I have asked Edmin and the group what they would prefer me to do, either cast Mount for Edmin and move 30' or pick up one potion cast Detect Magic and then Spellcraft and depending on the outcome, leave the potion for Edmin or tell him to take the remaining potion, and then move 30'. Cуровую will do either of these two actions this round.

Nice Cymu, jealous. But if you had seen the way I ate in Kuwait...yikes. Couple that with tripping while jogging and hurting my knee...yea super healthy trip, gained 5 pounds I think.

Rum, a slice of lemon, some cointreau and cranberry. Not the manliest thing I have drank, but damn is it tasty

The best $7 we ever spent? One of those two-handed apple slicers from Ikea. (Slightly nicer version can be seen here.)

It turns apples into snack food. Use this and with a single stroke -- Crunch! -- your apple is eight fresh, delicious apple slices. The difference is only in mouthfeel, but it's a *huge* difference. This thing means that our kids (and we) eat apple slices all the darn time. You put them in a little bowl and eat them like junk food.

Strongly recommended.

Can't say I'm a big fan of cranberry but hard to go wrong with cointreau.

Next time try 1 part belvedere, 1 part cointreau, 1 part sprite, garnish with a fresh pineapple wedge.

Well, if it's cholesterol you want...

Super simple yummy omelette with bacon:

2 eggs
bacon
butter
milk
an onion
bowl, fork, spatula

chop the onion fine
melt butter in a saucepan
fry the onion bits in the butter until they caramelize (turn brown)
scrape onions into a bowl. Drop bacon into same pan, start frying
crack two eggs into bowl with onions. Add a single tablespoon of milk.
whip whip whip the eggs, milk and onions with a fork, until well blended and frothy.
remove bacon, put aside on a paper towel
drop egg mix into saucepan to fry in mixed butter and bacon grease
after a few minutes, fold omelette in pan and turn over
when omelette is done, eat with bacon.

getting the omelette to rise takes a little practice but this recipe is not only simple, it's super forgiving -- even if your omelette never rises or is a bit overdone, it's still pretty tasty. Goes well with toast and strong coffee.

I have the really bad habit of using bacon grease to cook eggs and even sausages in.

I can come up with various baroque theories, but...

Okay, here's a simple, pleasantly addictive snack.

Real Simple Nachos:

Big bag of plain corn nachos. Plain and unsalted.
Hunk of Cheddar Cheese
Hunk of Monterey Jack cheese
Jalapenos (optional)

Chop and dice both cheeses, and mix the bits together. (If you're lazy, you can cut slices. Don't grate unless you're using a very coarse grater.)
Spread nacho chips on foil. Sprinkle cheese over chips. Throw jalapenos over chips. (Now go wash your hands before you forget and touch your eyes.)
Stick in oven, cook at I don't know, maybe 300? For like 5 or 6 minutes? Until cheese is well melted and bubbly.

Eat. Keep eating. Maybe have a beer? Goes really well with beer. Anyway, eat until all nachos are gone.

Repeat until you run out of ingredients.

Apropos of Edmin's backstory, I'm slowly coming up with answers to to the questions "Why is this character so pissed off, and at whom?" As always, it's up to the player whether this works for him.

And yes, I have some stuff in mind for other PCs. Every PC (well, every PC who wants it) should have something going on. Though the nature of that "something" may vary considerably. -- Anyway, one thing at a time. First survive this increasingly lethal sequence of tests, and then let's see.

This is going to get tricky again, we obviously have to save Bref, in about two rounds, meanwhile that boulder will pick up speed after it goes through the spikes.

@dmdm my reflex would have been one higher vs the trap due to trap sense in case that made a difference.

yes yes it did.

the worst thing I did was take a challenge. I was told that I had notlived till I had a bottle of cisco OR a bottle of nitetrain. Well I decided to do both in one night. And had a shot of something in the middle.

I lost control of ALL motor skills and wound up sprinting into a garage door so hard it opened and then I rolled into the street.

I woke up in my apt still drunk wearing a different shirt and no pants.

Oddly enough, I just had a mug of Gluhwein a few minutes ago. That's the German wine that you drink hot. You *have* to drink it hot, because at room temperature it's undrinkable -- vile, horrible. But hot, it's pretty tasty, and a great drink for a chilly, damp evening in late winter. Go figure.

(I rarely drink more than a single glass of anything, because it makes me snore, which makes Mrs. Muir unhappy. But both she and the nine-year-old have the flu. So they're sharing the main bedroom with each other and about a billion free-floating flu fomites, while I nap on the hopefully virus-free couch. Upside: I can drink two mugs of gluhwein and snore all I like.)
