Holiday plus, I think, confusion over what to do with that vampiric mist creature. Notice how as soon as we resolved that, there was around 13+ posts a day, heh.

I can't really make any comments against Bfer eating the cheese.

In the real world, even in the middle of a crime scene/torture chamber, possibly filled with blood and odors, if a I saw a hunk of good cheese from southern Europe I am pretty sure there at least a 50/50 percent chance my will power would fail and I would still take a bite.

The more the cheese tastes like sweaty feet the better IMO...big cheese fan also.
Of course my Cholesterol being 283 pretty much now prohibits my mass consumptions of the delicious cow treats...

Last night I had an exceptional dinner too but your sounds healthier and good right now!

I'm alone in a hotel. Miss my kids. On the other hand: Thai food. (Yeah, well, when you live in small-town Germany you don't get a lot of Thai food.)

Awww I'm sorry your away from your family DM!

But in the meantime can you order movies or play video games in the hotel because that would rock!

If you can please sign up for Elder Scrolls Online Beta testing.

Here's the trailer, it gets good by two minutes in.

DM all the way back in December you asked us to think of adding a unique trait for our characters - I proposed this on December 11, here is the posting -

Cуровую зиму wrote:

DM here is my proposed special trait -

In conference and private tutelage with the last remaining Cardinal of the dark prince you have found out means to use

The Voice of Seven Sinful Commands (or as the Cardinal put it, Seven Primal Strengths)

Benefit: When you cast a spell with the charm or compulsion descriptors that would cause another to conform to one of the seven deadly sins, when there is a save permitted the target's save DC is one higher, and you gain a +1 bonus to any checks made to penetrate Spell Resistance.

Furthermore, any Bluff, Diplomacy or Intimidate check you make gains a +2 bonus if it would lead the target of the check to engage in sinful behavior.

GM adjudication may be required, in some instances. Distracting a guard with an offer of fine wine and some pipeweed (gluttony), or convincing him to take a nap for a bit while you watch things (sloth), or to take a small bribe to look the other way (greed), while your allies sneak through the hallway that he's supposed to be guarding would qualify for the bonuses.

Threatening him via intimidation or threats, or attempting to enspell him to flee his post, would not, as fear and cowardice are not among the 'seven deadly sins.'

----

I re read your next seven posting but can't seem to find if you were alright with this, mostly story and flavor more than simple straight forward rules, is that trait fair by you?

As stated, I think it's a bit too powerful for a trait. I would give you either the +1 save DC on spells (not to penetrate SR -- just on the DC), *or* the +2 bonus on skill checks. Both together, that's more like a feat.

Doug M.

Thanks, I did not see that response in the Dec discussion.

Fair enough, I thought this was less powerful than other traits I saw but how about this then -

Furthermore, once per day, for every three levels the character has, when you cast a spell with the charm or compulsion descriptors that would cause another to conform to one of the seven deadly sins, when there is a save permitted the target's save DC is one higher.

----

I took off the SR reduction, kept the +2 to skill checks and made the the save DC only applicable to a single spell per three character levels, i.e. once at level 1 to 3, twice at level 4 to 6, thrice at levels 7 to 9, and so on.

It's one more resource to keep track of... but, okay.

Alright in the game thread, just curious what's preventing us from telling the squire to 'stay put and rest' after healing him then going forward to the next room?

Swallowing is just collateral damage

DM Jelani talk to DMDM. As long as game move fast still and fun, Toothpicker not care either way. Goblin think team is strong though. That is until Goblin die then maybe team not strong!
