on his face. He trusts his mirror images to make you miss. 3 is a hit: 1d3 ⇒ 1. His gamble works AoO: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (10) + 15 = 25, but you do destroy one more image, leaving one fake and one real.
Good guys!

Aeris shrugs off the pathetic attempt to frighten him, and is able to avoid much of the damage of the powerful ball of fire, but he knows the time has come to bring down this foe. He calls on Milani to add further divine power to his bow and unleashes a volley of arrows at the airborne cleric!
Swift action to use Sacred Weapon (round 1/6 today) to increase bonus by +1. Full attack.

Takkit is almost overwhelmed by the illusion, but he shakes his head and tightens his grip on his daggers. Right as he's about to charge the woman, the room explodes into hellfire! He dodges it well enough, rolling away from the brunt of it, and comes up adjacent to the woman, where he sets to his work, stabbing twice and biting at her neck.
Five foot step to adjacent, full attack.

The arrows are JUST enough to combine with Zannah's arcane damage to bring the dwarven cleric down. She crashes to the floor. It doesn't take long for the acid of the spell to mix with her thickening blood. The cleric is no more!
Takkit, she was flying, but it's moot as she's dead. If it's okay with you I'll just redirect you: Will: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22. The kitsune moves to help his friend who is struggling with the man doing nothing. Trusting his fellow pathfinder, he takes aim at the man. 2 is hit: 1d2 ⇒ 1, and...
[spoiler=Takkit]
His calmness is an illusion! You pierce the veil just in time to destroy an illusion from his second level of defense. With the target in sight, there's nothing stopping you. Unfortunately he's awfully quick and evades your second attack and bite.
Baldwyn, Takahiro, Zannah, and Hiro.
Takkit Shinrou
|
Takkit can actually move and tumble at full speed by increasing the DC by 5, so he can diagonally flank with Baldwyn, which would mean no full attack, but he can help out, giving Baldwyn the flanking bonus to hit and Takkit some more oomph for next round. We won't really have to redo anything since the two attacks missed anyway. Let me know if you are cool with this.

Aye, where he is now, that is true. However, when I posted my move action, he was about four squares to the right, along with everyone else. Something must have happened when then hallway rectangles and the fiery hell-floor were removed. It happens to me all the time. Either way, it doesn't matter because he surrendered. :)

"You could have said that when we first walked down the hall, you know," Aeris says to the man, with a grim shake of his head. "You should mind the company you keep. Now, tell us how you got here, and who that was who attacked us."
As he listens, he pulls out a wand and begins healing the many burns on his skin.

Unfortunately you killed the one responsible for determining what's worth taking." He sweeps his arms about the room.
Indeed, now that you have a moment to catch your breath you see that it's loaded floor to ceiling with trinkets. You even find something that looks like it meets the description in the Codex.
Unless someone stops him, "My name is Ascalar. I'd say it's a pleasure, but this is solely about getting out of here." He stares at the double doors, completely at a loss for how to open them.
Having studied the Codex, you know that you need to only touch the book to the door....

Hiro stays his dagger thrusts and listens to the man. When the chance is provided, "The dirty Aspis. Well, we are here with a purpose grander than trinket snatching. Though this one will be quite useful. We have need to delve deeper into this place. Pausing he looks around at the others.
"I have no problem with you tagging along so long as you mind your manners and not attack us again."
He then waits for the others to forward any differing opinions before opening the double doors with the codex.
| Dungeon Master S |
If no one objects.... Hiro opens the door, which causes the man to snarl, "Woman sent us to our deaths! We'd have stuck here until we starved each other or murdered each other."
The next room is lined with Terracota soldiers, but otherwise nothing interesting. It ends in another set of double doors that you know require the Codex to open.
What now Pathfinders?
Takkit Shinrou

Takkit moves forward, and spends a minute inspecting the next set of doors for traps
Take 20
Once he's sure it's clear, he makes sure the party is ready before opening them.
| Dungeon Master S |
He's sure there are no traps...
Hiro Yanyeeku

"Mr. Ascalar you need not follow us into these rooms. Feel free to wait here for our return and we will ensure you get free of this vault. However, we have a task to complete and so must venture forth. Says Hiro before following Takkit through the room, "Stony faces always give me the creeps." He whispers as he helps check for traps.
"Looks clear, gonna open this set too." He says as the party indicates they are ready to move on.
Once more Hiro lifts the codex to the doors and with a subtle shift of air and a stirring of dust they part to reveal the next chamber.
Takkit, moved your token based on your action statement above and mine.
| Dungeon Master S |
"Fine by me, I don't mind waiting here."
Hiro opens the doors to a third chamber. Dominating this chamber is a vast statue—twenty-five feet tall, composed of a strange blue-green metal shaped in the likeness of a Tian woman wearing exotic robes. It’s partially shrouded in a churning vortex of multi-colored energy that hisses and crackles with menace. Extending from the statue to the walls, floor, and ceiling is an immense web-like array of shimmering energy tendrils that seem to phase in and out of reality. A white marble altar, studded with dozens of multi-colored glass knobs and metal levers, lies a few feet in front of the statue.
This is an alter to the Tien rendering of Abadar.

Aeris carefully studies the statue, pondering the materials of construction, the colors and symbology associated with it, and nods sagely. He raises a finger as if about to make an important observation and says, "I have no idea who this is supposed to be."

So Pathfinders, according to your research, realigning the Tapestry is a "simple" matter of working this machine. You're reasonably sure how to do it... Who wants to start? (Mechanically just tell me who is operating the machine and if you have anything to make it "easier.")
Hiro Yanyeeku
|
Hiro holds up the codex, "I don't see any reason not to be the first. After all it is just a simple matter of operating the machine. Before I try though, how about smashing this thing into dust for me Baldwyn?"
He places the statuette he snagged in the first room, that met the description found in the codex, on the floor before the strong warrior. "I just need a few pinches or so... I think"

Nothing seems to move, thankfully. You've heard countless stories of statues coming to life at the exact wrong time. Thankfully this isn't one of them.
Anyone else looking to aid Takkit or Hiro? (Baldwyn you can smash the statue and move on to another action.)
Baldwyn Doucas
|
Baldwyn brings out his adamantine lucern hammer and pounds at the statuette, tamping out any larger pieces until it is fairly crumbled. For the operation of the device, however, he steps back. "Trust me, you ain't wantin' me to fiddle around with that stuffs."

Sorry, travelling with the family, posting gets complicated. I also don't know how Aeris can help.

Hiro's hair stands on end as he enters the room and approaches the altar. Finding a suitable place he sets down the codex and opens it to the portion that he found discussing the powdered statuette. After the briefest of reviews he begins to operate the machine. He frequently examines the codex and liberally sprinkles the dust from the statuette.
"I think it's doing something!" He calls, obviously unsure that anything has actually changed.
| Dungeon Master S |
It certainly is doing SOMETHING... Odd is Hiro: 1d2 ⇒ 1 REF: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21. Hiro's efforts cause a massive release of energy, which according to the Codex is to be expected. What the Codex didn't say was that the energy output would be MASSIVE. A snapping explosion of static electricity that cracks exactly where Hiro was less than a second ago. Only his finely honed reflexes save him from being potentially electrocuted No pun intended.
The energy also releases a creature made of lightning incarnate. The thing looks like a spider with forked lightning for legs. Knowledge (The Planes) to identify
